Current Nihilism is freedom. To be without purpose is to be free of the oppression of destiny. To be without cause is to be free to make your own. Woe to he who has an outside reason to be. For he is a slave.

Let's not go too far off the deep end. They do have to fit inside the box. And in spite of just how big this thing is, and it's big, it can actually be kind of cramped in here.

I can agree to that compromise.

But life is empty. Always has been and always will be. It's just a way to pass the time until you die and vanish forever into blissful oblivion. So like don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today.

Of course not. But you can't consistently get it out of human writers either. That's why you read all the millions of manuscripts sent to you by would be Tolstoys and Tolkiens and pick the good stuff.

Bio

Long ago in the distant past there was only color. Color to be loved, to be hated, color to please thoughts and corrupt minds. Color to color but newer shape. And than one day everything changed. We do not speak of this event nor of the times thereafter. For they were dark times when color took shape and shape rejected color. To this day the two remain separate, ever touching but newer becoming one. With one exception.

What you see before you is the purple cube of the cosmos. The merger of shape and color and ultimate avatar of the color purple in its physical form. Its N-dimensional form exists beyond your comprehension leaving but a shadow in the form of a cube for you to perceive. A cube with right angles and yet no sharp edges.

It's guardian, a being of it and yet distinct from it and one with it all at the same time dwells within. Or perhaps they dwell together, or just dwell. The later is most certainly true these days a the cube orbits earth having after an eternity in space discovered the internet and its endless supply of cat videos. Now the two orbit hungrily in search of satellites to consume so as to feed its insatiable hunger for cute.

I am basically banking on the idea that robots won't be smart enough to figure out a proper lead on her before she ducks into some cover or zigzags the opposite way. Because that's what I figure is the power level at display here.
Sounds like maybe the speed of an arrow give or take a bit is what you want? Seems easy enough to me

Basically video game circle strafe speed what ever that is. I don't want to be overpowered and am frankly not sure what the powerlevel here even is as most people have gone for such numerically accurate descriptors as "stronger than average by far".
I get that. But bullets are faster than sound. So not light speed, but faster than sound. It’s not narrowest of end brackets but it’s a start.

You are thinking about this wrong. She does not have to be faster than the stuff being shot at her. She only has to be faster than the hands wielding the gun. Think circlestrafing basically.
I was looking up speeds and such. Earth’s escape velocity is 7 miles a second. That just sounds insanely fast. 25k mph.

As a sort of measurement. Perhaps compare her speed to the speed of sound, a bullet, or light.

Those aren't really in the same order of magnitude that I was thinking. Like, we have a character in the game, several in fact, that have basically taken super strength. Think that but in terms of speed. She's fast enough that she can do a dramatic run at the enemy and not get shot to pieces but that's the extent of it.

Like say we run into a platoon of enemy robots with guns. Our sniper takes up a covering position and my girl charges at them zigzaging so as to not get shot throwing bombs all the way. By the time she's taken out a couple of the enemy and generally "pulled" the mob the rest of our melee troops are upon them ready to hack them apart. That sort of thing.
I decided to cook up another thoughts only post just to give out a little bit of lore... No actions actually taken. Just thoughts and lore.

Also in case you people were wondering her species did not evolve from primates or for that matter goats. Think more... cows. Yea... So imagine cute cow horns more than anything. In fact, you can basically imagine her as that girl in KillamriX88's signature just with cute cow horns and you wouldn't be terribly far off.
This day was getting weirder by the moment. As her new comrade? flicked her superpower on and off like a switch Mia couldn't help but watch in amazement even as her horns flickered on and off irately like a confused light bulb. Just what the hell was that? Some sort of power amplification technique no doubt. But it was different than any she'd ever seen.

Unlike her own kayoken which drew on inner reserves essentially trading endurance for a short term burst of energy this strength seem to come out of nowhere. Was it being absorbed from the environment? Mia sensed nothing change in her surroundings. So that can't be it. Could it be that the power was always there, inside of her, and that this was simply some sort of limit remover or gear change? Certainly possible.

Mia had heard of such powers before, and in her own people as well. But she had newer seen anyone actually do it. Or did she? The way the Sayans aura changed as she powered up, the way her ki flickered through the air, even her rising hair all felt so familiar. And yet hard as she might try she could conjure up no memories of ever witnessing such a thing. Or could she?

Thing was that whilst she could really not remember oddly enough the very attempt, the very act of trying to identify that familiar feeling made her feel uneasy and uncomfortable, almost as if she was trying to push through something she really shouldn't. She felt the same way when trying to remember the much of this morning actually. Just what the hell happened there? And just how were the two related? These questions needed answering eventually but not today.

Still at least the concept was not unknown to her. For long ago her master spoke of such techniques when describing the ancient warlords which once ruled her world. His words echoed in her mind still: "That way lies great power, tiz true. But you must not seek it. For there lies only misery and great evil. So stick to the purity of kayoken and forget about it."

"Odd", Mia thought to her self. "This girl didn't look evil." She didn't feel evil either. "Could the old man have been wrong?" Than again, she is a primate that walked upright and could talk so nature and reality were clearly doing something interesting when they made her. Still, if that sort of power was really possible for her to achieve she would have to be careful.

For better or worse the old man always proved right in the end...
I joined this site which means returning to the hobby after something like a decade. Also I've been working from home for once and loving it. So much so that I have decided to only seek out such jobs in the future. Why anyone would ever prefer human contact over this is beyond me. Also I've NOT died of the plague. So that's good, I guess?
Really really fast would need specifications. Not intense scientific sort, just a... scale to stick with, or something like that.

Basically this but I can't figure out how to put it into words that fit a character sheet.

<Snipped quote by AlternateMan>
I am not sure how fast the flash is. But I know he can like bend space and time and crap and that's far from what I want.
I was basically thinking of a character that can dash from cover to cover avoiding a hail of bullets all cool style to get in close. And when she is close you expect such a character to draw a sword or SMG or something and just rip the enemy appart. But nope. Magnetic mine. Stick one of those suckers on the poor bots and jump away as they pop. Also like if we ever get to fight a giant robot she'd like wallrun up the thing leaving mines as she goes. :)

Ok, here is what I cooked up as a prototype. Sorry it took this long but the holidays and family took precedence. I still don't have a name but that always comes last to me. So don't worry.

Long story short (before I post the big text) I took a look at the team and we have one sniper, three melee girls one of which is more tanky, a short-mid range shooter and what appears to be a healer. So I figure I can slot my character into the distraction/AOE/support role. Stuff like deploying smoke, blowing enemies up, setting things on fire, blowing enemies up, fixing things, blowing things up, intellectually understanding the robot menace and blowing it up etc. but also like if the team needs someone to help with analyzing the situation as almost everyone shied away from INT.

Also feel free to reject me if you feel she does not fit in. I tried my best but am worried that I missed the mark severely.
Do us a favor and don't die. Like, seriously. Don't die. Dying is quite bad form. And it would make us sad.
