Card trust me, getting free points isn't as easy as you think, i'd still put a couple points in STR and DEX at every level up, as grinding stats takes alot of time (it might be a little easier right now, but it still takes time, time you may or may not have)

senshin no ken (spirit sword as I mentioned in the post) is spirit/body based.
Not magic based. So Wis, Str, and Dex (Str and Dex mainly for a short bit, as they need some big boosts if you want to do melee anything) will become your friends for a little while unless you don't want to learn a not magic based skill.

The Senshin no Ken is not a magic based art, but a art based on the spirit and body, but I feel as though you would be better learning that then magic anyway. Come to the Kendo Team's room after school... you'll not only join the Kendo club to learn Kendo, but I will teach you whenever I am available on the basics of the Senshin no Ken as well in private on days the Kendo club does not meet. It will be hard training, but from that answer... I can sense you have the conviction and determination needed to learn. For now, head back to class. You don't want to miss the rest of your lunch period."

I am always willing to hear the concerns and questions of other students." And then, he listened to what Mike had to say. As he listened his eyes narrowed a bit, his serious gaze placed upon Mike as one hand was placed upon the bokken upon his waist, and there it stayed for most of Mike's speech, only leaving it near the end, a sigh escaping from him at the end, followed by a small chuckle. "I admire your honesty C. Not too many in the Abyss share that same quality, the quality of being both brave and foolish enough to bare themselves out fully before others, willing to take that risk. Its admirable and if this were the feudal era I am certain you would make a fine samurai, but it is not, unfortunately, and as admirable a trait it is, you should be more wise to keep it hidden more in the future, less you be killed by one who would think you some kind of assassin..."

It is a powerful and secretive style of Kendo that I cannot simply teach you, for not only am I not skilled enough to teach you, but also you would have to seek both the permission and trust of my own master to learn it. Not only that, but from just looking at you I can tell that you lack both the basic strength and discipline to learn how to wield the basic techniques required for the Ukiha Kamikaze Ryuu or even the Senshin no Ken (Spirit sword for you english speaking folks) for that matter, for you only seem concerned about gathering power, and Kendo should not be learned to acquire strength for just the pursuit of strength. As a student, it is imperative that you focus on your studies and ignore the Abyss as such a topic will only damage your enjoyment of your new school environment..."

"If it is Kendo you do wish to learn, however; the kendo team is always welcoming new members. If you can prove that you possess the discipline or are willing to train towards it, then maybe I can teach you the basics of the Senshin no Ken...until then, head back to class. Lunch time is almost over."

After that Mike stood up straight and turned to leave to go back to his own classroom.
