Okay good. I tend to worry over these things a lot since I know how much it bothers me when others do it to me without asking :P
Heheheheh, indeed :P
Another groan rumbles out from the man as James pulls him in closer, but as he listens Dorian can hear the pain seeping into his voice. 'He is going at it a little too hard, but at least he listened to the first instruction' Dorian reaches out with a hand, smoothing it along his back in an effort to calm him. He is about to tell him to be more gentle when he notices the man's heartbeat. 'It is slowing already. We are definitely going to have to find a second one tonight' His eyes follow the stream of blood dripping down the man's shoulder and chest. 'Hopefully the charm works properly and he will think he was attacked by a dog or something' Smoothing his fingers through James's hair he murmurs softly, “Now little one, you need to stop. Do not worry, we will hunt more. However if you kill him we will have to go through far more trouble than one meal is worth.” Trusting the boy to do as he is told he simply tugs softly on the hair in his fingers in encouragement rather than forcing him to stop.
I think this post is going to be waaaay shorter than I'm use to. . .

However, I suppose it happens :P
'Such a lifeless man. He moves, he breaths, and yet he appears as a corpse' A slow smile spread across his lips and slowly he crouches down before the fallen man. 'That smell in his blood, it is definitely disease. It will take time, but I can purge it from him' As he settles in a couching position his cloak splits open, sliding against his thighs and coming to settle behind him like a cape. Reaching out he touches the man's hand softly. “I can smell it in you. The blood, coursing through you, riddled with a foulness that would soon claim you life if not dealt with.” Looking up into the human's eyes his smile fades even as his eyes darken slightly in interest. “I can heal this, but it will take quite some time.”

His fingers brush gently over the back of his hand, the pale clammy flesh making him cringe internally. 'This has indeed been ravaging his body for a long time. I am not going to like this very much. However, he called for me, so I must fulfill his wish' “I can take you blood into me, draining from you the disease and purifying you a little bit at a time.” He chuckles lightly. “It will hurt, as all healing does, and as I said, it will take a while. During this time I must feed only on you, so you must be ready when it is time. If not, your blood will begin to decay again.” His tongue comes out to slick across his fangs once again, the feeling of them on his tongue making him smile. His hand drops down before he draws it back to rest opposite the other perched on his right knee. “So, human, do you think you have what it takes to become one of the living?”
Short, I know, but I see most of these ending up shortish :P
~After a while a sound caches his attention. He stops, looking about wildly for it's source.

I know I heard something.

However the sound is gone even as he strains his ears to hear it again. At last he sighs and continues walking. The sound comes again, but this time he recognizes it. Looking down his eyes open wide in shock as he comes to understand just what he is hearing.

My footfalls. I can hear them.

And earlier, I heard my sigh!

Swallowing hard he hums ever so lightly and the sound reverberates deep in his chest. Licking his lips he falls silent and continues walking. The suddenly, something appears. It's far away, and in the darkness seems an impossible distance away, but he stalks on undeterred. His pace slows as he comes to realize just what he's found.

Enasi?

Can it be?

As he closes the distance between them, the figure turns to look at him.

It's him alright. . .

A new sound greets his ears. It's Enasi's voice. Never before had such a thing filled him with such a pleasant feeling. He does not hesitate, moving in closer. The tingle in his hand vanishes and with a smile he calls out, “You know, I never thought I'd say this, but I could go for a Dream right about now. Even if I am hallucinating, it's better than nothing, am I right?” Stopping a few paces away a shock runs through Seishu as he realizes he can see the ground now. However instead of the firm body temperature stone like material, the ground is now covered in deep blue grass. Letting out a short laugh that ends in a little choking noise he curls his toes in the plant life and swallows hard once again. His eyes seek out Enasi's even as a huge grin spreads across his features.~
That. . . That first post sounds EXACTLY like Gattaca. . .You even used the same terms. . .

