Angel

September 9th
8:15am

"I know it's early so I won't bother you too much but I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Fiona, and it's nice to meet you."

Angel gritted her teeth as a female voice reached her ear. She really didn't want to get close to anyone here. Before she had even looked at the girl, she ended up locking eyes with a girl wearing something close to what she remembered Wednesday Addams wearing. She remembered the girl vividly: Violet Porter. It was hard not to remember her. She tended to stick out in crowds as rather unusual. To begin with, she looked small enough to walk next to middle schoolers. Her entire body was so petite and tiny that Angel couldn't figure out how her tiny head could fit so much hair. It was almost as long and thick as her body. Nonetheless, she was well known for being rather quiet to all but her previous mentors. Violet had been part of the trainees ever since Angel could remember. This was supposely Violet's first official year as a vampire hunter though she had been hacking into vampire databases for years now for the government.

She realized now Violet was watching her. She made a small hand motion as if to say, "Go on. Answer her."

Angel almost sighed aloud. Of course the hunters were not going to just let her go to the school and then lie about all the friends she made. They were watching her. There was no where to hide. She had to try to socialize if she wanted to be taken seriously as a hunter. She had no other purpose in her life. Besides, Angel could just break any friendship made quite easily after everything was said and done.

Angel finally put on a smile and turned to look at the girl who spoke. It had been a full twenty seconds from the point the girl had last spoke. "Hey Fiona what's up-"She began to greet her only to interrupt herself with her own gasp. "Jesus Christ!"
The girl was the spitting image of that lunatic vampire. She looked away rapidly, eyes slightly watering as a mountain of terrible memories flooded through her mind like a river flowing through a broken dam. She had been struggling to shove these memories to the back of her mind. She took a deep breath.

It's just a coincidence, Angel. This girl probably thinks you're rude. She thought to herself before turning back to the girl. "Sorry I err.. I saw a spider on the table. Bad phobia."

Some woman came over and started speaking to her before she could answer Angel and started scolding her about hats. Angel had no idea how wearing a hat had to do with anything but she hadn't paid too much attention to what the woman was saying. She had found herself staring at Fiona's face in astonishment. There was no way this chick wasn't related to Lee. She had to be his daughter or something. She knew vampires could have children but she had secretly had always suspected Lee was satan himself and the vampires were all his demons. Her gut instinct was not to trust this girl. After being threatened this morning, it was definitely a bad idea. What were the odds that the one girl who happens to talk to her looked exactly like him?

The devil's spawn, Fiona, ended up voicing her opinion in reply. "Surely you must have realized that nobody actually cares about the rules, much less a hat."

"Take it off or I'm sending you to the principal's office." The woman was clearly on a stupid power trip. She was probably pissed her husband was cheating on her with a younger woman or something. There was no way this old hag really gave that much a shit about a hat. However, it was possible Fiona had been giving her trouble for a while and the woman was fed up. If Fiona was related to Lee, Angel would not be surprised at all. Fiona ended up taking off her hat and calling the woman by her name in the next exchange between the two. Clearly she had been giving the woman issues for a while if she knew her first name.

"Mrs. Bitch more like it," Fiona had muttered under her breath but Angel had heard it loud and clear. She finally turned and regarded Angel with a smirk an apology. Angel nodded distractedly, squinting to try to get a glimpse at the girl's teeth. She really didn't seem like a vampire at all. What the hell was the deal with her?

"Angel?"

Angel looked down to find the speaker to be a rather short brunette. She had a very pretty face and wore a floral long dress. At first, she didn't recognize the girl and wondered how she knew her name but it slowly registered. Memories of a little girl who would come play with her and Derek resurfaced in her mind. "Charlotte."She said aloud as she recalled her name.

Oh no.

If Charlotte still lived here then that meant Derek was here still. Angel wasn't sure how ready she was to see him again.

"I can't believe it's really you, Angel!"Charlotte hugged her tightly around the waist, making Angel stare down in shock. "We thought we weren't ever going to see you again no one ever knew what happened to you!" Angel couldn't believe the scene this girl was making. People were all staring and the sudden cool wetness on her shirt made her realize that she was actually tearing up.

"Yeah it's me."Angel laughed a bit nervously, patting her back. She wasn't used to hugs. As she looked up and came in contact with Violet's gaze. Charlotte could be her ticket out of here maybe. Hesitating, she hugged Charlotte back. "It's really nice to see you again, Charlotte."She told her with a smile.

Zane

September 9th
12:30am

Zane looked at Kate gratefully as he began drinking the pigs blood. He had stayed silent as Kate basically started insulting Micah.

"I'm not trying to be a jerk to him. I'm just trying to be real with him and to help him."Micah said calmly. Zane flinched as Kate suddenly stood up and continued her rampage.

"I distance myself from the idea because I am no longer human. I am a vampire."Micah simply replied. "A lion doesn't think of a gazelle's family now does he? Death is a part of life and life is cruel. Now please stop banging on my table like a mad woman."

Zane was thankful for the next things she said. He just wanted to get out of here.
"I thank you for saving us, but I'm not thrilled with you at all and it's taking everything not to rip your goddamn throat out. How much longer do we have to stay in your mansion? Cause I'd like to leave and I'm sure he would too. Or, - the earliest, - if we can't leave, and if not, let us have some privacy in another room without one of you hundred vampire buddies nearby."

"You've made it very cleared you're not thrilled with me. However, I wouldn't suggest leaving tonight. It's raining and every vampire that ever existed is outside tonight. Even the hunters aren't trying their luck. I would suggest you stay in until the morning. There's a guest room up stairs to the right. Make yourself at home."Micah explained.

Zane quickly got up and took Kate's hand, practically dragging her out of the seat. He moved upstairs to the guest room and shut the door behind them. He locked it and ran a hand nervously through his hair. "Kate what am I going to do? What do I tell my family? Can I even live with them safely anymore?" He paced back and forth across the room anxiously as he spoke before finally plopping himself on the bed.

Alcina

__________________________________________________________________________
"Okay, Aly, I get it. I do. I will give them space." Alcina sincerely hoped Ariana was being serious. She felt an odd sense of incoming doom for some reason. Something wasn't right this semester.

"I'd love to do that. I hope we get the lake view. Come on!" Ariana had hugged Alcina and ushered her in the direction of their room. It was obvious the girl was changing the topic to combat rising anxiety. She could understand. She was starting to feel the same way herself. She took out her phone and began texting Toby about the group of boys and Riley as they walked. It took her a moment to register that Ariana was speaking again.

"I'm so happy you're my roommate, Aly. It'd be so weird if you weren't. I love you. I'm so glad you're my twin and I have you."

Alcina glanced at Ariana and smiled faintly, "I love you too sissy. "She hugged her tightly, pausing her walking, "It's going to be okay. You'll see." She broke away from the hug and led them to the room. "Yeah we can go later."She had agreed when Ariana asked about going to the assembly later. The room was quite large. Upon opening the door, one would see a large common area with two couches and a TV along with a small kitchen and table with two chairs. There were two door on the right and on the left. It was clear that the two on the right led to the bedrooms and one led to the bathroom. There was already a large luggage cart by the door with all of their luggage piled high on it. There was a sliding door in the common area that led to a small balcony with a view of the lake.

