Can my master play as a real life figure of the time? (i.e. Anne Frank, Winston Churchill, Erwin Rommel, etc.)
Sure. I mean as long as it doesn't end up being utterly ridiculous. Think of it as tentative approval, and I'll want you to let me know who you make before you even start work on the bio. Since depending on who you choose it can be a hard no, or a soft yes. @vn2202 and I will probably be asking that all bios be ready by the 10th.
If this gets interest I'll join up. I won't lie, I feel having such a huge cast may be a misstep. But here's hoping it all works.
Actually the players will be around 7 (7 others are NPCs I can control or a Co-GM if they're interested.), and I can shrink the masters down to 7 total if we don't even get that many. Remember, everybody is playing two characters, so that cuts the cost of having to recruit 14+
Looks good, I'm up for playing. Do you have a preference between canon and new servants?
I have a preference for new servants. But if you're really stretched and nothing comes to you, I guess canons aren't that bad. Though if you end up wanting one that's also used in Fate/Go or something, you're pretty fine as long as you don't just copy directly from the wiki.
Just don't directly copy one used in the anime and you're pretty good.
One thing you can do is take a pre-established character and put them in a different role. Like putting Gilgamesh in Saber. (Example.)
Welcome, to Germany. The month? August. The year? 1939. The Mage association has watched for years as the once broken will of the German people has been restored. Collected, gathered, and rebuilt after the destruction of their pride. And yet, it's clear this new pride is made on the dehumanization of others. Not that the mages care, since depending on how high up you go the ladder, they couldn't care less about anything below them. Makes them a perfect fit in most ways for the cruelty of the Nazi Regime. But for now, the invasion of Poland hasn't come, and nobody has realized the dangers to come.
Introducing Dr. M. Nobody really knows his names. But he has a claim to make. He has a holy grail. It's not the true holy grail in Fuyuki, but even then a grail at all attracts a lot of ears. Powerful mage families, and poor mage families trying to make their mark. Dr. M is not a mage. But he does have an interest in the grail wars. He's not magical, or powerful, but he has a grail. Where did he get it? Who really made it? Barely matters when the wish and the servants are real.
But this Grail War, is unique. Instead of Seven Servants, there are fourteen. And fourteen Masters to command them. A massive free for all if there ever was one. You though, you're one of the few to get involved in this miracle grail war.
The year if 1939, and war is on the horizon. The Nazi Party is interested in the grail wars, and the mysterious Dr. M refuses to show his face. It's a war, with fourteen factions.
Do you want to play a game?
How we play our games- _______________ - Everybody plays Master, and Servant. You are not the Master for the Servant you make, but you will be randomly assigned a team, though you can ask for a specific partner if you feel strongly one way. Why? Because it allows for a better balance. By having players being both Master and Servant it allows them to interact with characters on a wider scale, without having to worry about getting into trouble if one person doesn't post for a week. It also means that if one character dies, they aren't out just yet. So they can keep going.
- There are 14 masters and 14 servants. Those that are not filled will become NPC masters and servants. Why? Mostly to allow for PVE events. Like Caster and his Master going on their serial killer stuff in Fate/Zero or Assassin in Fate/Apocrypha. It also means that if Player A is getting really comfy in their base, something can be done to disrupt that, and keep people from stagnating.
- There are 2 of each class. This is due to the 14 masters. As such, it allows for two sabers, or two assassins. But not three. Why? Mostly because I'm aware that sometimes people may prefer one class over another. As such, it can be a bit of a mess if somebody claims Archer, and then doesn't want to make an archer. So it eases up on that a bit.

EDIT: For Beginners The Holy Grail War is about 7+ Masters and their Servants competing for a wish from the holy grail. They can only do this if they're the last team standing. Each Master gets 3 Command Seals, which can be used to boost a servent's power (Burn a seal for x2 power boost), command them to do something they normally wouldn't do (Kill an innocent or use an ability they dislike), or even kill themselves (It can happen.) There are seven Servant classes. Saber, Archer, Lancer, Berserker, Assassin, Caster, and Rider. Saber: Uses a sword, often a knight. Archer: Bow and Arrow. Often has a powerful projectile attack. Lancer: Speedy guy with spear. Berserker: Angry super strong, usually used to raise the stats of a servant that would otherwise be weak. Assassin: Stabby class that can be hard to track. Caster: Magic users Rider: Rides in some kind of vehicle and is generally a conqueror (some exceptions.)
