Medieval Pokemon Idea

I'm thinking of a character who leads/is a new recruit in a group of dragon riders. Who act as mercenaries. Since Gen 1 and Gen 2 didn't have many dragon types outside Dratini's line, and maybe one or two stand outs. So maybe since they're a mercenary group they'd have dragons from different regions. Like Haxorus. Or the Deino line. Just an idea.

Though have a new recruit be a royal dragon knight as also an idea.

Weapons:
- Long Arm Sniper Rifle: Back on the frontier's early days the Long Arm was the go to rifle for hunting. Later years saw it modified for war. The Current Long Arm's design specs are based heavy towards long range sniping, with heatscope. Samuel's Long Arm is modified with a 3 round clip, instead of the usual 5 round clip. His reasoning being that it's cheaper.
- Short Arm Repeated Chamber Pistol: The Short Arm is a small firearm, used for quick-draw dueling. While not as accurate as Samuel's prefered gun the Long Arm, it's better to have a weapon designed for short range dueling at time.
Gear:
- Thermal visor: A standard thermal tracking system designed to track targets at a long range. Helping his long range approach to solving problems.

Armament:
Rocket Pod - A simple Rocket Pod. Holds at the moment only 18 rockets, with no extra ammo in sight. Due to the model being discontinued.
Utility:

But since we've got a few grizzled vets, I may make the scrappy youngster of the team in way over his head. Or the civilian without training who managed to get his hands on a suit. (AKA the Kikuchiyo of the group.)

Honestly, I'm kinda stuck on this sudden idea of the school bully developing some kind of power and instead of becoming a criminal like one would expect. He uses it instead to try and do a whole 180 with his life. Going from crook and jerk to somebody people can be proud of. In between using his power to make some quick cash in a legal sense.

I like all the ideas so far. But... I'm still looking for a Co-GM. (Mostly to discuss time period ideas or even power level ideas. Including stuff like criminal gangs and overall villains.)

I'll have a rough draft for an OOC soon enough.

Flintlocks where the most advanced thing at the time. We can discuss weapon stuff later when you hash the idea out more.

My idea for a hero was a guy with the power to communicate with insects and improve them. Also he doesn't age.

We'll discuss this in more depth once the power level is made more clear. I like the idea, but it could be restrictive depending on how the setting goes.

Keep in mind I'm still deciding on the period. At the moment I'm pondering near the end of the baroque period, somewhere around 1750. So summoning a nuclear weapon is kinda out of the question.

I could have a good ol' crack at it. I could probably even use the powerset of an old character I'd like to recycle: HIGH-POWER THINKING.

Depends primarily on how that works. I may need some examples, since having 2018 tech in 1750 would probably be a bit... Well dangerous. Depending on how this ends up evolving.

The Burning Sword and The Seven Rings (Loosely based on Sonic and the Secret Rings) (Interest check)

Out of curiosity, is this mostly OCs, or are there Sonic characters being reinterpreted into certain roles. Since this is clearly inspired by the Sonic Story Book series, it seems that most characters are just going to be reinterpretations of characters from 1001 Arabian Tales to begin with.
