After climbing a couple more flights of stairs, Wyn emerged from the access doorway onto the open balcony and made a beeline for the nearest deck chair, throwing himself onto the sturdy piece of furniture with an exaggerated sigh of satisfaction as he set his coffee cup onto the side table nearby. The breeze was gentle and refreshing, carrying the earthy scents of the forest surrounding the lodge. The lake was still visible beyond the greenery, its calm water reflecting the star-littered expanse of the night sky. The last term break did not seem too long ago, during which he had been right here, albeit with completely different company and without the substantial weight of uncertainty dampening the mood.

He then raised an eyebrow in surprise when he heard Roxy's voice making a comment about the view from behind. Her decision to join him up here was one he had not expected, considering her clear displeasure with his presence the entire time they had been together. However, he chose not to articulate this observation in an attempt to keep the awkwardness of their current dynamic at the very minimum, instead reaching for his coffee again and raising it towards her as a playful toast as she approached.

"Indeed, quite an experience for anyone who grew up in areas polluted by night light, which would be most of us at this point," he pointed out casually before taking another sip of his coffee. He glanced at her as he set the cup down once again, recalling the reason she had ended up in this mess and imagining all the times she likely had to be living rough. "Though, I suppose you've had your fair share of... stargazing opportunities."
