@Cerberus0807 Do you mean "starters" as in "one of the first three Pokemon you get in a region"? If so, there is no max. However, I would argue the use of "starter" for this RP. The first Pokemon you actually catch would be one's "starter," but they would just consider it "your first Pokemon." If it was given to you, then it would just be a Pokemon given to you. You can consider one of those as "your first Pokemon."
But you're not going to the professor of the region to choose one of three Pokemon. That doesn't happen in this setting.
If you're talking about "how many Pokemon you start with as a brand new trainer," there's no max. ^^

One small thing that I wanted to discuss with you. It doesn't really change anything about the character, though. I wanted to play with the idea that every region has their own devise similar to the Gauntlet, but it's not a Gauntlet. For example, in the last iteration, the Kalosian Rangers had Cubes that attached to their packs but were equipped with the same mechanics. Is that too complicated? I just liked the idea of each region having their own small aesthetic differences.

@Cerberus0807 Absolutely. Any kind of trainer you like. It'd be interesting to see a trainer just start out and then have the chaos I'm planning occur all around them. But any level of Trainer is fine, yes ^^.
Haha...I even have the game but I was just thinking that a gauntlet is the least offensive form of technology that's convenient and has an unlimited capacity for possibilities in a futuristic RP.

@Imperfectionist You can make a Sentinel or even Watcher, if you wish. This RP's not really focused on Rangers, so there's no real limitation or stipulation on their rank. But if you'd like to start off "low" and get a better feel for it, then I won't force you. ;)

Probably air, in my opinion. Porygon can Hoover/fly, so it wouldn't be unusual. Information is a major aspect of the air division, in this iteration. Land is also just add viable. So, for me it's between air and land (air land doesn't much make sense in this too me because their like the bomb division, in the simplest of analogies).

The Pokèmon can be introduced retroactively, yes. By that, I mean you can add/edit your roster to introduce any Pokèmon from that region that you think are really cool or that the character might have, add moves that you like, etc. I'm not against referencing the region should that be off importance. I might do any of that myself.
Some of the mechanical things will either remain with that region unless we all agree to add something.

And I don't really have a problem with you joining (again? You never submitted your character or anything). I just ask that you intend to follow through (actually play). xP
And just tell me if you're dropping or are leaving for an extended period of time.

But I want to see the WIP of your character in a PM and actually finished, b!tch. ;D
