A little about myself and why Im here. Im an adult mid twenties with a serious addiction to fantasy stories and art, metaphysics and dimensions. Plus history and politics. My stories rarely involve fairy dust and rainbows. I aim to reflect the deepest and rawest parts of humanity into my work. Then have it reflect back to others.

Check out my album on here with my sketches.

I have a roleplay called Ascension.
A tale of 7 bloodlines. 5 elements combine with Dragons & Seraphim. Mix them as you will. Then explore and create in a changing world. I've out years of thought into this roleplay. If you're looking for a high fantasy with a active GM. If you love long term roleplays, ones where characters grow old and die. Here you go. roleplayerguild.com/topics/171791-asc…

Re-cap / Current Events

Last Night
A terrible battle was waged near the towns and capitals of every territory save for Nero. These cultists who attacked were concentrated on the land of Vrondi. The most decisive battle happened outside of Sunfire. This is where reports from Vrondi intelligence has said a man named Nuxta, claiming to be the lord of death appeared with unknown intentions. He managed to steal control of the Guardian, the King of Vrondi's sacred armor which acted on its own to protect their land. Reports of help from massive dragons of fire, the Aion, the Taxis, Vrondi's elite soldiers, and even the Aion's leader Mirror appearing to help did not defeat Nuxta.

Even further the Basilisk Queen, a massive serpent that has shape shifted into a more elegant but still monstrously large woman. Her descendant form was said to be for Nuxta, whom upon taking the Guardian armor has grown to a formidable size. He, the Basilisk, and a mysterious masked man had departed the scorched battlefield upon the rising sun. None knows why they left and all fear another attack on the incoming night.

This night has prompted the world to act. Hidden powers all over are awaking to either defend what it here or to take what they want to further their goals.

The Royal Meeting
Within the morning hours of the new day the royals of each land rise to make their way to the Vrondi castle. There they will meet and speak on the horrors of the earlier nights. Each King and Queen will be attending and arriving in style was what most of them did. Fotians by airship, Gaians by dragon, Tearians by magic and technology. A festival is also being held within the capital walls of Vrondi. This is to celebrate the unified wills of the descendants of all over the lands.

The quantity of quality is close to bursting as people frolic in the sunlight. Attempting to heal from the lives lost and forever changed last night. So far the show is being displayed both on the streets and inside the halls of the castle. Meanwhile the King and Queens have all joined a room to speak in private on what will be done about protecting their well being, hopefully, together.

Ziton the Seeker, a thief of renowned bounty is delving into the dark dungeon prison of Vrondi. Underground it lays housing the most evil of villains. But something else is down there too. Locked away forever. Ziton seeks to awaken this secret.

The Blood Banquet
In contrast to the Royal Meeting there is a Blood Banquet being held. Here blood flows freely into the eager mouths of the Nayu royals None had chose to go to the bright sunny home of the Vrondi. Instead they sell their seraphim slaves, purchase the finest ones for their tastes, and meet other royals who enjoy a good time like a Nayu. Exclusive only to the rich and a masquerade mask is worn by most here. However in secret there are diabolical plots.

The Banquet is being visited by the Therosi. They seek a blood vile of the original seraphim of this world. The Aion also hide within these castle walls. They seek to crash this party and save as many seraphim possible, they too seek the vile of the seraphim blood. The final known group are the Dolofon. Allied to the King of Nero they are protectors of the blood vile and their one goal is to kill the leader of the Therosi whom is said to be attending this party in secret. Yet none knows who they are.

Aela the Candor, a thief of almost endless bounty is targeting the vile as well. The race is on and hell is merely moments away from breaking loose.
Aelithia 'Aela' Matia
The Candor
--------------------------------------------------------

All was going well. Aela got to have fun with Paladin and Nikki was likely analyzing her behavior to learn from it. Or at least this was a joke in Aela's mind, it being true or not was unknown to her. Though if she found it to be so it would be her delight to teach curious minds. It was fun to be a part of this posse. They were without the rough exterior and hardy nature. Instead she was the roughest one around. So when they went on about the specs of the operation they were trying to deploy she kept to herself. Only half heartily nodding in agreement.

