I wonder if this place would ever run a proper Play By Post with dice rolls and whatnot.

The average life expectancy of RPs here leave something to be desired.

Ah yes, looking up words in Google Translate. Used an actual paperback dictionary back in the day, but still - looks like I'm back in the saddle.

It's not the size of the brain that counts, it's how you wield it

I would really like there to be a number of new posts near the "subs" button like the number of new alerts near the bell button.

While the Subs button does concentrate all the topics I am subscribed to, I have no way of knowing if there are actually new posts in there. This has led me to missing important updates in games where the DM posts more than the players.

What do you guys think?
<Snipped quote by Peaceless>

OCs are cool, so long as they fit the universe.

I don't see a problem with that.

Also, what's an 'OC'?
@Coga19000
Ok....I still have no idea what would be a point of interest.
@Peaceless
annotated? I am assume that means labeled or marked.

That is correct. Is it a wrong word to use? I am a filthy foreigner after all.
Interested.

Do we have to actually use people from the Marvel Universe or can we make up our own characters?
Ezekiel became stuck in the middle of one of the pre-made rebukes to the arguments that he played out in his head, since he assumed the scientist would refuse to help. The man was actually helpful, but the situation was much worse than he thought. More than one library? Worse than that, since he had no idea what field the knowledge he sought belonged to, this just meant he'd have to check all the libraries in the facility.

But how do you ask where all the libraries are without arousing suspicion? Maybe a more general approach...

"Ah, yeah, I can see the problem." He smiled. "But if the libraries are divided into fields, I may need to look into more than one to solve my problem... Say, is there a way to get an annotated map of this place? We weren't given the tour and this is kind of urgent..."

"I promise I'll help at the lab if you help me." He added in a friendly manner.
Sooo is this dead?

IS IT?!
Damn, I somehow missed this announcement.

@Sep, hit me when you start your next RP. In the meantime I'm gonna practice DMing in real sessions.
The room he opened the door to was a science lab. One wall was covered with monitors. Most of the monitors displayed some sort of formula. There were letters and numbers. In the middle of the room two sciences were going over notes at a table. They looked up at Ezekiel when he entered but quickly returned to their work. The scientist were typical science nerd. Skinny men with glasses and lab coats. Alone another wall there were machines for testing. Along the third wall held cages with animals in them. Most of the animals were of the smaller variety rabbits, mice, birds, snakes, ect.

The large young man quickly closed his mouth, thwarting any instinctive attempt to communicate with the scientists. He will probably not have more than one chance to get useful information from them, so even his first words would have to be considered seriously.

He slowly walked into the middle of the room, in a non-threatening yet dominant fashion. He knew his build would make anyone smaller than him want to unconsciously follow him, but even that illusion was quick to break.

"Hey." He said to one of the scientists that did not have anything corrosive or explosive in his hands. "I'm looking for the library, to get some knowledge. Mind pointing me in the right direction?" His voice was polite but not friendly. He meant business.
Uh, that's kind of extreme, I don't think he should be hospitalized because of that. But why not? :-)

Also, bear in mind that we are not talking about near-death here. The body is unable to use up all of its energy efficiently, because some energy-producing processes take a lot of time and are thus unavailable in emergencies. Which is where Chris's power comes in. I was thinking more along the lines of dizziness, fainting, disorientation, loss of control over limbs, loss or weakening of senses, pain etc.
"I think I'll take a look around." Chris said, absentmindedly. He really wasn't tired, and the conversation with the Watcher made him feel safer and more confident. Local anomaly expert? Ha!

There was also the question of his powers. He used to study them everyday, but now had to jury-rig all the equipment he would usually use. So he helped himself to Edith's drawers, somehow forgetting they may be trapped or filled with women's underwear. Most of the junk she had collected actually looked useful, and his mood kept getting better.