Each Servant possesses a noble phantasm. Usually based after something they did in life, or a weapon they wield. Ex: Blackbeard had a ship, thus he can summon his ship and have it fly around. Or King Arthur had Excalibur, thus it now shoots lasers. Basically, the more famous a hero is, the more powerful their noble phantasm is. The older the better.

【Nation】Empire of Stone 【Birthplace】The Forest of Steel - Located in the Land of Earth
【Alignment/Affiliation/Organization】Nobility of the Empire of Stone
【Clan/Bloodline】 Iwasaki Clan - The year? Who knows. The Iwasaki clan were a nomadic clan, known primarily, and only for their ability to access a powerful kekkei genkai. But due to their poor choices they made enemies left and right, and thus spent the clan's formative years traveling across the area that would one day become the Empire of Stone. They didn't keep a written history, so much of their early history is sadly lost. It wasn't until the founding of the Empire of Stone that the history of Iwasaki clan was formally composed. Despite this, the clan was still mostly unknown, as they underpreformed in comparison to other clans that possessed the steel release. It wasn't until the discovery of the Kinzoku konchū that the Iwasaki clan managed to rise out of the dirt. The metal eating beetles became just as much a part of the clan as the dogs in the Inuzuka clan. Utilizing their metal eating insects, they managed to push themselves over the other metal clans, and in the end the clan infighting resulted in the Iwasaki consuming the other clans, leaving them as the primary noble clan to possess the steel style release. Under the leadership of Soshi Iwasaki the clan participated in the first great ninja war. Where their successes revolved around assassination. The clan often butted heads with the Kamizuru clan, and the two clans eventually began to merge together. Sharing their insect knowledge and special clan techniques. Eventually resulting in a complete merger, that ended with the Iwasaki clan's name continuing on as the Kamizuru vanished as their final daughter joined with the Iwasaki. During the second ninja war, with the expansion of war machines, the Iwasaki clan's metal devouring beetles shone. By sneaking into the enemy area, they would often sabotage enemy weapons by having their insects destroy the infrastructure of the enemy's weapons. During the destruction of the land of clouds, the Iwasaki played a vital part, and were raised to a noble family as thanks for their contributions. Since then, the Iwasaki have been one of the Empire of Stone's prized tactical clans.
【Rank】 Jounin / Assassination Squad
【Chakra Nature】 Earth, Fire, Steel
【Appearance/Wardrobe】 Like most soldiers of the Empire of Stone, the nobility wears their uniforms in the most pristine way possible. The nobility is seperated from the common soldier by a unique insignia on the length of their arm, which works to highlight them to their soldiers, without making them stand out as targets. In public, outside of military service, Eita is a well dressed gentleman. Often seen wearing some degree of fine wear, his most distinguished article of clothing is a cloak. A multilayered cloak that resembles the fluff of a greater moth. This outfit, despite its many layers and flourishes is designed in mind to breath. Giving Eita plenty of space to utilize his clan insects. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 【Personality】 The Nobility of the Empire There is something about the way Eita moves. The way he looks at others that just tells you that he's nobility. This is the sign of the noble clans. Raised from birth to present themselves to the public as if actors on a stage. To never slouch, to always maintain eye contact, to always be generous to those who serve well. In a way, Eita is more of a puppet to his family, with a finally crafted personality born from a selective training program. In a way, he is everything the empire adores in its nobility. Power, a crafty mind, and a loyalty to the empire. A loyalty to the emperor above all. Because what is the empire without its emperor? The Intelligence of an Assassin Eita learned to harden his heart to certain things long ago, even before the war. His heart was frozen to the plights of the empire's enemies. No matter how just, noble, or kind they may be, he swallowed his objections, and killed. Eita's coldness allows him to approach problems with an analytical perspective. By approaching each problem in the sense of value per life, it is difficult in a way for Eita to see the human aspect of his actions, or his victims. But, at the very least he keeps it quick. He wastes little, and his kills are as swift as he can make them. Ambition is Evil The old saying is that ambition is evil. Looking to a higher position, and fighting to claim it can often be a path that leads one down dark corridors. Despite his current noble position, Eita is ambitious. He desires to be in a position of appreciation, and the approval of the emperor himself. In a way, this ambition could be evil, but Eita doesn't care. After all, there is nothing wrong with ambition. It's foolish self destruction that comes hand in hand with ambition that is a danger. A danger that Eita believes he has avoided. