As the rocks flew at Yanma, the dragonfly in a desperate move used Dwebble's shell to absorb as many shots as possible. The shell broke from impact after impact, bringing Yanma close to collapse. However, it managed to glide back to it's trainer in time. With a red beam of light it was recalled. The trainer dropped his cheerful attitude, in a silent whisper begging his team to pull together and win.

-Yamna Is Unable To Battle-

Dwebble was still angry over the loss of it's shell, especially by it's own attack. Without it's shell,you noticed it had a short hooked tail exposed. Despite Yanma failing, perhaps he evened the odds to take down this rock less Pokemon. Charley continued to laugh, mocking them by saying "Aw, I was hoping the thing would fall over the edge. Oh well, only two cats left. Wonder which one should fall next? Stay right there and I'll get to you soon enough."

@Morose

While Charley was off on yet another rant, Mara was trying a new tactic. She was trying to appeal to Dwebble's feelings for his shell. It was true that he just lost his precious rock, and she was prepared to be willing to help right this wrong. A mix of emotions showed on it's face as it considered her kind words. Dwebble seemed to be calmed by these words, lowering his claws a bit in a show of gratitude.

Meanwhile, Kira was up to her old tricks, with a twist. Charley was busy pointing and laughing, until he saw Kira using Leer again. He stopped talking as he was locked in a stare down with such an innocent looking cat. Fear showed on his face as he commanded his Pokemon, "Dwebble, I'm tired of this cat. It's time to bug her in return. Let's wrap this up already". He pointed at his target expecting to hear a battle cry, instead it was quiet. He looked back to see his Pokemon lowering it's claws.

He quickly yelled at Dwebble, "Oh come on, is this over the shell? They stole and broke it, finish this and we'll find a new one." Patience running thin, he yelled again, "I gave a command. Hit that cat and finish these trainers." Dwebble looked up and gave a small nod. With surprising speed, it dashed past Espurr and instead went for Purrloin. It's claws glowing green with the warning of an attack.

Charley was mad, his Dwebble was disobeying him, at least it was attacking though. That's when Kira was approaching, for what, he didn't know. Instinctively, he backed away from this tiny Pokemon. Whatever it was, it scared him, and that meant bad news. Step after step, he backed up, anything to keep his distance. No way, these brats were going after him directly.

Kira may have been small, but it looked like a monster in his eyes. With a swift attack, it hit Charley. That looked like it hurt after two Leers, causing him to stumble back a couple steps. Kira managed to snag the Pokeball on his belt, presumably Dwebbles. He glared at the cat, another tiny football to be punted, perhaps into the river below. Like a quarterback trying to line up a field goal, he ran at Kira. The glimmer of a small object in it's hands told him what he suspected, it stole his Pokeball.

Rowan on the other hand, was looking to be on the defense. The pale look on his face told the story, he just understood how bad of an idea this fight was. It was too late now as the shell-less bug was looking to attack Purrloin. There wasn't much emotion on it's face, just the look of a Pokemon wanting this over with as soon as possible. Perhaps Mara's words made an impact, or Dwebble had his own plans. Either way, it was set on knocking out it's current opponent. Rowan realized that even one hit might knock out Purrloin, considering it was already hurt.

-Dwebble Used Fury Cutter-

Rowan scanned with his eyes, surely a Tailow was nearby. All these rocks and people yelling should draw one in. With a steel gaze, he scanned for the faintest glimmer of a bird. Eyes in the trees at a distance, unsure if they were birds or something else. Whatever they were, they were keeping their distance. Guess miracles don't happen all the time.

So, I meant to introduce myself a while ago. No time like the present though, so hello everyone. I was mentioned briefly, but I look forward to running as one of the Co-GMs. So yeah, throwing my hat in the ring.
<Snipped quote by Pikmin Eye>

I was wondering if Yanma could slam the shell at the last second at the first rock and the use that as a chance to escape.

Disrupting an attack using a bigger rock? It sounds possible, but it's easier said than done. Don't forget Yanma is trying to do a quick turn while doing a fly by from a Quick Attack. Given the scenario, I just don't see you quickly turning and accurately throwing it to disrupt the first of many rocks.

You went all in on a move you knew wouldn't work, leaving yourself open to a counter attack to expose the bug. I assumed you were pulling a sacrifice for the team, to trade Yanma fainting for Dwebble's shell. That's the feel your decision gave to me, but maybe I read it wrong.
@hatakekuro What kind of last second thing? I'm open to ideas if you got some.
You guys work fast at posting on this battle. Mine is up now, so enjoy what happens next.

With a watchful eye, Dwebble was annoyed that somehow, Yanma didn't fall on the first shot. Either way, it was coming back with the exact same attack and a slightly lower angle, yet somehow even faster. With furious snapping of it's claws, it tried to scare the approaching Yanma. Failing that, it looked to it's trainer for an idea of how to respond.

@Morose

Unlucky for Dwebble, Charley had his own problems. Just as he got rid of one cat, another was giving him the evil eye. He felt a chill go down his spine, like the gates of hell were being held back by this small devil cat. Forcing himself to look away, he was slow to notice the Yanma approaching quickly.

Normally, he would have suspected something was up if it wasn't for Espurr shaking him up so badly. Worry showed on his face as he barked out an order "Take the hit and end that bug with another Rock Blast" His words weren't needed, seeing as it was the exact same command.

