Krista looked around the room, reflecting on what they were just told. She saw some cadets her age, but more older than her. She decided to take the initiative and introduce herself.

She cleared her throat. "Hello everybody," she began to walk in front of the group before continuing. "My name is Krista Reynolds. Kris for short. I pilot the Archer. I think it would be worthwhile for us to introduce ourselves to each other before we start going for each others throats." With a smirk, she paused to let the 'joke' sink in. "I don't care who becomes the team leader as long as they can handle being the leader. I noticed that they didn't say the person that scored the most kills became the squad leader, and they basically said they are watching us right now. I'd wager they are watching to see how we act right now for when they finally choose the team leader. Instead of everybody going at each other in a free-for-all, I think it might be best if, after we go around in introduce ourselves, that we have everybody who wants to lead the team step forward and pick sides, kinda like in school dodgeball." She scanned the group for their reactions. "So, sound like a good idea?"

As far as I have seen, its familiarity and expectation. For example: Archer, a quadruped design I would have gone with if Rose had been denied, I think would move like a tank. If the driver was previously a tank operator, it would be easy to do with maximum synchro but someone without even a drivers license would loose their mind trying to figure it all out.

And this was my 'go to' big robot influence. It later got a big boost from 'Big O'

I'm gonna agree here. I would not be surprised by a low starting synchro rate for the Archer, though I hope that isn't the case. That being said, I think the designation of "Most Dangerous" would heavily depend on the match-up. The ones that would be able to mess with the Archer the most would be the melee Framewerks, as they exploit the Archer's major weakness.

My main Mecha influences are Gundam (NGE was a bit before my time), and Metal Gear Solid.

@Ariamis I was a bit too young for the show when it aired, but I can't deny how iconic it is. Right now I am just waiting with baited breath for the IC

@AriamisI have never seen NGE but I am getting heavy hints that I should at least read a the wikipedia page for it.