"Looks like we got the lake view. "She told Ariana with a smile. "Do you wanna go get breakfast in the cafeteria or want me to make it?"

Rose

__________________________________________________________________________

Rose had detached herself from his legs upon him moving to the side. She knew James could be quite a serious boy but this was a whole new level. She straightened up on her feet and looked up at him, giving him her attention.

"You have got to tell me you fully understood what Jason told you without making it a joke. This isn't high-school shit Rose; it's serious and more serious than you may realize. Those guys are actual criminals and have escaped jail together at least four times. Please don't make this a joke or something because it's not."

"Honestly. He caught me a little off guard and I didn't know how to react."Rose said quietly. It was the most serious she had probably sounded yet. She had never been good at being serious. Her initial reaction was always to keep the conversation unserious especially when something scared her. She didn't like to show fear and out of her anxiety, she'd try to play it off. She realized now trying to play it off was just making James upset and for his sake, she'd give in a bit. "I don't understand how they got in here and why... If they're like criminals and...rapists... or whatever shouldn't we tell somebody?" She shuffled her feet nervously, gaze glued to her pink converse. Her voice had got real quiet upon stating the "r" word.

Jason came over and rubbed Rose's shoulder. She glanced up at him. That was something he normally did not do. Jason never struck her as the comforting type. "I have a feeling the guardians already know but I'll alert them. Just stick with us and you'll be fine. And James, I think I could go for some waffles."

Lucy

__________________________________________________________________________

Lucy had never imagined this was what the guardians did at meetings. She had thought they were all super serious and sat around knowing exactly what to do. It seemed like everyone was just lost. On top of that, there was a strong tension between Scarlett and many of the people in the room. Lucy herself felt intimidated by Scarlett even though she seemed like the only one doing something productive. There just wasn't anything friendly about the woman. She decided it was probably best to stay quiet and let the more experienced people handle the situation. It was only three months ago that she had no idea superior even existed. It felt like as soon as she officially been signed on to be a guardian, they had just decided to add on, "Oh and by the way... Superior exist and they kill guardians often. Just so you know."

Lucy was pulled out of her reverie when a coffee cup was roughly set in her vision by a very-well manicured hand with at least three rings decorating her fingers. Bracelets jangled with the movement of the wrist. She glanced up at the speaker. "Here you can have my coffee if you want honey-" It was Jessamine. Lucy had seen her time and time again hanging out with the guardians when she had been a student. She remembered asking her brother if she was a guardian and being quite confused when the answer was no. She had only been told recently that there was a government faction called superior hunters.

Jessamine always reminded her of a barbie doll with the glamorous way she dressed and how her hair was always so perfect. Men seemed to be swooning and left stuttering wherever she went. It was almost a little weird. Lucy doubted the girl had ever had one pimple. She could admit she had always been a little bit jealous but she was comfortable enough in her own average appearance to not let it get to her. Anyway, Lucy was always under the impression the girl had WAY too much coffee. She was positive that Jessamine didn't really need the coffee she was giving her.

Jessamine had quickly been distracted by a different thought, straightening and clapping her hands together as she rose her voice, "I hope you guys all said hello to Lucy and made her feel welcome!"

Lucy could have groaned. The last thing she wanted was the attention on her. They looked at each other at first, exchanging glances Lucy couldn't quite catch. Heads tilted toward her as people leaned over the table to look at her. They all whispered things back and forth before mumbling greetings. She was able to pick up words despite their whispering. "Child" and "young" were two common words she heard.

Lucy looked around, feeling like a deer caught in headlights. "Umm... Hey." She could have slapped her forehead. Her voice had been as quiet as a church mouse. She had hoped to give a stronger tone and come off as someone as old and capable as they were. She down casted her gaze and shrunk into her chair, assuming that was the most recognition she was getting today.

"Welcome Lucy," A voice made her jump a little bit out of the chair. That was another thing about Lucy: she was super skittish. "I'm Liam, one of your brother's friends'." She turned her head to smile at Liam. He was a much more familiar face than all of them. He and Toby had been friends for years and she was used to his presence.

"Thank you. I remember you well." She told him and gave him a smile.

"Fake-friend," came a cough from Scarlett, making her glance over. What the hell was her problem? She wondered how Toby could date her.

"Aww how cute is she!?" Jessamine smiled, "What a little baby-face. Don't worry Lucy. Liam, Scarlett and I are basically your aunts and uncle since we're so close with your brother. We'll take good care of you." She put her arms around Liam upon hearing Scarlett, hugging him tight, "Liam is a total babe, Scarlett hush."

"Liam is a total babe, huh?"
Heads turned as Toby entered the room with a smirk on his face. He was dressed in a nice button down and jeans. He basically was dressed like the type of boy to bring home to your parents. His ice green eyes set on Liam, Scarlett and Jessamine. He came over hugging Jessamine from behind and by consequence of her position, Liam as well. "I see we're all talking about serious business here, mis amigos."

"It is very serious."Jessamine retorted, letting go of Liam and sitting down, "Liam's babe level has been put into question by... SOMEONE." She dramatically swiveled her body to accusingly and jokingly glare at Scarlett.

"Nah." Toby put his arms around Scarlett, resting his chin over her head, "She's also a total babe and wouldn't do something like that." Lucy grimaced. Did he not know his own girlfriend? This chick clearly would do that.

"I don't know Tobias... That kitty's got claws."Jessamine said with a giggle.

"Don't we all?"Toby replied and finally looked over at Lucy and smiled, "You having fun, sis?"
"More fun than being in Disney world."Lucy replied with a nervous smile. Toby knew she had been super nervous for her first day. She hadn't been acting like herself all morning.

"More fun than Disney world? Now that's too much fun."Toby let go of Scarlett and straightened. He turned to address the entire room. "Alright. Welcome Section 13. Liam and I are your section captains. Scarlett and Jessamine are guests. They are superior hunters who are here to help just as they did last year. Please treat them with respect because by no means do they have to be here. They are here of their own free will." Lucy wasn't used to Tobias being so serious and commanding. He acted so different when they were at home.

"I'm sure you're all aware of the superior infiltration situation we have. " He began walking around the table as he spoke. " A couple other sections already have plans devised but in my opinion they're all bunch of horse shit."

Lucy could tell there were a couple other newbies in the crowd because it seemed they weren't used to an authority figure out right cursing at them. If he hadn't been her brother, she would have been shocked.

"The reality of it is they're clearly a bunch of idiots. They're not making any effort to conceal themselves. However, I'm not saying we underestimate them and put our guard down. I'm suggesting the opposite and overestimate them in every way possible. Being stupid could sometimes be more dangerous than being smart. They're not going to sit down and plan out a whole attack. They're just gonna get bored and kill someone or attack a girl because one guy gets a desire to see under a girl's skirt. They're teenage boys. Keep that in mind. " He held Lucy's gaze warningly a moment before moving on. Lucy clenched her fists. Of course he wasn't going to ease up on her. He was going to be overprotective and treat her like a little kid like he always did.

