Current Those you call 'police' are nothing more than law-protected gangsters. They can be bribed, tricked and threatened to shoot innocents. Make no mistake.

Ego. Like lava it flows into a roleplay from it's maker's touch, destroying the land he sought to create. Only after Ego has been cooled, can written life spring into existence again.

Oh... damn. Well no dirt off my shoes. Take all the time you need, you shouldn't force yourself to be here if you don't want too. Best of wishes and a speedy recovery!

Indeed, real life does tend to get in the way of writing more often than it should - but when such things happen no one would blame you. I know if the same situation happened to me, I would not have the inclination to post too! Take it easy and be welcomed once more back to the roleplay. @LordOfTheNight

Sullivan listened closely as Connor explained the circumstances of their situation, not that he would have paid less attention if it was anyone else. Of course. But back in Albion, civilized clothing and pipesmoke often made words heavier when spoken through that very same mouth.

" ...I do believe that enemy has returned after years of slumber. I have been receiving reports concerning an increase in monster activity..."

Why is it always left to sleep? We have fire. He mumbled, with only Claire his sole audience. His glance shot towards the hearth. Maybe he will find out ...

Then it was adam's, the odd amalgamation of body parts, turn to speak. In the less dreary lights of the inner halls, he could now make out the finer features of this particular individual. Sullivan was not too enthusiastic about making him uncomfortable by leering at him, until he spoke that is-

"...I find it difficult to believe a group of savages could band together to hunt these monsters in force but I suppose a serious enough threat could be a good motivator."

"Band of savages?" His metallic voice quipped. Getting insult thrown his way out of the blue mid-conversation, the Knight couldn't help but feel a pang of indignation. Especially when he has been nothing but civilized thus far. He looked Adam up and down, his helm squeaking with each purposeful movement. "Look at you, all civilized in those tavern-rags. Tell me, is blood stain or spittle more fashionable nowadays?"

Mage of Water

Name: Gwynavere Crisp, aka "Gwyn"

Role: Mage of Water

Gender: Male

Personality: Depressed. Gwyn has a rather, to put it lightly, pessimistic view of the world. Everything ends in failure, nothing's really worth looking forward to. He often bemoans some of his feelings to others if ever asked for an opinion. Woe to those who actually do. Simply put, he does not have many friends.

However, inwardly, he is someone who once was a stoic individual. ALways wanting to make the world better, invent something that would help the good portion of mankind, maybe make the world a bit less ...rubbish. But not today, because as he puts it straightforwardly - "people are scum".

Also, he has a girl's name. Can you really expect him to be a smiling guy?

Traits:

Strong will - "because what's there to loose if everything is going to die anyway? It's all pain and suffering anyway, a little more won't hurt."

Emotionless face - "what's the point of smiling? It uses more muscles than any other expression. It's not like anyone cares to remember your face. And if they do remember, you have to ask: Why?"

Objective perception - "buddhism says "To be enlightened, one must forsake all material gain." So dying is enlightenment? Well, alright then."

Morale vacuum - When Gwyn joins your party, your party suffers a -2 penalty to morale as long as he is in the party.

That's the gist (more details if accepted) of who I imagine would be my character, if I were to play as the Mage of Water. Interested!

Thanks all for the patience. Let's do this.

LET'S DO THIS!!!!!! *chaaarrrrrrgggeee*

...

.........RUN AWAY!!!~~
Hi!

I've been watching this for awhile, I was a reserve player (in case there weren't enough players, I would join in) in one of the thread starter's topics but I found this!

I've been interested in Tolkien lore (the background and landscape), but not it's history and events and I think that would be very fitting for playing a character that has not personally experienced the events of the destruction of a certain finger ornament. Thus, I express my interest in playing a character here. Likely of The Race of Man (or perhaps even elven, IF there are too many Humans around. Then maybe beorn-like if too many elves too. Then maybe ...*goes on for a good half an hour or so*).

I'll be inclined to play my character as ignorant of the details of what happened during the times of the movies and books, except for having heard word of recounts and stories that were told throughout the land - even then my character might still have not heard them due to a rather isolated lifestyle, apart from the occiasional trip to the markets and stores. So if my character starts asking things like:

"I know where we should bring this! ....Where was that place they got rid of the ....that ....I forgot, necklace or was it ring -thing again? The one which Saurus wanted ...you know where I mean. You know. You know? You ...that ........neverind."

Bear with me.
@Jbcool Actually I've been more interested in one of your other roleplays, I can only do one without spending my whole day typing (although, I don't mind if that occurs :).). I'll continue being a reserve player here in case there isn't enough players, but the other roleplay of yours isn't yet filled up!
Hey, I'm still having interests in this and have not forgotten it. Been not so busy so I'd still be able to write, mainly been playing Hearthstone (it's mind numbingly stupid, so this would be a welcomed change of pace).
Imagine a young, novice magician straight out of the Grand Library who one day saw a fine-looking woman getting her jewels stolen from her neck. In an impulse to impress the lass and be the hero of the day (and possibly the hero of that night too, if you get what I mean ;)) he cast a Sleeping spell aimed at the miscreant.

...But it hit the guard chasing the thief. Not only that, the guard was the guard captain. Not only that, the guard captain fell asleep in the middle of the road. Then got hit by a wagon. That wagon toppled over his sleeping victim and spilled two hundred gold pieces worth of fine dwarven brew. That dwarven brew splashed unto a nearby barbershop's candle and sent a cascade of fire rolling down the streets. Many things were set on fire, but sadly, not the guard captian. The guard captain remained alive to tell the tale, albeit with 33 stitches, 2 healing sessions- to trace it back to the young magician who now ...has to make ammends by spending time in jail or doing the job he hates most, a guard.

Will this work? :))).

Btw: also ...the thief got away.
Does anyone else think that the whole island looks like a dragon (or maybe something else)?

With it's mouth being the cinderlands and appropriately, the place is teeming with steam vents and geysers.

Then the arms of azoth being an actual arm, claw-like in shape.

The belly of the dragon is the poisoned sea, perhaps where it was wounded and where bile is leaking out in ichor.

The broken coast it's spines on its skiull.

Then the Rainlands, the most untouched of all, it's chest and breast where such a creature would likely be most scaled and protected?

...It is an interesting point to me that perhaps might shed light on the origin of ichor, and though sadly, I must say that I am unable to join this RP anymore due to some other events happening in the forsaken realm we call reality. I wanted to make a guild-conglomerate that bases it's commerce on excavating the ruins of ancient civillizations in the arms of azoth, with it slowly becoming a nation as the salished are dwindling in influence throughout the roleplay. :).
Ah the very first nation mentioned, my mistake!

Well then, the Arm of Azoth seems rather unoccupied. Perhaps a different kind of nation might reside there?
