Does Elanil have a specific specialty with her magic? Is she fond of social gatherings? You mentioned that she travels alot. Perhaps they brushed shoulders together by the road? Did she hang around Haakland or Zerrikania previously?

Ferghus is a traveller himself as well but resided mostly in Haakland and Zerrikania.

Oops, sorry for the late reply.

Elanil enjoys using Telekinetic powers the most because it allows her to mess with people. She is quite fond of social gatherings, especially when there's music involves. As said in her CS, she really likes to get up and dance. She's potentially brushed shoulders with everyone in this group, but I'm not sure if it's anything worth mentioning. Unless her muteness and/or cheerful dancing was worth noting and remembering.
I'm not sure if Elanil would have relations with the others. Although she is currently just a traveller. Hit me up with an idea if you think you'd like our characters to know each other~
As she attempted to make her way to Marianne, she was constantly hindered by clan-rats that obstructed her path. Such creatures would have been a walk in the park, had she not been injured earlier. Her problems were compounded by the fatigue that settled in with every sword swing she made. Fariha may be a seasoned hunter but like most living beings, her stamina wasn't limitless.. Especially after using a chunk of magical energy for a single spell.

A scream rang out amidst the combat. Ayse. The huntress made the simple mistake of being distracted by her injured ally and the clan rat took advantage of it, thrusting his crude dagger forward. Fariha narrowly dodged the strike with a sidestep, however the blade still drew blood, making a shallow cut to her abdomen. She cursed as she cut the clan-rat's head clean off with her blade. Too many mistakes were being made in such a short period of time, and it was making the wood elf agitated. This was precisely why she preferred to work alone. Less room for error, less need to care about allies. The only person she could blame is herself.

Fariha retreated slightly as Ayse's flame consumed the area, anticipating a damaging flame since the caster was consumed with pain, but to her surprise, the flames burned away at the clan-rats and healed her wounds. The wood elf took this opportunity to retrieve her bow after noticing that Marianne seemed to be just fine on her own.

Siph's call pierced through the noise. His words causing Fariha to click her tongue in distaste. "If only I hadn't missed..", she muttered to herself as she fought her way toward her bow. As she cut down the clan-rats, in the corner of her eye she noticed that her bow was being carried away by a skaven who thought it could claim it for it's own. In a swift action, she flung her hunting dagger at the thief, the dagger lodging itself into the rat's neck. The bow clattered on the stone floor as the creature dropped dead.

Fariha pulled the dagger out of the rat's neck, it's blood pouring out as the wound was left open. Picking up her bow, she scanned the area. Most of the Skaven had fled if they weren't already dead, the Stormvermin hadn't budged, their resolve much stronger than their lesser comrades. The clan rats that remained seemed confused and lost in panic. Easy prey. If she knew where the Shaman was, he'd be dead in an instant. He's lucky that he's not in her sights... Yet.
@VKAllen

As convenient as that is, I'm going to say that she doesn't use it. It reveals her identity as a Sorceress and some might see it as a mind attack, thus she refrains.

OOC though, I just want to play with her mute condition.

@Jones Sparrow

Tomorrow is my last day of class for the week, so I'll be able to write up a character properly then.
@Jones Sparrow

Are mages only able to control one element? Or can they control multiple?

Also in what way does it manifest? Is it like any other fantasy realm where you can just shape the magic to your design?

(I haven't played much of the Witcher, just FYI. I'm also very unfamiliar with the lore, especially regarding sorcerer/sorceress)

EDIT: Do mages need a conduit for their magic as well? ie. a wand or staff?
I'm interested!
@Thinslayer

I'm sorry to hear that you dislike how everyone on earth lives with a mindset different from yours. But you're right. There's no fire, no drive to write. For me anyway. I don't have a life. I never had one, but I also suffer from a complete lack of motivation which is, unfortunately, not easy to explain without blaming my overall mental state. There are many factors that contributed to this lack of fire. Don't get me wrong, I had fire at the start. Over time, things become clear to me, and that fire goes out. The reason the "I have a life" reason is quite common is because.. believe it or not, being human and having a life is pretty common. Welcome to the internet, the information super highway that connects billions of people together, most of which probably do have lives. Sorry.

As much as you don't want to hear it; this is actually your fault. Not all of it, but most of it. In my opinion.

The roleplay began as a mess. Some order was implemented.. But it remained a mess. I'm not sure about the others, but I can't write properly for a world that is void of any structure, let alone a RP with no post structure. There is no map, magic system, or pacing. Although saying that we can't post our CS's in the OOC/CS tabs was a somewhat interesting decision, it didn't help anyone at all. You must trust that the players will not Meta-game with personalities.

I was cautious about joining a RP that had such little information in it, but I understand what you wanted to do with it. However it doesn't seem to have worked in your favour. You wanted people to world build with you (However it looked more like you wanted them to world build for you). 353 posts in, and I still know nothing about this world, because there isn't really one. Other than some pseudo-SciFi fairy dust. What are the attitudes that the races bear toward each other? Hostile? Neutral? These things help dictate the general banter that would happen between characters and their general outlook.

Magic systems are the bread and butter (For lack of a better spread), of any fantasy RP. Now I don't want to have to lecture you about this, but I'm going to anyway. Even in the most generic of generic Fantasy realms, there are rules. Magic has rules. At the very least, the origin of the magical power is written out. Does it come from the soul? Does magic just float around the air until someone wants to use it? The manifestation isn't important, where it comes from is.

Personally, I feel like these random NPC encounters are extremely unnecessary. I recall you telling us to get our characters to interact and learn about each other, but because you keep bringing in NPCs, everyone is getting distracted. Gorman wants to get into Laina's pants, Lieutenant Demon man is just randomly there for no other reason than to say "I'm here for food and that girl", and suddenly Erudessa is in the camp. Erudessa, the lady that's meant to be dead has appeared within a day of the quest starting. I remember talking about pacing to you and how it's been screwed up from the moment we left the town.

Let's have a fun recap, just like old times!

  • Party got their orders
  • Have a scuffle with Vert and decide not to kill her
  • Leave town
  • Get attacked by Wargs
  • Get attacked by the Warlock
  • Set up camp

This is one day. 353 posts for one day. And you have the gall to get upset about lack of motivation? In 4 months, we have achieved almost nothing. We've spent 20+ posts waiting for dinner. "Which is deer, apparently."

To conclude, I really don't think you have the right to be upset about any of this. 3 days isn't a long time. To many, 1 month is indicative of a dead RP. Maybe you could've spent all that pent up motivational energy to build the world of this roleplay? Nobody has done much of it for 4 months, that's a good indicator.
