It's a thing with my writing that I've done since I was a kid. No idea why I started way back when, I guess english being a foreign language it just sounded right to me or something. But now it's just a trademark thing I do. :)

And the italics for talking, is that a style choice? Usually people use italics for thoughts, so it took me a bit to get used to the curisive sentences being spoken words.

I am generally used to using quoted italics for talking and regular italics for words. This is mostly because just quotes didn't stand out that well on the graphic themes of the other forums I used to visit. What's the etiquette here so that I might adjust?

Overall though, I like this story. It's mysterious.

It's a story about an old RPG character of mine. I picked up where I left her off all those years ago. Just when she'd thought she couldn't get into any more trouble. xD If anyone is interested I can keep the story going.

Could be. This said as far as power is concerned I'd actually be glad if someone helped me tweak her. Because that's the part I am unsure of. I am basically inspired by Kenshiro from Fist of the North star and his super fast punches for her primary combat style. Plus I always found the coolest part of DBZ battles to be the part where they punch so fast they don't animate the hands and you just see them dodging with their head and stuff. And than I went from there and extrapolated.

Maybe this is just me being a stickler for details, but how did she learn the kaio-ken? Did this hermit teacher know King Kai?

Good point. I didn't really think this bit through. I basically just want her to have some sort of super limit break ability that I can use to "power up" in situations where it's time to get serious so that she can keep up with the Super Sayans and not end up being the teams Krilin. But I didn't want it to be a full on transformation.

I am open to suggestions on the topic of power in general and even reworking things. Its been even longer since I last saw DBZ than since I played so my lore is not that good any more.

I should probably mention that Ovaan can't sense Ki. I mean... why would he? It's not exactly something the Freeza Force was known for. So uh... that's gonna be a thing we'll have to deal with early on. xD

Ok, here goes nothing.

Hider

A humanoid species known primarily for their oddly colored hair and horns which give them a demonic appearance. In terms of power they are a somewhat generic species aside from the fact that for those trained to fight and sense the fighting power of others the horn will act as an amplifier tingling and even glowing in the case of an extremely powerful presence.

On their homeworld, the Oni were a peaceful but armed warrior culture preferring to practice armed neutrality (like Switzerland) and stay out of galactic affairs while keeping a core of strong fighters to protect them self from outside threats. At the heart of this was a series of martial arts tournaments culminating with the Great World Tournament held every 10 years. The winners of this tournament earned great honor and the right to join the elite protectors of their planet. A force that was, at least theoretically meant to protect their world from any would be destroyers.

Unfortunately it was during the finals of the last tournament that their world was mysteriously destroyed somewhat definitively proving their approach wrong.

Young, reasonably good looking and with soft smooth skin and eyes ever so slightly larger than is comfortable for human observation she represents a well groomed female specimen of her species. A bar that, to be fair, given her current status as its only living representative isn't something she needs to try much to clear. Still, she does her best to keep her silky pink hair in order and polish her two short and mildly curved horns pointing upward to match her smile.

In terms of clothing she dresses simply, preferring full length pants and short slaves for their practicality in a fight and for the same reason cutting her hair just above her shoulders. Although she absolutely refuses to tie it.

She has always been the sort to smile, be cheerful and not take life too seriously. The destruction of her home and everything she knew and cared for seems not to have changed this. Although the astute might tell that these days at times the smile is only skin deep. One thing that definitively did change is that her already strong sense of justice has developed into a mean streak meaning that she is completely willing and arguably eager to kill without hesitation anyone she considers to be a "bad guy". A be it that she will do so cheerfully.

Bio:

Mia grew up as a normal kid with a normal, loving family. She awoke early on to her love of fighting, her earliest memories being of her self as a small child wrestling other children to the ground with the intent of subduing them. By the time her friends were in high school she was spending every free moment of her time training with her great uncle, a renowned martial arts master known widely as the Hedgehog Hermit. His techniques focusing not on strength but speed meshed well with her natural abilities she quickly mastered his mantra of striking before her foe could react and being where his strikes would not be.

By her late teens she was already participating in tournaments working her way up toward the big prize and her all time dream a place in the Great World Tournament, a process that would last her over a decade. Sadly her moment of triumph would also be that of her greatest tragedy. For it was during the finals of this tournament that everything was destroyed.

What happened on that day is a haze. She fought in the tournament and lost. But that was to be expected of a new contender. Just being in the event was a great honor. Beyond that however she remembers little. Unusually for the contest, she recalls, an alien fighter was participating. This was not unheard of or forbidden but it was very rare. The alien, whom she remembers poorly managed to fight his way to the final round and earn the right to face last years champion. Everything after that is a blur. Unsurprisingly perhaps for it is at some point after or maybe during that fight that the world ended.

Just what happened or for that matter why and how she survived is a mystery for she has no recollection of the events. The memories lost or perhaps repressed by her own mind. But she does remember some things vividly. Images, sounds, the ground disappearing before her eyes. Just the sort of fun thing that make little girls wake up at night screaming and clawing at their eyes. Not that she does mind you, but that's a testament to her strength more than anything. Beyond those however there is nothing. Nothing but the cold, unrelenting certainty of her loneliness and a strong if undefined feeling that the mysterious stranger had something to do with the destruction of her world and her survival, both, leaving her somewhat unsure if she should feel infatuated or vengeful.

Techniques:

My Hider

Pulse bomb: She strikes the air with an open hand punch to fire off a fist sized ki projectile. Although not as powerful as some ki attacks (example Kamehameha) it requires no charging time or preparation and can be delivered safely at any range, even in a melee.

Pulse barrage: Same as above only delivered at a very high rate of speed through rapid relentless punching with the intent of drowning an enemy in a machinegun like barrage of projectiles. This is her primary high power destruction attack.

Ki-Speed: She is train to funnel her ki into moving and fighting faster than mere physical ability would allow. She can deliver strikes really fast or fire off a barrage of punches that puts other fighters to shame. She can also run fast enough to walk on water should the need arise.

Mirror attack:
Using the full power of her ki speed she moves so quickly as to appear to be at multiple places at once. This technique is typically used in the form of surrounding an enemy by illusory duplicates (by running around in a circle) and attacking from a seemingly random direction or all at once with only one being real. But other uses exist as well.

Flight: She can fly using ki. Although I imagine this might be a default thing for us.

Super:
Kaio-ken: Self explanatory.

Transformations:

Her species has at least two known and possibly more levels of transformation. However she is yet to achieve any of them. And she really does not know the details, aside from the fact they have something to do with their horns, as these are closely guarded secrets of martial arts masters just above her pay grade. And asking them is going to be a problem seeing as they are all dead.

But they are a possibility for a dramatic level up at some point should the plot demand it.

Other Info:
This is my first game on this forum and in the last 10 years so frankly I am rusty and have a bit of performance anxiety. :) But what can you do. Still, if you guys have any suggestions or comments feel free to tell me before I enter the game and screw up.

Yeah I was starting to notice that. Everyone thirsty for super saiyan ladies. They are beauty, they are grace, they will melt your fucking face.