"The other groups seem to be worried that they're devising a plan and they think they have a bit of time before these superior actually do anything..."He said with a dry laugh, "So they're all sitting in those rooms trying to figure out what is being planned."

Lucy wasn't sure she agreed with him. She had always thought taking a step back and trying to put herself in someone's else shoes before acting had been smart.

"You know the usual-'Oh maybe a couple of us could eavesdrop on them or sneak by Damien's camp and eavesdrop there'" He imitated the guardians with an eye-roll. "We all know what happens when a couple people try to eavesdrop by Damien's camp."He drew a line across his neck with his finger. "You'll soon get to know that I'm not afraid to disagree. I think immediate action is necessary. These guys are not afraid to do immediate damage and I guarantee something will happen within the first week. I have proposed to Aidan and some of the other elders that we take immediate action to get these people out of here. Everyone seems to think immediate action is not possible since it could pose a danger to the students. I say the longer we let these creeps stay here, the worse danger they potentially hold and the more damage will be done. I want to plan an immediate attack that involves many guardians overpowering them once they're all together in an area and minimize the amount of other people hurt at all costs. However, most people disagree with me so I'm going to open up the floor right now."

He loudly slammed his hands on the table, waking up a few people who nodded off. "Now I want to hear every single one of you open your mouth today-even the ...."He looked down at the sign-in sheet for a moment, pausing, "Even the five of you who are experiencing your first guardian meetings today. Don't think this is like a class room and you can hide from the teacher calling on you. You will all be giving your intake like it or not because even if you think it's shit it might end up being useful."

"How soon of an attack are you talking about?"Jessamine spoke up first. "A attack on them needs to be coordinated. I have written down each one of their powers. Aubrey will be a pain in the ass with her power negation. If she catches sight of us before we are able to get a good hit in on them, we're gonna be in trouble. Even with that, we don't know if she is constantly negating powers in a certain radius or if she only does it when she sees fit. This means we might have to be prepared for a situation where even if we outnumber, we will have dream manipulation against us. Mortimer can trigger a day dream and render someone completely useless. Ezra can chuck an entire train at us if he so wanted and Louis can actually just immobilize multiple people at once. Then Lindon has plant manipulation and this place is surrounded by a million god damn trees."

"I'm thinking within the week. I realize how powerful they are and that's why I think that's even more reason to get them the fuck out of here. They are obviously going to target Damien's kids and then the two princesses who are all just young kids with no idea what is coming at them. As students here, they have a right to feel safe and protected, not constantly predated on. "Tobias told her. "But now that you mention Aubrey we will probably have to take her out before any of them as fast as possible."

"You might do better with getting her alone,"Lucy interjected, "Then attacking her when she's in the group. If you get her alone there's less chance she's using power negation. They're probably expecting we might attack them when they're all together."

"Good point."Toby told her, "Thanks."

"Then by that point wouldn't we be better off attacking each of them alone?"Someone asked.
"There's no way we're getting find them all alone."Another disagreed. "Those guys are gonna stick together."
"We can find a way to lure one out from the others with maybe those girls right? Scarlett said Ezra ahd Louis had things for two of the girls- "
"No way! You can't just use people as bait. Plus if they were going to attack they don't split off alone, they always bring back-up."Jessamine retorted a bit angrily.
A couple people began heatedly arguing back and forth before finally someone shouted, "HEY!"

The table became silent as everyone looked at the speaker. Dalton was standing over Jessamine. He glared at them all before he finally pointed at the list. "My brother and his powers are on this list. "His voice was heavy with emotion. "Is he considered an enemy to you people? Are you going to attack him too ?" Some people looked at Jessamine for an answer. A lot of people seemed to be kept in the dark on this one.

"Dalton..."Jessamine began slowly then stopped. Silence filled the air. Toby looked at her in surprise as well.

"Not gonna tell me huh? "Dalton asked angrily. Lucy imagined fire brewing in his eyes he was so mad. "Well let me tell you something, miss Jessamine."He sneered her name with fury and mockery, " My brother is a student in trouble, not one to place on a list full of maniacs. I would all hope you guys feel the same in here, right Toby? " Lucy edged away from the table with fear. She was sure he was gonna flip the entire table over. She had thought he was scary before but now she was terrified of him.

"Sit down, Dalton."Toby said calmly as he organized some papers. "We have noted that Riley is hanging out with them. We're not sure why or how this situation ended up. We were actually hoping you could tell us but of course we will have him separated immediately and have someone also explain to him that they are not his fr-"

"Yeah you say that but what the fuck is this then?"Dalton took the paper, holding up. He shook it in Jessamine and Scarlett's faces, making Toby stand up in anger. "Written so nicely in pretty script is my brother's name. Oh look here. Next to his name it's noted: dangerous. Whatever your plans seemed to be, the superior hunters have a different one in their head and she has the fucking nerve to sit in silence instead of telling me why she wants to get rid of my brother."

"I didn't say get rid of him."Jessamine spoke finally. "He just might be dangerous and I think he's unsafe to keep in the school. There are a few rumors going around that they've done something to him and I don't want to take any chances-"

Dalton started to laugh without any humor, interrupting her. "Unsafe to keep in the school? Where do you fucking want to put him then?"He ripped the paper in half and stormed out furiously.

Violet

September 9th
8:05am

The girl with the pretty bow in the back of her hair sat in the back in a black dress with a peter-pan collar. Her thick hair fell down her back and around her shoulders, seeming to outweigh her tiny frame. Her hands were neatly folded on the table. Hazel eyes framed by heavy lashes were fixated forward, irises darting back and forth every so often. Finally they locked on the girl with the braid over her shoulder. "That's one... Now where's the other?"She muttered under her breath. She knew the girl's name was Holly and already knew her quite well. Holly was already enrolled in school and was sure she'd get a hold of the whole building-team-work-skills-thing. The only thing standing in her way was the bullying. The other one... That was another story.

The loud chatter all suddenly stopped and Violet immediately knew why without glancing over. Angel had finally arrived and was looming in the doorway, looking back and forth over the crowd. She seemed confused to why everyone had stopped talking. It wasn't hard for anyone looking at her to imagine why. She stuck out like a sore thumb with her rare shade of red hair and eyes so blue they seemed to glow.
People would have noticed someone like that before so it was obvious she was new here.

An annoyed look crossed Angel's face and she hastily moved over to an empty table. She rushed to take out her phone and bury her face in it. Violet honestly had no idea how to get someone like her to socialize with people. They all had continued glancing at her, mumbling inquiries to each other but no one dared approach after the face she had just made at everyone.

"What am I going to do with her?"Violet groaned and rubbed her temples.

Angel

September 9th
8:00am

Angel quickly scrambled to her feet upon seeing her attacker. She had been hoping at least this school thing would be a break from her crazy vampire-infested life. First day of school and a vampire she hadn't seen in around four to five years was trying to start trouble. The shock of seeing her again was mind-numbing. She couldn't even figure out what to say or how to react.

