This looks great, like a final iteration of a couple ideas. I would be interested in playing a vassal state (possibly just a city-state with a variety of races) of the @gorgenmastSalished Empire, industrious, concerned with guarding its growing ichor refinery operations. As a plot point, I'd like to have a power-hungry beastkin warlock stealing ichor from the city or something to that end. A few questions:

1. Could we have some examples of archaeo-tech? Are these massive machines or more like small devices? I definitely want to make use of them, just need a jumping-off point.
2. What themes are we looking at? Is this political driven or more like a series of stories to work into one narrative?
3. That map is sweet. Who made it and is the Dread Sea that large body of water to the West?
This seems pretty straight forward to me, never really done a modern/superhero rp before , if I think of any cool character concepts I might submit a character.
<Snipped quote by Polybius>

Nope, not water but instead blood. The wound closes itself every now and again or it ruptures again. The source, it could be like a deep cut in a mountain. Though, I never put much thought into that.

Hmm maybe the blood itself is the thing, the source.
I'm super interested to see where ravenous takes this.
Name: Rivers of Chaos

Geography: A river constantly runs red, runs straight into the middle of these lands that feeds it "water". This river connects to many smaller rivers that cover a vast portion of the land. Occasionally the rivers stop, sometimes for a day or sometimes for years. Where the rivers normally flow downstream, they flow upstream in a rapid torrent often causing something akin to a small tsunami. Afterwards, the river disappears completely. The land can be turned to desert if the river is gone, but it always comes back. When it does, the river unleashes another "tsunami" to resettle itself. The river is never in the same place.

Method of Recycling Matter: Most old material can get dragged back into the ground itself when the river recedes or carried along when the river reseeds itself.

Cool idea Lauder. Could you do anything with the 'source' of the river? I'm assuming it's not actually water in the river?
Name: Ephemeral Plains of Ill Repute

Geography: Dominating the plains is the Plateau Encephalon, a sagging, disgusting mound of moist flesh-soil with an enormous grimacing mouth-canyon. A thousand rows of black-gummed teeth gnaw and gnash for eternity anything that slips into the canyon. Stretching out from the Mouth are veiny black ravines and tunnels that stretch to the furthest reaches of the Plain. These labyrinthine paths change and shift frequently, and ultimately lead any creatures to the Mouth for consumption.

Method of Recycling Matter: The Mouth at the center of the Plateau Encephalon deposits matter into the vast subterranean intestinal complex known as Damnation. Depending on the size of the matter (and the resilience) it may take centuries or hours for something to be consumed and returned to the Plains.
Going to try and get my mage finished up today, but we'll see with the holiday.

EDIT: Character as he stands now:

"..Probably need to add a few more personal relations, but if anything I think that should be with other players as the character of Tarsus is only really reaching his story potential once he reaches the north. His background is simple, but effective to explain his motivations as power hungry & slightly cruel.."

Interested. My suggestion? Don't worldbuild too much before starting. Concentrate on the story. Invent some really bad-ass villains for the players to fight. Make some plot points with a beginning, middle and end. As for world-building, really all you might need is some vague answers to inevitable questions that pop up like "Where did the superpower stuff come from?" "Who-or what is at war?" "Why are they at war?" and so on.
Formulating ideas already. Some sort of grotesque clockwork creation that only speaks in rhyme (and can only understand things spoken in rhyme) or a locksmith that finds a set of keys that allow tiny portals to open up to other planes eventually allowing him to cast spells. Or something completely different, we'll see!
Certainly interested, your ideas are always awesome Mokley- I'm guessing this would be a small group type RP so as not to get overwhelmed with 1x1's? Any ideas on what the world is about beyond "clock-punk"?
My Real Life workload should lighten up come fall and winter and I have a few ideas I wanted to share with you guys. If anyone is interested in any of the ideas below, drop a line here. (Don't just say interested, I need to know which game your into and why) These are just bare-bones concepts right now and I am welcome to input from anyone. Thanks for reading!

1. Golden Age Competing Cinema Studio
B Movie Sci-fi & Horror, Government Men, Mafia largesse, Communist Scares and Hollywood Scandal, Cinema Studios have an opportunity to amass fortunes that rival small countries. Take control of a studio, rewrite-rewrite-rewrite and god help you if your characters never change.

2. Intergalactic Senate
An alien empire has shattered two hundred years ago, in the wake of devastation a new order must emerge to bring civilization back to the galaxy. Assets and Liabilities, Truces, Trade Deals, War, Invention. Create a civilization and the ambassador that will represent it in the Intergalactic Senate. I think most of the RP would take place in the Intergalactic Senate, with some additional posts that develop civilizations over time.

3. Inter-Planar Conflict
Magi-Tech. Think airships powered by floating gas-bag whale thingies. Muskets with lightning bolt shot. Non-standard fantasy races only. Humans OK. Late medieval-early Ren technology + Magic. Light-hearted and slightly odd/humorous tone.

"Altimea, the largest plane of existence has collapsed in on itself, sending ripples across the multiverse. On the relatively quiet plane of Numeria, rifts in the fabric of reality have opened allowing colonizing races to overrun the peaceful kingdoms."

4. Feudal Space
For millenia, the Emperor has outlawed colonization of terrestrial bodies. 99% of mankind has been banished to immense space-stations and geo-synchronous orbital habitats. Most of the galaxies planets have evolved without the intervention of mankind and are rich in resources. Now the Emperor has died and the Ascendant has overturned a thousand years of banishment. Gritty tech, noble houses, quasi-magic and of course, lightsaber knock-offs.