With a nod, Dwebble retreated into it's shell and braced for impact. Unlike last time, Yanma was seeking to separate him from his shell. Anger showed on it's face at the idea of anything trying to separate him from his shell. This emotion was short lived as he was swiftly raised into the air. Considering the speed and angle of Yanma's attack, there was only one place Dwebble was about to go. Charlie watched in horror as Dwebble was about to be tossed into the rapids below. He screamed "Before you go over the edge. Ditch the rock, I'll find you another one later, I promise."

Dwebble realized he was about to go over the edge and had to make a split second decision. With a reluctant sigh, he bailed on his shell. If you looked carefully, you would swear Dwebble was crying at this loss, not that it lasted long.

-Dwebble Has Become Homeless-

With renewed anger, Dwebble threw more rocks, looking to hit the bug into the rapids with it's precious shell. Yanma's ability to dodge was hampered by the extra weight of Dwebble's rock albeit only for a few seconds. Yanma was not unaware of this attack, due to it's 360 degree vision. Unfortunately, it was once again at point blank from it's improvised eviction. If this hit, it was looking to be the end of Yanma, and possibly a swim with the fishes.

-Dwebble Used Rock Blast-

@PlatinumSkink

It was looking to be checkmate for Yanma, as Charley was already gloating. "I hope you like your bug squashed and waterlogged. You should have just paid the toll, now I see I get the honor of watching this pathetic Pokemon fall to it's death. That shell will be added to your debt as well. Maybe I'll just take the remaining two Pokemon." He was laughing, ready to show why he was so much stronger than them. His torn clothes flapping in the wind, and an arrogant look on his face.

Off in the distance, Purrloin had a pep talk with Rowan. This speech unfortunately occupied precious time they could have been used to help Yanma out. Rowan's Pokedex has already done the damage though, as now Charley's Dwebble lost it's greatest defense. However, without it's shell, it has gained quite a bit of speed. As the trainers will soon find out. Despite it's dual type, without the rock on it's back, it was now considered a Bug type alone.

@hatakekuro The reason I didn't mention the knock back is that generally rock types are hard to move around. The fact that they weigh into the ground is the reason normal types don't work very well. Also, I mentioned that Dwebble braced itself each time you hit it, digging in to prevent you from pushing around on the ground. It also came down to angles, you attacked from a higher elevation, which actually would help anchor Dwebble into the ground causing more friction. The end result is you helped prevent it from suffering knock back, by using height advantage. Kind of why flying is so bad against rock types.

This was a long explanation to say based on how you described the attack, knock back was impossible. Did I miss a point or otherwise overlook a possibility?
@hatakekuro Yeah, I see why you are unsure of this. A move was used at close range helped by you running directly into it. Add that it was 4X effective, mix with somehow dodging all but one. You end up with confusion stew.

Sorry for the delay, I had to really think about how this would work. This is surprisingly a tricky one, seeing as its an ultra effective scenario. A few things to note, your Speed Boost does not trigger during an attack, but after the round. Rock blast was still a part of that round, so your speed was base still. I dislike how easily you made it sound to dodge all of that.

So for the sake of making this RP still enjoyable, how about you got hit by two of the rocks, but barely held on? This is much more believable while not denying you of your brilliant plan. Considering the type match up, I'm being gracious to let you still go on fighting. Other than your first paragraph, you will have to wait till Charley's post to see how that turned out.

As always, I am willing to discuss if you have any problems on this.
So, who's been disqualified? I'm having a hard time keeping track.

I was looking forward to seeing how an imitator fought, but oh well.

@Hatakekuro

Yanma was the first to attack with its blinding speed, covering the distance with ease. The wind howled, combining with the bug's battle cry, heading straight towards the crustacean. Charley watched the comet flying towards his Pokemon and yelled "If it flies, it cries. Tank the hit, then use Rock Blast." The crustacean nodded and attempted to retreat into it's shell. Yanma was too swift and hit with precision, expecting a triumphant impact. Yanma instead hit the rock on it's back with a dull thud, barely doing any damage.

-It's not very effective-

The crustacean then proceeded to hurl multiple rocks at Yanma, who will have to try to avoid it at point blank.

-Crustacean used Rock Blast-

Charley smiled at how easy it was, like taking candy from a baby.

@PlatinumSkink

It was then that Purrloin came rushing in, but not aiming at his Pokemon. Caught off guard by such a bold tactic, Charley's shoes and pants were quickly shredded into strips of fabric by Purrloin's sharp claws. With his attention distracted, he figured Yanma would fall pretty quickly. With a swift motion of his torn boot, he kicked the cat in it's face, looking to send the small Pokemon flying away from him back towards her trainer. Agitated by being in a swamp with junked boots, they will pay for this.

Wiping the sweat off his face, Charley said, "Aiming for a trainer? I'm impressed, now you will have to pay for my destroyed clothing in addition. I guess I'll have to add one of your Pokemon to the debt you owe me."

Rowan, deciding that the best idea is to use his Pokedex, scanned the mystery Pokemon. With a beep, it responded in it's usual voice:

"Dwebble - It makes a hole in a suitable rock. If that rock breaks, the Pokémon remains agitated until it locates a replacement."

@Morose

Among the quickly growing action, Mara ordered her Espurr to use Leer. Out of the corner of it's eye, the crustacean saw a new level of anger from such a cute Pokemon. It was a momentary distraction, not enough to shake it's aim on Yanma though. Without a new order from it's trainer, it remained focused on the flying bug in it's face.
