@La Fleurwould be fun to go against tropes and have my male character be the smaller character and your female character (much larger and way more melee capable) protect him in a skirmish while he shoots of lightning arrows from behind :-)
@La Fleur Myabe I’ll have Dhaz go for the quarters guild with ya! I’m kinda waiting to see if Dark Light would be down for my crazy plot/thread idea I posed in which Dhaz would switch to working for the thieves guild because he needs the coin. But I’m in limbo, now leaning more toward quarters guild with your sword and board character though for sure! :-)
@Rockin Strings yeah for sure! What do u think of Killin training/teaching Dhaz’s talented grandson in the ways of sorcery (lengthy post of mine above)?

@Dark LightOoh, I like the idea of going after the same artifact in a dungeon to get into a guild. I randomly got an idea when you said that. At this point in his life, Dhaz does want to explore and adventure some more, but it's far more important to him and his family if he makes some coin. What about this RP idea: Dhaz and Aesthen stumble upon each other coincidentally going after the same artifact in the dungeon. Dhaz is trying to get into the Questers Guild, and recovering said artifact is his first job/successfully recovering it will allow him into The Questers Guild. But it's the same for Aesthen, if he turns in the artifact he gets into The Thieves Guild. Perhaps initially, Aesthen tricks Dhaz and makes off with the artifact, but then gets overwhelmed by some unexpected complication (ie: undead swarms collapse upon him to retrieve and return the artifact), and Dhaz is able to save him. After some discussion between the two, turns out The Questers Guild isn't going to give Dhaz any gold for turning in the artifact. But the Thieves Guild is going to allow Aesthen in with a very handsome reward (theives guild's pocket might be pretty heavy). After learning this, Dhaz and Aesthen decide to split the bounty down the middle and attempt to both join the Thieves Guild. Dhaz possibly burns a bridge and finds himself mixing with shady characters, but it's vital to him to make more coin quickly. Something like that sound fun at all Dark Light?
@Rockin Strings Oh, I just thought of a cool diff RP idea as well. Dhaz himself can only use rune magic/enchanting, like a static either active component or passive effect on weapons/arrows/etc. Dhaz's son displays 0 talent with sorcery/runic magic. But Dhaz's grandson displays immense sorcery abilities (well I was planning on making a thread about how he first displays it). Maybe Killin could help Dhaz and his son and grandson understand how to harness/use such magic. Has nothing to do with dungeon questing, but could be really cool/unique character development! Since Killin is so young he could be much more relatable to Dhaz's grandson too *shrug*
@Rockin Strings Ya it probably won't work out for our histories to be tied together since you're so young. And unlikely Killin's father would have run into Dhaz given the location of their home, that unnamed elven city. Even if that's close to Draydon, Dhaz would have no business going to/around a hidden/secret/forbidden elvish city (not that he's got a beef with elves like most dwarves do, but he just wouldn't head that way). But, if Killin's father was a renowned adventurer anywhere around Draydon Dhaz would have certainly at the very least heard of him. Powerful draconic mages have got to be very few and far between in the surrounding area :D But Dhaz would be very interested in observing Killin's powers in action, as Dhaz's own father and grandfather were powerful sorcerers, and he never fully understood how their power worked.

@Dark Light Since Aesthen's original home is Draydon, there's some chance Dhaz and Aesthen had done some odd job together in the past. But Aesthen looks quite young (especially from Dhaz's perspective), so it's unlikely they worked together doing roguish things because Dhaz did a lot of adventuring about a century ago. However, it seems like Aesthen is much more talented with urban rogue experience, in particular his tricky devices which seem to elude to expert trap disarming, etc. Would be fun to just RP them working together on some kinda dungeon delving expedition where someone centuries younger than Dhaz could teach him a thing or two!

@Dark Light Also, would your character be leaning more toward the Questers Guild (what Dhaz is going for), or the Thieves Guild? Either way we could make an initial RP that either involves just the Questers Guild or maybe the Thieves Guild/Questers Guild working together or bumping into each other in the same dungeon.
@Rockin StringsYa for sure! By coincidence my arcane archer, Dhaz has a bloodline of sorcery. Although he himself doesn't have any sorcerous abilities, his father and grandfather did. And Dhaz's grandson has displayed powerful sorcery potential. Dhaz can only use runic magic/enchantments, specializing in lightning. We could easily tie our histories together if you want! Dhaz has done lots of adventuring all over the place as a dungeoneer, trap disabler, monster/beast hunter, etc. If that helps, lemme know if u got any ideas.
@La FleurYa for sure I'm down for a duo! Any other peeps want to make it more than a duo?
I would love if any other PC's would either like to try and join the Questers Guild along with Dhaz (my character), or recruit him into the Questers Guild (if your PC already happens to be a Questers Guild member).

Furthermore, if anyone else wants to tie their backstories with Dhaz in some way so they already know each other (I feel like it's a lot of fun coming up with clever plot ties/avenues, why not just have two characters already know each other instead of always having somewhat awkward/forced introductions?) please post a reply or feel free to PM me too :D