The woman was tall and thin with shoulder-length black hair. She resembled one of those models seen on runways shows in places in France. She could be described as striking more often than beautiful. There was something cold and hard about her face. She had called herself Nadia and did a lot of Lee's dirty work for him. She and Amelia had joked about her being Lee's bitch at the time. She couldn't help but wonder if Lee had told her to come here today. Maybe her attacks were starting to get around to him finally.

Nadia had looked her up and down critically, before finally meeting her eyes with a malicious grin. "It's almost as if it was just yesterday you were just a scared little girl with an attitude problem. " Nadia tilted her head, smiling wider when Angel scowled at her. "Funny how people don't change, huh?" Her voice was as full of venom as when she had just met the woman. She moved down the steps after she had finished speaking, brushing past Angel roughly.

"Sleep with both eyes open." Nadia had whispered quickly in her ear.

Angel turned around to snap back at her but she was no where to be seen. "Oh fuck you."She muttered anyway. She glared in the direction for a moment longer before making a second trip up the stairs and into the school. Some teacher immediately told her that all the students were meeting in the cafeteria for an assembly that would take place in fifteen minutes and she went off in that direction.

Zane

September 9th
12:02am

"You're dead, Zane Daddario, you do realize that?"

Micah's voice rang out through the foyer as Zane paused in the entrance. The blonde boy turned to glance at Zane, possibly to read his expression. Zane wasn't sure what he must have looked like at the moment. He couldn't process the sentence correctly. He glanced at Kate before following him into a gigantic dining room. The glass table was the longest table he had ever seen with enough chairs to seat at least 20 people.

The blonde sat at the front of table and gestured to a pair of seats nearby him. "Please, sit. Let's discuss over dinner. I hope you both like spaghetti."

Zane reluctantly took a seat, looking around the room in wonder at all the paintings. "Do you live here by yourself?" It didn't make sense for a guy to live in a house this big just on his own.

Micah shook his head in reply, "No. I house several other young vampires. Those without a clan often don't last long so they come to me for protection... You must know of the existence of vampires, yes? Your girlfriend here is one after all."

When Zane didn't reply, Micah continued, "You will stop aging within the next two years or so and forever live young. You must feed on blood every few days. If not, you'll slowly lose your mind so to speak. Pay no mind to the little folk talks about garlic and not going in the day light. Your body will function normally and you can digest normal food just like humans as long as you keep a healthy amount of blood in your diet-"

"How did I end up this way? How could I digest anything if I'm dead-"Zane began to speak. The more Micah spoke, the more Zane started to feel his anger rise.

"You're not dead, dead, I suppose. You are alive and sitting here. However, I did kill you."
Micah told him nonchalantly as a suited man came in with two covered trays. He set one in front of Kate and another in front of Zane. He uncovered them to show two plates of spaghetti with what looked like marinara sauce. However, Zane knew by the smell that something else was in there. Unbeknownst to him, his eyes reddened. His throat began to burn at the scent.

"I would apologize but I'm not exactly sorry. It works the same way as humans have to murder cows and pigs for food. I need blood to survive. It's nothing personal. "Micah explained, "Do enjoy the meal. It's a bit easier to drink blood when it looks like something more familiar so I thought this would be easier for you."

Zane swallowed hard and spoke out softly. "... Kate... Kate doesn't kill anyone."

"Kate doesn't have a lot of people to protect. Living off animal blood makes for a weaker vampire. Human blood keeps us at our strongest."

"This is human blood... from someone you KILLED?"Zane asked. He scooted his chair back in disgust. "I can't drink from some innocent person-"

"Suicide."Micah interrupted, "Found him fresh. He didn't have any family left. I try to minimize my killings but I do have a lot of persons to feed so it doesn't always work that way. "

Zane turned to stare at Kate with wide eyes.
Rose

"My slippers are in my room by my bed."Rose told Persephone as she sat down to eat. She smiled at Xavier when he complimented her and made her a plate. She then laughed at his next comment, "Yeah you kinda need a little bit of guidance."She patted his back gently. "Sorry." She looked down at her food and bit her lip. It was so hard to find an appetite lately. She took her eyes off the food and began eating reluctantly. After finally finishing, she got up and went to the window. She had spotted the teens peeking through the fence at them. She smirked a little. Once upon a time, that probably would have been her too.

She felt a little wild so she opened the window and waved to them, letting them know she saw them. She giggled to herself. They were probably embarrassed to be caught spying but it was funny to her all the same. The two girls who had been giggling and whispering to each other suddenly ducked behind the fence and she burst out laughing. She looked back over her shoulder at Xavier as she leaned on the counter. "Xavier those girls totally like you."

Hunter
Marcy was so cute when she sang. Hunter loved her. He laughed as she sang but kept his focus on the road. It was hard to when someone so beautiful and adorable was sitting next to him.

"Sorry I'm done I swear." He had heard that one so many times. He knew she would start singing as soon as the next song came on.

"No keep singing!"Hunter insisted, "You're so cute I'm gonna pinch your cheeks like my annoying grandma does to us."

He drove up to an intersection and stopped at the stoplight. They were almost to the Salvatore house. It was right on the corner. However, there was a car across the street that had come to the intersection as well. As soon as Hunter went to go, thinking he had the right of way, the driver accelerated straight into theirs. Hunter didn't even have any time to scream before all went black.

Micah

September 8th
11:48pm

There was no surprise awaiting Micah as he made his way after what was supposed to be his dinner. The boy's scent was easy enough to track. He couldn't help but feel responsibility for him. After all, it was his fault he was in this predicament. He owed it to him to save his life.

Most new-born vampires are ravenous for blood and run through the streets wildly, killing whoever despite the morals they had not too long before. Their emotions and their senses are heightened to an unbelievable amount for the first few days before finally settling down. Even with the torrential downpour, Micah was able to see the street before him clearly as silhouettes ran all over the place. There was definitely more than one clan about tonight and many bodies would be left in the morning. Contrary to one might believe, there was not a scream to be heard. Vampires usually put their prey in a dazed trance before killing them.

Micah rounded a corner sharply as a female voice reached his ears.
"I'll rip your throat out regardless of who you are. I don't give a damn. I won't let you hurt this boy."

He stayed in the shadows as the scene continued to play out. There was a girl that reminded Micah of a little pixie with her short red hair. She was quite beautiful actually. It was easy to tell she was not a weak vampire but he was not so sure she could stand up to numerous vampires. She was standing in front of his previous prey: Zane Daddario. He was nineteen and went to Riverbury University. He had learned this after examining Zane's wallet on the night he had killed him. The woman she was yelling at was not a super old vampire but she was clearly stronger than the lot of them.

