Unit Appearance
A successor unit to the popular Scutson, Sharp Workshops has slimmed out their previous design and added sharper edges and coverings to the unit. With the appearance of a stout man, it features a small head section with a monoeye sensor for the unit's various work. Adding to the new appearance, the unit features interchangeability with its limbs and various hard points to personalize the unit's appearance with industrial arms, legs and more. It also features a compact mode for easy storage and transportation.

Accommodation: The unit features a 270 degree panoramic visual screen for the pilot, with supplementary screens accounting for aft viewing. Much like the previous model, this unit retains its ejectable cockpit section.

Equipment and Design Features: •Head While not new compared to mobile suits and the COOL-Te, the head of the Scutson II is a revolutionary feature to Sharp Workshop's line of mobile workers. It features a single monoeye system for urban and zero-g environments.
•Modularity Taking inspiration from the in-house mobile worker of Sharp Workshop, the model-8 features easily removable limbs and customizable sections for better and more efficient work for different industries. From limbs to lifting arms to heavy industrial equipment, or lower level treads and wheels for warehouse work. Each limb also folds up easily when removed limiting storage space when not in use.
•Antenna Seeking to improve communication, Sharp attached a larger antenna array to break through the wilberforce interference experienced during congested work evnvironments.
•Tool Storage The mobile worker contains six different compartments for tool storage, one large section on each leg, and two on each arm allowing it to store human and mobile suit equipment.
•Hardpointsx6 Six hardpoints allow for additional tool, sub arms or cargo storage, one on each leg, arm and two on the rear back of the unit.
Weapons and Combat Capabilities
Handheld Armaments
•Multi-Element Applicator Taking notice of Raj Factory's COOL-TE's sprayer, Sharp quickly adapted one of their firefighting spray applicators into a tool usable for mining with an explosive gel, firefighting with foam or low-freezing gel spray, construction with welding by applying gas and a flame projector on the front. Generally one is stored in the left leg of the mobile worker for quick access.
•Mining Drill An improved tool from the model-7 Scutson equipped with a large drill ergonomically designed for work on asteroids, although some have criticized its size, nearly comparable to a lance in the mobile suits hands.
•Gyrojet Nailgun As a first step into introducing gyrojet weapons, Sharp made a decision to add gyrojet technology to their nailgun of the scutson model, keeping the pressure activator at the front of the otherwise unwieldy tool. With a short charge designed for quick nail application
•Demolition Charges (x6) A similar charge used on the previous model Scutson, the unit can carry 6 by storing them in the leg compartment where tanks for the applicator would be stored.
Fixed Armaments
•Plasma Pick To test plasma tech into mobile workers, Sharp designed a small cylinder capable of producing an extremely small cone capable of cutting thicker army quickly, but has a short lifespan. Marketing suggested it should be used for scaring off pirates or helping guide ships into dock.
•Anchors Built into the shoulders of the worker are two large and otherwise flat anchors designed to be launched and latched onto asteroids, or in capable hands deflect debris.
Strengths and Weaknesses
For the next generation of mobile workers, Sharp focused on improving the economic efficiency, if at the cost of convenience. The unit features a smaller torso to limb ratio while allowing for flexibility for potential purchasers, although little in the way of technical innovation has been made. The worker is more capable in zero-g environments thanks to 4 thrusters to compliment its verniers, but it is expected that inexperienced pilots will have difficulties controlling the higher center of mass of the unit in gravity environments, recommending companies using it in such to purchase optional treads and wheel assemblies. With the modularity, Sharp sought to decrees the main unit's cost while requiring those seeking optimal usage to purchase more parts.
Technical History
While the Scutson proved essential to Sharp's rise to prominence over their competitors, the company knew they couldn't keep fielding a decades old machine for long and began looking into replacing the model with a full fledged mobile suit after the success of the Redcoat and Tommy. While their success into a fully fledged mobile suit was slow, they recognized that releasing a full mobile suit may not capture the market as they would have to compete with handed down Redcoats and military Tommys, so they opted for a simple 3rd generation mobile worker. They kept the legs of the design, leading to a higher center of gravity but the stout torso design of the original scutson to keep its profile low for factory conditions the scutson was fitted for. Finally they looked to the success of their private mobile worker, the model-7sc for improvements. They improved the screen design for the unit after positive feedback, and focused on the modularity of their unit to increase sales for the unit and additional equipment for the machine. To keep with the Sharp quality, they left it easily accessible for repairs and maintenance purposes. This was all rushed as soon as the expo was announced, diverting parties to the colony in preparation for any new mobile suits announced, leaving the final touches finished days before being loaded onto the Atet. While not a technical marvel they intended, the worker made the company hopeful for its compatibility with the mobile suit designs still under testing by Sharp Workshops.
