"The Faunus Rights revolution is still a noted event in recent history, despite it happening almost twenty years ago. Human-Faunus relations are still rough, but the populace is still trying to make things better for everyone. There seems to be hope, and a faction that grew from the ashes of the revolution silently edges progress forward.
Once again the Vytal festival is upon us, and once more the kingdoms of Remnant join together in Vale. Only the best will succeed, but what if succeeding was the only means for survival? Whispers around Beacon suggest that something underneath the tournament is happening, but nothing and be confirmed. The only things that can be done are compete, win, and prepare for the worst."
This RP will be taking place ten years before the events of RWBY, and will mainly be using information that had been revealed in all episodes and shorts before episode nine of season three, which has yet to air at the start of this roleplay. If any major revelations appear within the series in episode nine or any following, they will be handled and dealt with to maintain maximum coherency. This may mean altering a few things in the roleplay, or, if serious enough, will be disregarded from the roleplay if it contradicts us too much for a minor change to fix.
Now, like with every roleplay, there are basic ground rules, and a couple others that I want to address.
RULES
-No Godmodding
-No using OOC information In character (if we talk about how one character doesn't like X, and a character JUST SO HAPPENS to have that in their possession the next time s/he moves)
-If you get into an argument with another player, or have a problem with them, please, move it to PMs, or message me, or both!
-Unless in a conversation, you will only be able to post after two other people post after you do, three if you count the person that you are talking to.
-if you're reading this, answer this question at the bottom of the CS: What do you think your personal semblance/ability would be?
-Be realistic. Not just physically (s/he jumps into the air and does a million backflips as they send fire every which way before they land), but also mentally and emotionally. People don't just get up and act normal after a huge revelation or death.
-I know that RWBY is heavily influenced by anime style, but please keep things realistic in combat, at least realistic in the sense of Anime.
-At least one decent paragraph per post, please. \/
-Because fighting will happen, and I hope to have fun, quick paced fights, just one paragraph is all that I ask for, but please be mindful of other characters and their interactions.
-For really intense fights, I suggest using sites like TitanPad and PiratePad to make collaborative posts, which, as the GM and gamemaker, will try to oversee the best I can.

So, for this RP, this is how the bracket system is going to work.
The tourney will start with every character competing in a 2v2 battle. The winners of each battle will select one person to move up into the bracket, where the next fight is a fatal four way. The winners of that round move on to the final bracket, in which it will be one on one battles.