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 【History】 We begin with a child born in a forest of metal, much like the insects he controls The Forest of Steel lays deep within the Empire of Earth. A kind of realm so alien from our own that the mind just can't comprehend it. For centuries, each child of the Iwasaki has been born in this alien land of steel as if to introduce them to the world in a way that they will never be surprised by anything else. Because once you see the Forest of Steel, your mind refuses to accept anything else. That's the story anyway. The young Eita didn't see that Forest again until he was five, when he was brought back to become a vessel for the Kinzoku. His his insides were changed, his body reconstructed, and for over a month he was left in the clan chambers until his body had fully adjusted to the necessary changes. Host to the Kinzoku It was odd at first, having to adjust to the changes to his body. More so having to utilize his Kekkei Genkai as a means to grow the metals that the insects lived off. By growing it over his skin, and learning how to manipulate them to his fullest extent. As nobility, he learned from his clan, inside the forest of steel. Soon enough, as a year passed, Eita was adding his own tree of metal to the illustrious collection. But more so, he learned to use the clan's insects and manipulate their growth. Soon enough, he was drafted for the war at the age of ten. Weapons of War are not a Man Makes In war everybody learns their place. For Eita he learned his role first as a form of sabotage. The beetles did the hard work. The task of commanding them, sending them in, destroying the machines of war. That was easy to him. After all, he knew how to do that. Then they wanted him to kill. Eita refused. He worked behind the lines, trying to avoid the killing, but eventually he did. It was a man from Konoha. A fire shinobi. He was terrified. Fighting against the Kinzoku as they bit him, forced him to the ground... Eita drove a spear of metal right through his face, killing him and ending his misery. From there, he was tasked to do more of that. With his insects allowing him to spy on the enemy, he was made into an assassin. Tasked more and more to kill shinobi of the land of fire, and even then more shinobi from all over. By the time he was 15, he had killed more men and woman on these missions than he could count. Not because he couldn't count that high, but because he was bored of it by that point. It was just a mission. Just another mission for the boy with a heart as cold as steel. War ends when he is only just becoming a man The day the war ended, was the day after Eita turned 18. For eight of his formative years, he had spent them as an assassin. Killing, sabotaging, and giving to the empire. And now, as the war ended, he had to find a reason to keep going. Not just for the sake of living and the empire, but a personal goal. A goal to aid the empire further, with his body and blood as the mortar. But to do so, he must not be complacent with his role. No, he must strive higher. The new world... That offers such an opportunity. Especially if he is to represent the Iwasaki clan. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
【Special Traits】 + Natural Born Leader - Despite his sometimes rude behavior, the ability to lead and make difficult choices, as well as motivate others, is something the Iwasaki clan has always fostered. Eita just so happens to be one with a natural talent for inspiring some to push themselves. + Remarkable Perception - Many claim the Sharingan to be unsurpassed, but Eita is remarkably perceptive on his own. He can pinpoint key details in a fight even in a mess of high speed action. This is a key skill when manipulating groups of insects. + Strategic Prowess - Pattern Recognition is important for a strategist. Eita has studied patterns and common military tactics, as well as advanced tactics. His primary tactic tends to revolve around fear, by utilizing his insects. + Encyclopedic Knowledge of Insects - A life spent around beetles and insects has given Eita a great breadth of knowledge regarding how to control and communicate with insects of many varieties.
Kinzoku - A rare breed of insect discovered over five centuries ago in the land that would one day be Iwagakure. The Kinzoku Konchu, or Kinzoku, are a unique breed of insect that lived under the earth. They would cluster around ore deposits and eat the metal deep underground. But, due to the difficulty of finding ore veins as time went on, the species was slowly becoming extinct. The insect was discovered by the Iwasaki clan, and the clan's metal producing ability was used to attract and tame the insect, creating a symbiotic relationship. As the clan could utilize their chakra to create metal object, they began to house the insects alongside themselves. With the age of iron coming, the Kinzoku became a powerful weapon of the Iwasaki clan. Utilizing their abilities, the insects could strip the armor off a shinobi in seconds, or eat kunai right out of the air. Almost like airborne piranha. Through the years, and selective breeding, the Kinzoku developed a unique neurotoxin. The process of which is transmitted by a needle on their rear. The toxin, while not particularly powerful from one insect, is a hallucinogenic. It can make it difficult to focus on objects, and screws with the targets depth perception. The more times a target is stung, the worse the hallucinations become. And in its highest doses can cause vomiting. Thought that can take close to a hundred stings for a full grown adult. Almost like termites, one of the main tactics of the Iwasaki clan is to have the insects be spread about an area, and burrow into metal, where they weaken the structure and cause its eventual collapse. It is possible for a single member of the Iwasaki clan to cause an entire building to collapse by chewing through the metal supports that keep the building up. While not a primarily meat eating insect, they are omnivorous. Their bites are incredibly painful, and should they manage to get under the skin they can burrow around underneath the skin, and cause severe internal damage. TLDR: Bugs eat metal.