Instead of replying to the girl, the woman had started to cackle like a witch. Others began to emerge, climbing down the roofs of buildings and from the area behind the woman. There was more than ten and they were all quickly closing in on the couple. He watched Zane clutch the pixie girl to his body as if that would protect her. He shook his head with a sigh. How very lucky these two were that he was here or else they'd both be getting a visit from the grim reaper himself. Quite casually, he made his way in front of the two and raised his hand. "Micah Darling here. "He greeted them with a smile. His blue eyes set upon the dead body on the ground. "I thought we were all clear that your clan couldn't hunt in my territory." Micah had recognized the woman's scent now. She was a past offender, always going into areas and mass-killing, leaving bodies everywhere for the humans to ponder over. It was quite sloppy in Micah's opinion.

"Micah Darling,"She mimicked, glaring at him with bright red eyes. "What the fuck are you going do about if we do? We can hunt wherever we want."

"I can do a lot of things and you know very well you can't lay a hand on me without problems from the Queen herself."Micah said and smiled again, "I am very sorry, Henrietta, but I am going to have to ask you to leave."

The woman glared at him, baring her fangs in reply. The clan began to move in on them. A small girl, no older than 13, dropped down from the roof behind them and did a small flip over Micah in front of him. A few other young people began hopping from other roofs of buildings, 2 young women dressed in maid outfits, a few men, and a couple of young teens. "Must I ask again?"Micah asked politely. "It would be a shame to kill your entire clan."

"Attack!"She yelled in reply and her people ran at them only to be slaughtered so fast it was probably impossible for a human to make it out. The small thirteen year old was a vicious little thing, ripping limbs off in a few seconds. Micah watched, pleased with his work. They all returned to Micah's side when the floor had become a mess of red puddles and unmoving bodies. The rain had become a gentle drizzle now, leaving the air in silence. "Now, Henreitta,"Micah said gently, "Was that really necessary?" He tsked, feigning sympathy. The woman was staring with horror and fury.

"Now a lesson if I may."Micah moved forward, "Caroline, the gasoline please." One of the maids moved forward with a can and began covering the bodies in gasoline, keeping a coherent river so that only one match would be needed. He lit a match and tossed onto a body, which quickly blew up into raging flames that crawled onto the other bodies with increasing speed. "This is how you clean up a mess." He watched the bodies burn for a moment and turned to Zane and his girlfriend. He had drawn her even closer if possible and was trembling with terror.

"I am dreadfully sorry for this mess. Clearly there are a lot of vampires out of line lately."Micah explained. "I am going to have to take you two back to my home for the night. There are other clans out tonight and it is quite unsafe for a newborn such as Zane." Zane stared at him with wide, dilated eyes. He was silent then he said reluctantly, "Will there be something I can eat?"

Micah looked at him in amusement as Zane was continued, "I don't know what's wrong with me. The only thing that smelled good to me was some dead body and I couldn't-" Micah decided to cut him off right there, stating, "Zane you know very well what happened to you. It's not wrong, however. I will feed you and explain everything, please follow right this way... And everyone, thank you for your aid tonight. You were all marvelous."

"No problem, sir!" "Of course!" "Anything for you!"
Micah loved his family so much. Of course, most of them were not his blood-related family. The only ones here that he knew since young were the two maids who had perished with him that he had managed to revive into vampires. The others were rescues, which were much like Zane.

However, Micah had never saved someone he had originally intended to use as food. He began moving back towards his home, entrusting the others to make sure Zane and the girl followed along.

Angel

September 9th
7:42am

The girl with the dark red hair stood with a bandaged hand pressed against the cheap, full length mirror that leaned wobbly up against the wall of her bedroom. Her hair was a tangled mess that was as dark and red as blood, tickling just under her breasts. A mirror image of the girl had her hand pressed against hers too, both pairs of vivid blue eyes critically roaming from one feature of her body to the next. The blinds over the nearby window created a striped pattern of brilliant morning light against her pale, freckled face. It was the only illumination in the room. If Angel were to side-step, she'd be cast in darkness. She could thank Evan for that. He had yet to pay the electricity bill. Nonetheless, the warm glow of light was comforting this cool September morning. She ran her trembling fingers over the dark purple splashes over her abdomen, her gaze fixated on the reflection.

Sometimes, the last few years felt like a dream to Angel. She always felt like one morning she was going to wake up and see a small, pale child looking back at her with her messy red mane falling over her premature body. However, she would never see that child again. Instead, the girl looking back at her was almost done blossoming into a young woman. She had cut her hair often since then. It was reaching longer lengths again this year, reaching past her chest. Her face had matured and lost some of its innocence, her eyes reflecting the pain of her past to those who looked close enough. She ran her hands over her breasts and then over her hips as if they were something new. She really would be a full-fledged adult soon.

Angel sure did not feel like one. She had lived with very minimal adult guidance and absolutely no schooling since around 11 or 12 years old. She knew nothing outside of how to torture and kill other beings. Hell, Angel couldn't even cook a proper grilled cheese. How was she supposed to be considered an adult? She knew that with adulthood came less flexibility and less forgiveness. Being an adult meant you had to have all your shit together all the time or else you'd fall behind in the routine of life.

In reality, she still felt like the scared, lost little girl that had been found in the woods. She was not sure she had ever really moved on from that point other than becoming numb and receiving a different purpose. But Angel knew she wasn't a little girl. The obnoxious aching under the purple bruises over her abdomen was a harsh reminder her of the person she was now.

One could tell quite quickly that despite her lack of experience with much anything, she had seen things most adults don't even see. The shadow of her past would always loom over her, never letting her make her way into the light that everyone around her resided in. Smiling faces would pass her everywhere she went and she wasn't sure she'd ever be able to fall in step with other people again. Those people were loved and reminded that they were loved every day. She'd watch parents shower children with hugs and kisses when she passed the park without a care in the world. Couples would cuddle on benches, the girl often wrapped up in the boy's arms while she laid on his shoulder with a content smile, her eyes shut as she daydreamed of their wedding one day.

But they didn't know. They didn't know how evil love actually was.
The amount of pain that would wash over a person like a tidal wave, surrounding them in black, opaque water for what would feel like an eternity when suddenly the people they had loved so much were yanked away from their grasp. Forever. Knowing in that moment that as the two of you stared into each other's eyes, it would be the last time. Had that girl in the park ever wondered what it would be like if the boy suddenly just ceased existing? Her guess was probably not. It seemed to Angel that most other people didn't have everything torn away from her like she did. Sometimes the unfairness of it all got to her and she just wanted to scream and cry like a spoiled child.

Then she would remember what she had promised herself and contain the emotions. Long ago, Angel had promised herself she would never fall for the trap of love again. She never wanted to feel the heavy pain of loss that would weigh her down to her bed for days ever again. She couldn't handle more faces in her nightmares. It was already crowded.

Being alone was easier and being in the army so far had made being alone easy. Submerging oneself into constant training did not require the aid of others. However, Evan still forced her to train under a young man named Nikolaus's guidance. Angel didn't like being with him but if she just did what she was told it never ended up being a long ordeal. It was nothing personal but she knew she had to be very careful to distant herself from him especially since he was probably the most beautiful person she had ever seen. It took a lot of self-control not to fall for him.