The man in charge gave a displeased response with the initial plan, even as the Carrion was on its way to the destination the mercenary pointed to. She found it a pleasure to see freelancers of her trade getting handed such advanced and rare technology to work with. Technology with a mind that is easy to be friends with, getting on Nikki's good side doesn't hurt. Their pilot liked Aela more than the old man. At least that's what she figured, if she was observing Aela was clearly the most fun. She felt at home making plans on how to hit a place up. Though the plan didn't sit well with her either. Far too indirect.

She gave a audible hum of agreement with Savis as he interjected on the idea and presented two options. She cocked her head back with a smirk at the question he asked. A wise-ass expression of 'you know better' was translated by Aela's face. "Well you know my answer..." She teased, sitting with a hand holding up her head as her elbow lean on the arm rest before continuing. "I think we shouldn't be afraid to go in. But seeing as how there's only a few of us ready to go out guns blazing.." She gave a gun gesture with her free hand pointed to the destination screen before lowering it back to the arm rest.

"It's always easier to get in smooth you see. But after a little while it will be time to go in rough." She winked at the last part. Her smile growing as she sat back to read their responses.

Bloodline Affinities

Review the Bloodline trait tree to grasp a better understanding of what your character can do with what bloodline. For a explanation see below.

Conjuration: Each conjuration spell belongs to one of five subschools. Conjurations bring manifestations of objects, creatures, or some form of energy to you (the summoning subschool), actually transport creatures from another plane of existence to your plane (calling), heal (healing), transport creatures or objects over great distances (teleportation), or create objects or effects on the spot (creation). Creatures you conjure usually, but not always, obey your commands.
A creature or object brought into being or transported to your location by a conjuration spell cannot appear inside another creature or object, nor can it appear floating in an empty space. It must arrive in an open location on a surface capable of supporting it.
The creature or object must appear within the spell’s range, but it does not have to remain within the range.
Matching Bloodlines:Nayu, Sol, Oro, Lassa, Tyro, Seraph

Enchantment: Enchantment spells affect the minds of others, influencing or controlling their behavior.
All enchantments are mind-affecting spells. Two types of enchantment spells grant you influence over a subject creature.
Matching Bloodlines: Seraphim, Tyro, Lassa, Oro, Nayu

Abjuration: Abjuration spells are protective in nature, though some of them have aggressive uses. They create magical barriers, negate harmful effects, harm trespassers, or banish creatures to other planes of existence.
Matching Bloodlines: Sol, Seraph

Transmutation: The transmutation school of magic consisted of spells that changed the physical properties of some creature, thing, or condition. The school was previously known as alteration.
Matching Bloodlines: Nayu, Sol, Oro, Dragon

Evocation: Evocation spells manipulate energy or tap an unseen source of power to produce a desired end. In effect, they create something out of nothing. Many of these spells produce spectacular effects, and evocation spells can deal large amounts of damage.
Matching Bloodlines: Lassa, Oro, Tyro, Nayu, Sol, Dragon

Divination: Divination spells enable you to learn secrets long forgotten, to predict the future, to find hidden things, and to foil deceptive spells.
Matching Bloodlines:Seraph, Sol, Nayu

Illusion: Illusion spells deceive the senses or minds of others. They cause people to see things that are not there, not see things that are there, hear phantom noises, or remember things that never happened.
Matching Bloodlines: Seraph, Sol, Nayu
@Ciaran

Excellent, it's accepted. I just wish to see how she learned her spells and what level is her bloodline powers at. Like Earth/gravel manipulation. You can add that in experience later summarizing her greatest accomplished feats, or how capable she is with it in general.

