Tell him my undertaker joke, probably.
I personally attribute it to the attitude of the old community here. It was a lot more savage, almost xenophobic, and hierarchical and drama-filled back then. Hell, from what I hear it had softened up a lot even by the time I came along, after Mammoth and others were finally banned. The rep has lasted and gets passed down to new members. The Guild Remembers.

Halo's right, it's just that the rep carries over. People remember bad things seven-times-longer than good things (according to something I read in a psychology textbook at some point). OldGuild Spam was a bad neighborhood, home to the scum-of-the-forum, with very little mod intervention except in extreme cases (that we don't talk about, shhh).

But yeah, people remember that Spam when they think of Spam. Most of them probably poked their heads in once and then never again, so they don't know how much it's changed.

Recomposes. They are covers, after all.

Sorry, recomposes. There's a reason I just listen to music instead of doing cool stuff like this guy.
WAIT I FOUND MY FAVORITE

So this guy, PelleK, is from Norway and is probably the most amazing cover artist I've ever heard.

This guy not only sings (with a four-octave vocal range) he composes recomposes each music track himself. I'm just blown away, I've been listening to him all evening. If you've ever loved music you will love this guy.

In addition to various Disney covers he also sings in Japanese and does So. Many. Others. Each. One. Is. Perfect. Omq.

Pro-tip: Listen to all these and more on Spotify.

Mods have standards? Why was I not informed of this?

This is why they keep you in Spam. With the rest of us depraved individuals.
Tired... oh so tired =_=

Shit post is shitty but it's up. Night people.

Hey, Rynek can always get a laugh out of me XD Good post! Glad to see it!

Ditto, Rynek is hilarious. At times it feels almost like he pushes the fourth wall and it puts such a great spin on his character.
I want to have a personal clone army loyal only to me.

Granted, but then your son whom you did not know of becomes a Jedi knight and is almost killed by your master, so you fight him and in the end it is your downfall.

I wish I was Spider-Man.
It seems that not everyone is so keen on going to war though. As Praeth pointed out, there are still plenty of more threatening nations in the south to be too worried about Gemminia. First and foremost the breaking of peace means that the Gems no longer have Drakken protection from outsiders. Other than the rebels, Gemminia probably doesn't have much in the way of military forces. Other than the overly-eager-to-conquer warlords shoving their way across the border to get dibs on the land, most Drakken probably won't be too concerned about organizing a real invasion. A few raids now and then but right now the country as a whole doesn't present much of a threat.

The Gem brides, on the other hand, ought to be very worried about their homes and families suddenly being open to attack not only from their former protectors but all the enemies the Drakkens had shielded them from thus far. Gemminia is a lush territory and full of resources, I'm sure plenty of other nations will be eager to get their hands on it. Gemminia will be torn apart the way a pack of hungry wolves tears apart the carcass of a deer. It won't be conquered, but cut into pieces and divided among the surrounding countries. As for what will become of the Gems themselves, I cannot say.