He would often make an appearance in her dreams sometimes, giving her a commercial break to the nonstop horror that plagued her dreams. It was always the same, the two of them cuddling just the way she had seen the couples at the park. It didn't help that was he was so nice to her and when he fought, it was like watching a Greek God or something. It was hard not to admire the guy.

Nevertheless, Angel had been pretty good with distancing herself up to this point. She had very minimal human contact besides those training sessions and the few nights Evan actually lived in his own house. But now, she was going to an actual school. She swore she was gonna just walk up to Evan one day and give him a good kick in the shin for making her do this. She hadn't been to a school in years and now she was supposed to just show up and blend in? It was impossible. She had wandered from the mirror without much attention to what she was doing to her closet, where she searched endlessly for something to wear. If she wore something too nice, people might want to be her friend but then something too ugly would draw some sort of bully's attention and she'd end up in a fight then get in trouble with Evan for it.

Finally, she settled on a black tank top and some plain jean shorts. The shirt was a bit tight and she wasn't sure if spaghetti straps were against the dress code, but she wasn't so sure she cared. Whoever said anything could go screw themselves. She shoved her feet in some sneakers, making her way out of her room into the dark bathroom. After freshening up and putting a bit of red lipstick on, she made her way out the door with a piece of toast in her mouth and light backpack slung over one shoulder.

It was a short walk up until the school and judging from the lack of people hanging around outside, she was probably late. With a tight grip on her backpack, she stared at the high school before her. "I can't believe I'm doing this."She said under her breath. It took her a few moments to build up enough motivation to make herself move forward but she did. She made her way up the stairs and opened the heavy wood door only to be shoved backward with enough force to make her fall down the stairs onto her back on the concrete. Renewed pain jolted up her back but she knew it hadn't been a hard enough push to really cause any extreme damage. With a groan, she settled her body up on her scraped, stinging palms and glared upward at the face of her attacker. It was the last person she ever expected to see again.

Alcina

__________________________________________________________________________

Alcina had hastily taken Ariana to a completely different area. She made an effort to stay silent until they were far enough away. "Hey uh I'm sorry to take you away from Riley and all but who are all those boys?"She began softly, "I don't recognize any of them and the way Alex reacted makes me feel like they could be big trouble. I wouldn't suggest hanging out with them until we all get to talk to Riley about it if that's okay. I saw even James and Jason tense up at the sight of them and I'm getting such a bad feeling." Alcina knew she started to ramble a bit when nervous. She took a deep breath and gave Ariana room to reply.

This whole year was giving her bad vibes. She couldn't shake the feeling that everything was going to go really wrong. She glanced back over at James. The boy didn't even want Rose to look at the group it seemed. She tilted her head. No that wasn't it. He didn't want them to see her. That many new students was entirely possible but what were the odds they were all friends the moment they came here? Granted, James seemed to get stressed out easily, however, she had never seen him like this. Each boy had oversized, defined muscles that seemed to be bursting out of the sleeves of their shirts. Not to mention, a lot of them were really tall. She considered steroids as a possibility but it could have been a number of different things as well. If they were this physically adept, who knew what kind of abilities they had?

"Look at him, Ri... He's shielding Rose and Emma from them. Something isn't right and you know it. Alex is like a big teddy bear that would never hurt anyone. Why would he grab Riley like that if it wasn't really serious? You gotta give them some space and convince Riley to do the same. How about you and I go check out our dorm together?"

Alex

__________________________________________________________________________
When Alex returned, one of Shay's friends Mike was there. He usually didn't like the guy all too much because he and Shay got a bit close sometimes but he appreciated his presence right now. He seemed to have led her a bit away from the creeps and was making sure nothing happened to her. From the look he gave him, he knew even Mike could realize they were with weirdos.

Mike nodded to her. "I'll be on my way and I'll see you in class. And if I don't, I'll find you, and drag your ass there, AP buddy." Then Mike left to a bit of Alex's relief. He wanted to talk to Shay alone.

That fucking Louis bastard was thinking about Shay's butt. He moved in front of her protectively and fiercely glared at him, only to get a malicious grin in return. A number of thoughts crossed his mind, including how many ways he could get away with a murder. Maybe he could kill him in his sleep and bury him in the forest deep somewhere where everyone would just assume he was another missing kid. He was pretty sure no one would even care.

What happened, Alex? Can you tell me please? And can we move away? They're so weird...
Shay's voice in his head broke him out of his reverie and he looked down at her pretty face, instantly relaxing a bit. He nodded and tightened his grip on her hand, now just realizing she had taken his. He began leading her away as began to speak them. "Don't even speak to them."He said through gritted teeth as he moved her away.

Alex stopped walking over they had gotten inside. He sat down on a couch and took a deep breath. He had never felt anger like that in his whole life. It felt like he had been possessed by someone else. He had never actually wanted to hurt someone let alone kill them. "Sweetie, are you okay?" He tilted his head to look at Shay as her beautiful, soothing voice reached his ears. She had the voice of an angel. With the wings and her beauty, she had to have been one. It all added up. How did she end up with a kook like him? The idea of that Louis getting anywhere near his Angel made him so sick inside. Anger started to fill him again and he clenched his fists. He vowed to never let anyone hurt her. After a long, deep breath, he managed a small smile. "I love you, beautiful. I'll be fine. I'm just not used to getting so mad I guess. " Alex replied, putting his arm around her. "That guy was just the creepiest dude I've ever had to listen to. I feel violated even having to hear his thoughts." He shuddered, "Stay far away from all of them okay? Promise me."

His gaze fell on the teachers that were beckoning people into the auditorium. "Ugh. Kill me now."He groaned, getting up. "I hate these stupid lectures. They say the same dumb boring shit." He let Shay guide him anyway. He'd probably just play a game on his phone or something. There was no way he could pay attention to this after all that.

Louis

__________________________________________________________________________

Louis smiled and waved to Shay, "Goodbye. See you soon, Shay."
He loved this so much. That Alexander was so MAD. He had heard he was a mind-reader and couldn't help himself to trolling the kid. Plus, the thoughts were true anyway. He would have loved to shove Shay against a bed and give her such a good time she couldn't walk the next day. He had thought it in his heads with other wording that had been much more dirty. Louis had been hoping Alex would have turned on him to fight him so he could have had an excuse to beat the brat to death. Damien had insisted on them trying to fit in with the crowd but he was fairly sure if one teen started a fight with him, he couldn't be blamed.

"You're an idiot, you know that?"Lindon asked Louis. "You're going to blow our fucking cover if you keep sharing your pornographic thoughts with Alex. "

"Tcch."Louis rolled his eyes, " He doesn't even know the superior exist. I was just messing around.

"Yeah, well QUIT it."Lindon snapped, making Louis turn to glare at him. "Damien is going to have us all tortured."

Louis hated when Lindon got on this whole goody-two-shoes act. The little fucker always kissed up to Damien. He wasn't having it. He had come here to have fun. Rounding on Lindon, he moved closer and grabbed his shoulders roughly. "Lindon shut the fuck up before I snap your fat neck. You've seen me lift entire trucks now imagine what I could to do to you? Yeah maybe I'd get in some trouble with Damien for it but oh wow would it be worth it to shut your big mouth forever." The sound of silence that followed was amazing.

