Peace has to be fought for, even if the law is used against you.

Ego. Like lava it flows into a roleplay from it's maker's touch, destroying the land he sought to create. Only after Ego has been cooled, can written life spring into existence again.

@Smystar99 Hoorah for history! I'm going to reveal bits about my character's history IC eventually, mostly because I haven't gone into the details yet. (I'm terribad at history.)
She seems like she would be less bubbly, given her childhood. ...I wonder who's that creepy dude staring at her? :P.
@Smystar99@auspiciousPetal@Sterling I have no clue! It could be a college orientation camp thing with the pizza delivery / bike messenger giving a late night snack at Grace's house the night they start work. I'm totally alright with them being coerced to be together by some academic psycho teacher.
...preparation for a cosplay event? Business meeting? Arranged marriage? Plotted murder?
Maybe Gwyn is Grace's creepy Facebook stalker and Montgomery is her best friend, while sterling's character was here to deliver something and got caught in the mess.
Grace's heard of a Haunted house whereby they described the ghost to sound very similar to Kellan, so she through Sterling's character, she got supposed 'junior ghost hunters' Montgomery and Gwyn to check it out with her?
Really, I have no clue but I want to be surprised by your ideas!
You always get paired up with the weirdest people in my experience, of course this is just a random idea so if you have a better one - make sure to tell us!
@auspiciousPetal I see! I guess I'll have him find out what weapons do what in the roleplay since he's not an expert thus far.
Would the Knights and Mages know each other beforehand (at the start of the Roleplay) or would they only know it after some kind of introduction - whereby Oprah points at us and says "You get a Mage! And you get a Knight! And your get a Dragon!" and we know who we're partner-in-crimes with.
I ask because if my character does know Montgomery and Grace (and whoever is joining!), there might be some mention I'd like to include in his profile. *cough bubblygirlcrampingmystyle cough* And there would be less need for introductions, and also probably know their various strengths and weaknesses a little better. :)!
As you can see, it's going to be hard for me to play a depressed person. It's just so ...different from who I am IRL. But it will be an experiment! XD.
A particularly shy style of dressing, Gwyn is often seen with a hooded short sleeve jacket that hides his physique, of either red or yellow motifs - but mostly black in colour. His hair is left acceptably long going by japanese standards, covering his left eye and has a fading red-brown hue to it, likely having been dyed a few years back.
However despite all this, he can be seen as a handsome young man underneath that grunge. With sharp, edgy facial features yet a light stubble to ensure he does not cross over to the feminine side. He seems to prefer outdoorsy wear like a compassed-watch, waterproof wallet and phone, with steel toed boots just in case he needs to kick something really hard. It makes things easier if he decides to run into the mountains and rue the day away.
He tends to read plenty of articles online so he always has a spare battery hidden somewhere, alongside a pocket full of unrelated knickknacks that, suprisingly, come in handy during desperate occasions.
Traits:
Perpetually depressed. The Mage of Water has a rather, to put it lightly, pessimistic view of the world. Everything ends in failure, nothing's really worth looking forward to. He often bemoans some of his feelings to others if ever asked for an opinion. Woe to those who actually attempt so, simply put, he does not have many friends.
However, he was not always like that, once he was a stoic individual. Always wanting to make the world better, invent something that would help the good portion of mankind, maybe make the world a bit less ...rubbish. But the reality he lives in has changed him, because as he puts it straightforwardly - people are scum.
Also, he has a girl's name, does he really have much to smile for?
Strong will - "because what's there to loose if everything is going to die anyway? It's all pain and suffering anyway, a little more won't hurt."
Emotionless face - "what's the point of smiling? It uses more muscles than any other expression. It's not like anyone cares to remember your face. And if they do remember, you have to ask: Why?"
Objective perception - "buddhism says "To be enlightened, one must forsake all material gain." So dying is enlightenment? Well, alright then."
Morale vacuum - When Gwyn joins your party, your party suffers a -2 penalty to morale as long as he is in the party.
Strengths in Combat ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Weaknesses in Combat Not particularly agile or fast, Gwyn prefers to stand his ground in confrontations both verbal and physical.
Weapon of Choice None yet.
Magical Abilities:
Apart from moving water around with sympathetic gestures, a feat he keep relatively quiet about, Gwyn has recorded orchestrated techniques that he discovered as spells.
(With 4 is the average a Human has.) Speed: 2 Agility: 3 Endurance: 3 Melee Combat: 5 (Has a bit of unhoned Brute strength) Aim: 3 Medical Knowledge: 7 Basic Survival Skills: 4 Hunting: 3 Intellect: 7 Crafting: 5
I see! Then in that case, might I put a 'likely' fighting style instead? Things might change during the Roleplay (such as maybe wielding a sword in honor of a fallen comrade) and I'd like to leave that to be possible.
Also, I think my character is not so much a warrior-like type. He doesn't really train with weapons his whole life, persay, so he might not have a 'Choice of Weapon'. It's basically grab what is nearby if he is ever required to melee. That alright?
I have updated my profile, look forward to playing with you both!