As for length, that's not too long. Most of my posts, if my partner is compelling enough and it's not a time for direct interactions, will be around that long, maybe only a little bit shorter :P

I'll try and get a post in soon, however RL is ragging on me so it may be a bit.
I wasn't going to base the androids off of human tech at all. So, to me, it doesn't matter what we as humans can do now, here , in this reality. My suggestions were for a completely different universe.

I was saying that their memories CAN'T be stored in computers. Something they themselves kept from their original designs to avoid immortality. Something as smart as an android would understand how foolish ever lasting life would be, and take steps to ensure that they do not become too robotic. If all a being is is the sum of their memories, then what makes them different from robots? I would like the idea that even these artificial beings have the equivalent of a soul, so the idea that they don't have life expectancies and the urge to have children regularly makes them more robotic than anything else. I wanna stay away from natural conclusions, and come up with stuff far outside the realms of what were here in our reality have come to expect.

Again, I don't want them to be able to share memories and knowledge, it's too robotic. Sure, an internal communication system, but only for talking, not for downloads. It would, yes, give them socializing issues. I like the idea of bad social skills. And what do you mean "Reawakening"? Are you saying you want to do a thing where they were once mindless drones or something? If so I really think we may have a little mix up when it comes to defining things. In my mind, Androids are built to NOT be mindless. Those are robots. Robots are the computers with limbs. Androids have true AI.
'Wow, that place sounds like it's amazing. He doesn't seem upset about it going down hill though. I wonder if it gave him this opportunity to leave his family's generation job and see a bit more of the world' His tail wags back and forth happily as Aryx talks about the shrine and island. To him it sounds so beautiful, even if the picture in his mind is vague and shadowy. Having never seen anything like it the best he can come up with, he feels, is a shameful representation of the place his guest seems to love so much. His tail snaps slightly as a faint blush rushes to his cheeks. “I'm not interesting.” he mumbles to himself when Aryx turns his attention back to Viltez.

Turning his head he grips his tea lightly with both hands when asked about where he'd come from. 'I suppose, he's told me so much about himself, it's only right I respond in kind' Taking a deep steadying breath, calming his heart which he hadn't noticed had begun to beat rapidly he begins quietly. “I do not come from the woods around here. I come from a rather far of place I don't remember all that well. The reason I am so different from those around here is because of the war.” His eyes dart up to Aryx's for an instant then back down to his tea. “I. . .My father was a Beastwalker. I can remember him, but just barely. I was twelve when he dropped me off on the outskirts of town. Beastwalkers and human had a war, when I was younger, and not humans and Beastwalkers have so much bad blood between them.”

With a sigh he drinks down his tea and pushes himself to his feet. His head hangs down as he moves over to the sink to wash his dish. Raising his voice a bit to be heard from the kitchen area he continues. “I remember a great forest. He trees were three times as big as the ones around here. Inside was where the other Beastwalkers lived, and a few miles away was a human town. We didn't go to either place. . . Well, I didn't. Papa would go off on occasion when we needed something we couldn't make or find.” Setting the cup on the wooden rack he returns to the table and sits down. Holding his arms atop the hard wood he settles his head down on them. “One time he came back and we had to go. We traveled for over a week, barely resting, until at last we came near this town. He said it would be safe for me, and that if I could just “Be human” I would be okay. He gave me my first long shirt.” He smiles, looking up at Aryx and giving his sleeve a tug. His tail comes down and slips around his waist loosely.

“I just had to keep it wrapped up tight and even if someone saw it I could pass it off as a belt, as long as they didn't get too good a look.” He chuckles lightly, his tail coming back out. Of it's own free will the tail begins moving towards Viltez's guest when the young man returns his gaze tot he table. It stops withing arms reach and waves slowly back and forth. “It was rough at first, but eventually I found jobs here, and built my own home. I've had a few close calls, but after finding out about the wars my vigilance wen-. . .” The shadow of his tail on the table stops him cold and his eyes dart up to watch his tail wave back and forth in front of his visitor. A battle begins inside his mind. 'Should I pull it back? Am I being rude? Maybe he's curious. . .I don't suppose it would hurt if he touched it. But am I assuming too much?' His tail continues to wag slightly while he watches to see what happens.