"I assume you all know now that Shay is mine."He told them, pacing around. "None of you are to touch her without my permission. As for Riley, he's still one of them. It's going to take time until he's finally one of us so you're going to have to deal with the peppy little shit for now."

As if on cue, Riley came running back over. Louis bit back laughter. He looked such an idiot. He stopped before them and looked at Louis. "Hey Louis can you not think creepy shit about my friends please? It really offends them."

Louis looked down at him. What a shrimp puff. He was so much shorter than him. "Oh did I? I am SO sorry, Riley. I never meant to offend anyone. I will be much more careful now."

Riley smiled, "Thanks, man!"

"Hey! Anything for my new best friend!"Louis wrapped an arm around him. He glanced at Ezra and Mortimer, biting back laughter.

Jason

__________________________________________________________________________

Jason wondered if James knew Rose was the cat that curiosity killed in the phrase. If no one would tell her something, she'd go find it out. He went to her side, knowing it would probably annoy James a little but it was worth it. Rose deserved some sort of answer instead of being left in the dark. It might clue her off to the superior existing but he didn't care. She was one of his long-time best friends and he was not going to lose her because she was under-informed.

"Look, Rosie,"He began lowly. "James and I have come across those guys in the past and they are completely insane. I am not over-exaggerating. They are the type of guys you see going to prison on the news for rape except these guys never get caught. If you go near them, they will hurt you and try to take your clothes off. I know you're a boss ass bitch as you claim but even you aren't a match for them. I probably can't even fight all of them either. You will get overwhelmed. They always have backup if one of them approaches you. They will take advantage of you being short. One of them can disable your powers if you are in a certain radius of him and the tall steroids looking motherfucker has super strength. I am warning you from now-Do. not. fuck. with. them."

Rose stared up at him with wide, green eyes. She looked so innocent with her baby-face and small body stature. It was the type of face that would get attention. When the superior see something innocent and pure, they will definitely try to ruin it. She had to be kept away from them. "Holy doritos... Where did you guys find people like that? Prison?" He couldn't help but almost laugh. She had voiced last year that she had been trying to curse less and as a result, a range of strange phrases had been coming out of her mouth.

"Believe it or not, I have yet to be imprisoned. I am too good-looking for prison. "Jason said to her, "I've just crossed them during my little adventures."

"Ah, yes. Your little journeys to the center of the earth." Rose said sarcastically. "You must be talking about the little adventures where you disappear for days and come back out of no where. You should tell James all about how you do that. He'd love it."

Jason ruffled her hair, "He knows all about them, silly goose. Now promise you won't go near the psychopaths, please?"

Rose saluted him, "Yes sir! I promise!" He sighed. It was hard to tell when Rose was being serious. She was always cheerful and throwing jokes into everything. Then again, it might have been his fault since it had turned into a more light-hearted conversation. He and Rose were always joking around with Shay. The three of them might as well be called the three stooges.

"I'm holding you to that missy."Jason said sternly.

She nodded, "I'm being serious I just don't want to let them to ruin my mood you know?"
Her attention was suddenly taken by the teachers ushering people into the auditorium. "Oh my God not an assembly."She whispered in horror and got on her knees. She hugged James legs, "You can't make me go in there! Pleeeasseee noooooo!"

Jason followed her gaze and grimaced, "Oh hell to the no I'm ditching that bullshit. You two in?"

"YES. Let's ditch and go find where the good food at before everyone else."Rose said, not letting go of James legs. "FOOOoooooOOOOd!"

Dalton

__________________________________________________________________________

Dalton leaned against the window, eyes set on his brother most of the time. What the hell was Riley doing with all those superior? He had been ordered not to act on it and was beginning to despise himself for listening. Why didn't he just go out there and yell at Riley? He glanced back at the meeting. Scarlett was writing possible future plans while the rest of them were running out of patience for her attitude. On the contrary, Dalton was quite amused with her as always. He enjoyed her attitude. It was the only entertaining thing out of these boring meetings. He was sure they would stop as soon as Tobias walked in. Toby and Liam were the younger group leaders while the older ones like Aidan had separate meetings and only meshed all the groups together during emergencies. Everyone knew messing with Toby's girlfriend while he was in the room as a desire for death.

He glanced over at the new girl, Lucy. She was in a corner spinny chair, twisting back and forth on her heel. She had brown hair that came just past her shoulders, back in a headband. She was wearing a lightweight cardigan over a tank top and jean skirt. She stood out like a sore thumb amongst everyone, looking obviously unexperienced and even appeared a bit too young to be here. She looked like she belonged down with the rest of the students. She had her head down like a kid in a classroom trying their best not to be called on by the teacher. He had known her back in the day when he was still a student. She was a sweet girl but she was bit too peppy for his taste in friends. He wondered if she was ever going to say something today. He had been here a few years now and he barely said a word unless he felt his input was necessary.

"Who wants some donuts!?"
Dalton did not need to look over to know Jessamine was here. She came in with a big box of donuts and a couple coffees in a coffee traveler, her long curly ponytail swaying behind her as she beamed at everyone as if they were her favorite people in the world. She always had a certain type of charisma he could not quite comprehend. He could not find it in himself to hate her despite his distaste for super peppy people. There were a phew sighs of relief as it had been sort of awkwardly quiet and tense. She began handing out coffee as people began hungrily opening up the box of donuts once it had been set on the table.

Jessamine sat down next to Scarlett with a huff of exhaustion. He leaned her head on her shoulder, glancing at what she was writing. "I brought you your favorite latte. You're welcome." Jessamine was probably one of the only people he had seen Scarlett be nice to. Usually the two acted like the good cop, bad cop kind of friends. Scarlett would scare everyone and Jessamine would be sickeningly sweet to them. It was actually quite efficient. She glanced over in Lucy's direction, "Oh no I forgot we had a new guardian this year. Here you can have my coffee if you want honey-" She began and then stood up, completely distracted by a different thought, "I hope you guys all said hello to Lucy and made her feel welcome!"

A couple of them looked at each other in confusion. They hadn't even noticed Lucy there since she had been so quiet. Lucy looked up like an animal caught in headlights, "Umm... Hey." She said quietly.

I'm interested in joining!
Lee

Lee fixed his collar as he stood before a glass window. Beside him was a woman with a clipboard and the President. Rhythmic flashes of light reflected upon their faces from within the next room shown before them. Dressed in a suit as nice as the President's, Lee stared inside without moving for a good while. A girl with pale skin was hugging her knees to herself, face hidden in the knee caps. Medium-length lavender hair fell past her shoulders and shrouded her face.

"Ruby Darling... Seventeen years old. 5'7", 120 pounds... Rare genetic phenotypes of natural purple hair and eyes, possibly due to her unusual radioactive properties causing DNA mutations." The woman with the clipboard read aloud, "Entire family spontaneously inflicted with cancer same time her radioactive properties became active. Parents and siblings now currently deceased. Darling is unaware of her direct effect and it has been suggested due to the correlation with her emotions rising and the radioactivity that she is not informed."