I think I have about enough people now for this next story arc. If anyone else is interested let me know before its too late.
Did I just see a gurren Laggan reference ?
So far I haven't found people not playing their characters as they wrote them to be a problem. The personality of a character is what makes someone want to roleplay as them. From my recent experience. It could be that when I GM my RP Ascension a part of understanding the world is to have a characters personality run up against the culture of the world. A cheeky thief for example would have to take a liking to areas that are not heavily guarded. This will require a understanding of what parts of the world is vulnerable to thievery. In this way personality meshes will with character creation and world building.
@Taytay

Great! I can't wait to see your character. :3
Ziton&Baqar

"Tch." Ziton sucked his teeth at the sight of the keyblade. It resonated with.. something. It was the only thing able to kill these things for good? These two things were intricately connected then. No doubt, in Ziton's mind, getting closer to the source of that weapon will get him closer to the source of these.. heartless. Ziton's eyes peered over the keyblade with a menacing stare of desire. Baqar was still in awe of it all. He knew little of what was happening but was excited to see such elegant and noble looking individuals. Though he took in no thought on his own ragged attire.

Ziton stepped forward toward where the first keyblade was shown. He then stopped as they began to somewhat explain the multiverses. This briefly took his focus away from stealing the weapon. He rolled his eyes. "No matter what is said.. I'll find out what this all is about on my own." He then looked at the young wizard with a quizzical look that turned into a expressive grin. Inviting the comment on his clairvoyance. "It would seem I am needed." Ziton spoke softly. "How...?" Asked Baqar to no one in particular. But Ziton turned and looked down at him with a happy smile. "Finding out.. that's the fun part." He turned back to the wizard with a raised head allow his strands of hair to fall out of his face.

He gripped his hat and bowed gently. "I am Ziton the Seeker. I am the one you mention. I hope to be of use in our current turmoil." He then turned around to look at the other guests here. It was clear a few were from alternate worlds than this one and his own. But none seemed to resonate with anything he found necessary for furthering his plans. The wizard on the other hand intrigued him greatly.

Baqar however was eyeing the bright colors and designs of a young girls hair. Pink was rare in all worlds except for hers maybe. Whilst Baqar could barely understand the mulituniversal plot that was going on he could tell these were interesting people who seemed like a rarity in his world.
I made a slight change to Divination. It is: Divination spells enable you to learn secrets long forgotten, to predict the future, to find hidden things, and to foil deceptive spells.

<Snipped quote by Rai>
This would be combining the Seraphim's manipulation of spiritual energies with the Nayu's knowledge of shadows and darkness. I was thinking this would be an 80% Seraphim/20% Nayu, who had been raised by Naru and trained by them. It would also combine elements of Divination, allowing for the scouring of the target's soul; Enchantment, to apply a persistent effect against the target; and either Illusion or Conjuration, depending on whether the thing which is drawn forth would be just a mental effect or an actual physical construct they'd have to face.

Unfortunately having only 20% of Nayu blood will not allow you to manipulate shadows. It will gift you their Night Vision, which is lack luster to what you were going for. What you hit here is something I was split on but I've recently made my decision to restrict certain elements to only those with that level of bloodline %. Also back stories will not be accounted for in the spells you make.

You can however still manipulate peoples souls in a way to get what you mostly were trying to achieve. Negative emotions or bad memories are not a Nayu trait or a shadow or darkness trait. It's more of a Sol mind manipulating trait. To tap into ones soul I've decided is merely delving into their power source for spells and such. Not their thoughts. But you can get something similar to it.

This prompted me to update the spells some.

Spells: 2 Exp per spell. The spells must match within your bloodlines affinity. If your bloodline % does not reach a high enough percentage within a bloodline it may not allow you to cast certain spells. For example: 80% Lassa allows water conjuration. This will allow spells that summon water. Without it you will not be able to summon water of any kind.
Enhancing ones spell even further costs another 2 Exp. Examples of this are spells that have more than one effect.
