Azzurra didn't seem fazed by the black-haired teen's nonchalant reply, but retorted in the same flat tone as before. "Right, midnight. In case you aren't aware, this is the time when most of us do this thing called 'sleeping'. So I'd appreciate if you people would either keep it down, or resume killing each other in the day."

She didn't care to press for details. Supernatural individuals seemed to often have issues to settle with one another. If only they were being considerate towards others who were not involved in their petty fights when doing so. Even a couple of them present at the current scene looked as if they had been unwillingly dragged into the situation. Well, for them, now would be the best time to book it. Azzurra herself wasn't planning on staying longer than needed, as she had only come out in hopes of stopping the racket that could be heard from her dormitory.

She then turned her attention to a dark-skinned teenage girl in a green sweater who had just arrived at the scene. From the way she wasn't running in the opposite direction screaming after witnessing the supernatural activity that was taking place, Azzurra assumed that she was also one of them. She addressed the girl with a straight face after she asked for directions.

"I'll be heading back that way," she told her, gesturing in the direction of the university. "From there we have a path that leads to the city. You can come with me if you want to."

Would a character like Azzurra be able to hear Jyden at this moment? I assumed she didn't earlier cause Azzurra isn't a telepath.

Azzurra cautiously navigated her way through the forest, drawing closer to the occasional bolts of lightning that appeared above the trees. They soon ceased, however, and this sudden halt in activity caused her to stop in confusion. The period of silence then allowed her to faintly pick up some voices in the distance. Whoever was responsible for the earlier disturbance had to be up ahead. After all, it was in that direction where the strange lightning had stopped. Azzurra resumed walking, quickening her pace as she approached the source of the voices.

She emerged into an area littered with fallen trees, and among them were two teenage boys. A third individual, armored, hooded, and obviously nowhere near human, then appeared at the scene. This one was heading straight for the youth with the long black hair. Extending a hand out, Azzurra released a stream of her magic at the ground which shot up as large walls of ice between the aggressive parties, hoping to stop the scuffle. A purple and green creature then suddenly fell from nearby branches, though, she only took one glance and didn't think much about him, as he didn't seem to be involved in whatever was happening.

Azzurra took a couple more steps forward with her arms folded, and cleared her throat.

"Do you gentlemen know what time it is?" She demanded in a voice that was flat, yet rang through the area.

Azzurra's regular insomnia was bad enough as it is, and the thumping noises that echoed from the forested area right next to the college dormitory was making the night significantly worse than it already was. No matter how drained she was from the day's classes and activities, going to bed at night was still almost always an ordeal for her. The young sorceress lay in her dimly-lit quarters curled under the covers, making an attempt to calm herself and tune out the commotion that was taking place outside.

Deep breaths, Azzurra... you'll be drifting off to sleep in no time. Just relax...

A particularly loud crash made her bolt up from her lying position. Who was she kidding? She couldn't do this! Eventually letting frustration take over, she threw the covers aside and strode up to the window, looking out over the greenery in hopes of discovering the source of the ruckus. She soon caught sight of it, raising an eyebrow at the unnatural flashes of lightning coming from the trees. Could this be the work of someone... like herself? Also, if it was, what were they doing?

Figuring that she wasn't going to get any sleep either way, Azzurra pulled on her jacket and left the dormitory, heading out towards the forest to check out the possibly supernatural activity.

Appearance: Rex is a Hispanic tanned, brown-eyed 16-year old of medium build. He has short, spiked hair, and his signature outfit is a red and orange jacket paired with a pair of fitting, somewhat circuit-patterned black pants.

Personality: Rex is an overconfident, impulsive, rebellious and headstrong teenager, though, he can also be selfless and empathetic towards others. He is also rather intelligent and quick-witted, and tends to crack jokes. He is pretty expressive, especially concerning his need to blow off steam when the pressure gets too much to handle.

History: Rex was born into a family of brilliant scientists who were involved in the Nanite Project. Nanites are microscopic machines that were originally created to eliminated diseases and starvation across the world. However, the project was later sabotaged by Rex’s older brother to keep some extremely powerful nanites from falling into the wrong hands. The explosion killed their parents, and caused nanites to spread across the planet and bind to the molecular structure of every living thing in the world. This was known as the Nanite Event. Nanites are normally harmless. However, when activated, they mutate the biology of their hosts, giving them grotesque physical features and/or special abilities. These mutated organisms are called EVOs (Exponentially Variegated Organisms).

Prior to the Nanite Event, ten-year-old Rex was critically injured in an industrial accident. He was injected with fully programed nanites that successfully saved his life, but also gave him new, extraordinary abilities. Rex became amnesiac after the Nanite Event, his memory loss assumed to have been caused by the explosion. He was later found and taken in by Providence, the organisation responsible for dealing with hostile EVOs. Rex lived and grew with the organisation after that, at the same time working for them as their secret weapon to fight and cure EVOs.

Powers/Abilities: Unlike other EVOs, Rex has control over his nanites. He has the ability to grow various types of machines from his body which he uses for offense, defence and transportation. He can use his nanites to interface with technology and can communicate with and control it, making him a technopath. His nanites also give him enhanced healing abilities. Rex can cure EVOs by extracting their active nanites (this last one probably wouldn't matter in this RP, but oh well).