Lee turned to lock eyes with the President, who looked stunned and at a lost of words. "If you approve of our company officially, we can proceed to make this country safer."

He shook his head in reply, "We have an approved organization that works in providing aid to these people. Yours isn't-"

"Ours is different with all due respect, sir. I respect the peaceful way of their organization that helps to teach people to control it as they research a cure or whatnot but what about the creatures like this one?"Lee interrupted, "There are those like her who will cause death wherever they go. We will do the dirty job that no one else wants to... But sir it needs to be done for the good of America. We will capture them and safely analyze them to find out to what extent danger they are to others around them and to what extent they can control their power. From there, we will take the necessary course of action. Those who can control their power and are no danger will be let free or given the option to aid our cause."

The President bit his lip finally and looked at him, "What are you going to do to this girl?"

"There is no possible way she can be let out. All attempts to help her will result in death to anyone who touches her. She must be deposed of unfortunately with your approval. There is no one in the world to miss her. Everyone she knows is dead."

He was silent a moment then finally he nodded. Lee pressed a button and the room began to fill with thick smoke. The lights kept flashing.
The President looked away while Lee stared without flinching. When the smoke finally cleared, the girl was gone.

"What?" Lee looked around in shock and finally slammed his fist down on a button. An alarm began blaring through the halls. Red lights flashed on and off, lighting up their flabbergasted expressions. The alarm was an ear-splitting wail. It rose to peak and then ebbed and rose to a peak again, undulating like a wave. The sound of many footsteps could dimly be heard under the alarm.

"There's no where for her to run."Lee assured the President, turning to chew his lip. He wasn't one hundred percent on that one.

Rose

"Just go inside. I'll get it right away for you. Make sure Seph isn't doing anything she shouldn't be, alright?"

"Gotcha. Thanks."Rose got to her feet and rushed inside. She looked in the spot Persephone had been in, panic settling in her stomach when she realized she no longer resided in that particular place. "Seph!"She called and looked around. The sound of running water made her gaze up the stairs. She hurried up and peeked in the bathroom silently. She could see the top of her head over the edge of the tub.

Persephone was probably having a bit of a freak-out much like the one Rose had just had. She could understand why Persephone was probably sitting in the tub like that. She had done the same multiple times. She shut the door without a sound and came back down to find the boxes of food by the kitchen. She rummaged through it to find some suitable things and quickly began preparing lunch. She heard Xavier making his way down the stairs and called to him, "She's in the shower!" Rose was pretty sure he knew that since the sound of running water was the only thing breaking the silence in the house.

She was just about finished with the food when Persephone scampered in like a kitten that had just been startled. Rose swallowed. Every time she saw Persephone and saw those scars... All she could see was that horrible man slashing up her sister right before her eyes. She quickly looked down to keep herself from staring off and letting her mind go back to nightmare land.

"H-h-hey. It smells good." The smile she gave her made Rose want to cry. It was completely devoid of any happiness. How long were they going to feel like this?

Rose glanced back up at her, "Oh yeah? I bet you must be pretty hungry. It was a long ride. "
She set Persephone's portion on a plate and gently set it in front of her with a glass of lemonade. "Aw look it's your bunny slippers."Rose managed a genuine smile. "I missed seeing those cute little things. Are they still warm and cozy?"
Rosaline

Rosaline sat on the steps of the house, green eyes brimming with tears and small, clenched fists trembling as she rested them on her bare knees. She focused on the sound of the birds chirping and the sight of the clear blue sky. The sun was beaming down on everything, bathing them all in bright sunshine. It was a really nice day. The moving truck would be here soon with all their things. The two men would help them move everything in but it was going to take awhile. This would be a long day. Maybe she could go make some lemonade and snacks for everyone to help out. Xavier would probably appreciate some help. She wanted him to feel like living here would be a team effort between the three of them and the weight wasn't all on his shoulders. However, these days, it really seemed like he felt that way. She let out a shuddering exhale as she found herself a bit calmed down. Once she submerged herself in other thoughts, the flashbacks tended to go away and she could relax a bit. However, they were starting to happen way more frequently now.

She had further immersed herself into tying the shoelaces of her pink converse when Xavier's voice calling her name slightly startled her despite its softness. She immediately froze in her actions. His voice seemed to silence all other sounds in the environment. The suddenness sent shivers down her spine. Rose couldn't quite put her finger on why this happened. She exhaled once again and looked over her shoulder as Xavier loomed in the doorway. He looked so distressed that his worry was contagious.

"Rose, honey, what's wrong? Don't lie to me, either, please."

Yikes. She should have known he could see right through her. She had no choice but to evade the truth as she had been doing the past few weeks. She smiled as she always did when he said things like this. Faking smiles never worked really around him so she usually thought of a genuine reason to smile and it made it easy to just let it occur. She had thought of how her friends promised to come visit her in their new home and a bit of excitement had filled her, fueling the smile. "No worries bro I'm alright. Like I said, I just felt a bit car sick. "

Rosaline turned her head back to look at the ground for a moment before getting to her feet. "I just had the great idea of preparing some food. I'm going to go get some out of the car and make some snacks and lemonade in the kitchen. You should show Persephone around the house."

Jason

Jason peered through the windows of his home as the sound of music dimly reverberated from his backyard. Some people were moving in across the street from him. In a small town such as theirs, word got around fast. Everyone had known they were coming. Two pretty blondes came out of the car along with a tall, Abercrombie-model dark-haired dude. He wondered where their parents were. He watched them all go inside for a moment before turning away from the window. "James! We got new neighbors!"He called as he picked up a tray. The tray had a few large glasses of cold punch on it.

He made his way to the backyard where Jessamine and Isabelle were laying out on lawn chairs in their bathing suits. "Ladies."He greeted, setting the drinks on the table between them.

Isabelle sat up, lowering her sunglasses, her long dark hair following her movement. " Did you say the new people are here?"

"Yeah so what's the sitch? Hot guys or what?"Jessamine chimed in, sitting up as well. Her curly blonde hair was in a ponytail.

"There was a little girl, a gorgeous older sister and a tall brother." Jason described to them. "The tall brother looked like some kind of model from Abercrombie or whatever."

Jessamine and Isabelle exchanged glances before running to the gate of the fence. They both opened it and began peeking their heads through. "There's the little girl..." Isabelle whispered, pointing at the young blonde on the steps.

Jason joined, peering over their heads. "You guys are such stalkers." He told them with a laugh.

The door opened and the tall boy came out and Jessamine and Isabelle gasped. "Oh my God he's so beautiful."Jessamine whispered, struggling not to squeal.

"Based God."Isabelle said in admiration. "He's just your type, Jessie... Oh my God wait until Marcy sees."

"Hunter said he's coming over so I'm sure Marcy will be joining."Jason told them.

"She's going to die when she sees him oh my God."Isabelle giggled.