Kyodaina - Under varying circumstances certain insects can grow to tremendous sizes. Such is the caste of the Kyodaina. Bred as a kind of transport insect by the Iwasaki, it also has a high metal diet. But it also possesses a craving for meats. So while the giant insect is often used to carry other shinobi, it can also eat bodies that need to be disposed of. The Kyodaina possesses a set of pinchers specifically designed for cutting into metal. Almost like a sword, it can slice through a suit of armor, or other hard materials, like stone or ice.
Name of Weapon or Item: Iron Hive Description: A large container, designed to house the many insects of the Iwasaki clan and too be summoned if for any reason their insect supply is running low during battle. Each container holds roughly 2,000 insects in an area roughly 6'x6'. These Hives are used when a member of the Iwasaki has been in battle and their current batch of Iwasaki insects is dead or incapacitated. Appearance: A large metal container, carved with the shape of Kinzoku along the sides, wrapping up to the top. The container is used to hold extras of the insects, with holes littered about to have them released over time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 【Kekkei Genkai 】 Name of Kekkei Genkai: Steel Release Clan: Iwasaki (And other smaller clans) Description: The Iwasaki clan possesses the Steel Release Kekkei Genkai. Often referred to as the ultimate defense against others, this ability allows the user to generate metals from their body. While the various metals change slightly from person to person, they share many of the same properties. A hard metal shell can be grown from the user's skin, and even as a projectile that can be fire from their body. In other cases, it can even be spat out as a rapidly hardening metal, and formed into various projectiles. It is formed from the Earth, and Fire elements, with many believing it to be an offshot of the Lava Release style. Various smaller clans still possess the steel release, but the Iwasaki had long since become the main clan to possess such a ability. ------------------------------------------------------- 【Jutsu】
Name: Steel Release: Housing Insects Technique Rank: C Range: N/A Nature: N/A Type: Ninjutsu Effect: A primary technique of the Iwasaki clan, and one of their most practical. The base of this technique is that their bodies are opened up and redesigned into insect nests. Their ability to create layers of metal over their own skin or inside their bodies is used to feed the insects, who protect the host and listen to them. It is possible as a result, for the user to create projectiles or weapons in which the insects are already living. Allowing them to be scattered around an area before release.
Name of Technique: Steel Release: Instantaneous Stinger Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Rank: C Range: Mid-Long range Nature Type: Steel Description: A fairly simple technique, based around the ability to rapidly grow metal from the user's body. Making this one of the first techniques that users of the Steel Release tend to learn. The main usage of this technique is that when the user waves their hands, or points in a general direction, foot long spear of metal are fired from their skin. The best example of this would be the finger drilling bullet technique from the Kaguya clan. Advanced users of this skill can utilize it to shape various kinds of projectiles, like shuriken, kunai, or even swords.
Name of Technique: Steel Release: Veins Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Rank: C Range: Mid-range Area of Effect Nature Type: Steel Description: Utilizing the Steel Release, the user is capable of growing spikes of steel from the ground. Utilizing this technique, the Iwasaki clan developed a powerful terraforming jutsu. By turning the ground around them to steel, the clan creates an area where their beetles, the Kinzoku, to burrow about, or even feast and grow their numbers if there aren't any enemies about. The spears of steel produced from this technique vary, but can be roughly ten feet long, and appear in a noticeably erratic pattern. As a result, this technique is a powerful defense, attack, and support ability all in one.
Name of Technique: Steel Release: Forest of Steel Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Rank: B Range: Terraforming Nature Type: Steel Description: One of the most powerful jutsu in the Iwasaki clan book. An advanced form of Steel Release: Vein, Forest of Steel was originally utilized to create vast fields of metal that the Kinzoku could feast on. Primarily used as a method to create a base of operations, or to replenish dwindling insect supplies. When used, large spears of steel erupt from the area, and can only be described as an alien forest. Roughly described as a forest of bare trees, all crafted from metal. Each spike capable of easily skewering an unprepared shinobi.
Name of Technique: Steel Release: Silver Powder Type of Jutsu: Ninjutsu Rank: C Range: Mid-range Nature Type: Steel Description: Releasing a breath of steel into the area, small particles of a steel dust float around the area. Reflecting light, and being generally a nuisance to get in the eyes. Not a particularly powerful jutsu, but due to the Kinzoku's ability to track down metal by its scent, the powder can even act as a tracking agent. Or just really mess with the lungs.
