Personality

Silas, or Sile, as he is sometimes called, is one of those persons who prefers to be on his own. He likes to think that he doesn't fit into any category of people, and thus has his own way of living. He acts very distant towards others, and doesn't trust many people. Though Silas is as trustworthy as he thinks others are, something he is aware of, but doesn't care about. When someone is able to come close to him, and becomes friends with him, he'll be different than normal in some aspects. He will be more open to you, and isn't that distant anymore. Silas stays a very stubborn boy. He has trouble to admit that others are right, and tends to follow his own plans even though the plan of someone else might work better. He is a laid back person, who seems to not care about anything from the outside. But a lot is going on, on the inside of his head.

History

Silas lived his way normally for the first period of his life. Nothing much going on. He had a mother, a father and a little sister. His father had a good job, and their family was a bit richer than most. It was not until he was 8 years old that he noticed the relation between his parents had changed. They got into more fights, and this affected Silas a bit. The next year his parents divorced, something Silas had trouble dealing with. He had sudden anger outbursts at school and wasn't doing that well. Therapy also didn't help for him. His parents, even when divorced, still couldn't get along with each other. Silas and his sister had to live at their father and only went to their mother in the weekends.

When Silas went to high school he decided to change himself. He didn't want to have anger outburst anymore and wanted to live his life quietly. He was distant from most people in his class, who almost all were those mainstream types. He became interested in things that most people think are weird, at least the mainstream people think that. He hated shooter games, and liked RPG games, he liked horror and anime, and listened to metal and classic. Silas only got a bit close to his group of friends who were always sitting in the dark corner of the cafeteria, he even went into a relationship with one of them. Unlike others he picked sport called Squash. A sport that not many people knew. Silas always explained the sport being similar to tennis, only harder and more complicated. He became really good in it, and even did tournaments. For this sport you had to be really fast, had to know how to smash the ball so it would be hard for the opponent to get to it, and also be strong to make the ball go even faster. He was one of the youngest players who attended tournaments of Squash.

The situation at home had also cooled down a bit. His parents could talk to each other normally again, and actually everything was fine in his life. He had his own friends, a girlfriend, his own interest, something he stood out in, and a happy family. But of course all happy things have to come to an end. Apparently his little sister had decided to stay with their mother. This was because she became to hate her father, who apparently did something wrong in her eyes. His father got depressed and Silas himself stressed. His finals were also coming during that period and his home situation was just terrible. He had little time left for his girlfriend who eventually said they needed a pause because of all his stress. Silas was lucky enough to pass his exams. He went to live on his own and got his girlfriend back who decided to live with him too. And his Squash career luckily wasn't ruined. However not long after he had moved out he was called that his father had committed suicide because his little sister hated him and never wanted to see him again which had put him in a real depression, and because Silas wasn't around there was no one who could support him. Silas decided to do his best on his study, and become a good Squash player as his father would have wanted.

Deflecting Strike (Active: 4 MP) (Lv 4: 0/100 EXP): You are quite good at using weapons to deflect projectiles. You are only a -23 on Parry Speed against Projectiles instead of -50. Not only that, but when you successfully parry a Projectile capable of being deflected with a weapon that could deflect it you can send it back at the target with your own Melee Weaponry Roll being the substitute for the Projectile roll. To Level Up: Use the Skill, deflect projectiles naturally.

Racket Mastery (Passive) (Lv 10: 0/100 EXP): +1 Melee Weaponry. Deal 55% more damage with Rackets. +15% Attack and +7% Parry speed with Rackets. To Level Up: Hit with a Racket, Parry using a Racket, get a Critical Strike using a Racket.

Critical Strike (Passive) (Lv 3: 0/100 EXP): Deal 120% more damage whenever you perform a Critical Strike. To Level Up either perform a Critical Strike or get hit by a Critical Strike.

Chain Attack (Lv 8: 0/100 EXP) (Active - 5 MP/Extra Attack): You can perform up to two attacks in a deadly chain as long as the first attack was successful. Note that any other Attack Skill you use with the first attack will have its affect carry over to each of the other attacks. Note though that each additional attack suffers a -23% to the Attack Speed. Each additional attack deals an additional 13% damage. Note though if an enemy manages to parry or dodge the extra attack(s) you can be potentially opened to a counterattack. To Level Up: Perform a successful Chain Attack, get a Critical with a Chain Attack, kill an enemy then attack another enemy (if that enemy is in point blank range) with a Chain Attack.

Physical Endurance (Passive) (Lv 7: 60/100 EXP): +7 Resilience, +12% HP, +2 HP Regeneration. To Level Up: Successfully endure a physical attack. Successfully endure a Critical Strike from a physical attack. Successfully survive a fatal strike.

Katana Mastery (Passive) (Lv 6: 75/100): +1 Melee Weaponry. Deal 35% more damage with Katanas. +11% Attack Speed and +5% Parry Speed with Katanas. Through further mastery of the katana you can also acquire powerful kendo techniques with proper training. To Level Up: Hit with a Katana. Parry with a Katana. Get a Critical Strike using a Katana.

Acrobatic Strike (Passive) (Lv 2: 0/100): You know how to incorporate tumbling, leaping, jumping, and other forms of acrobatics into your attacks. When you successfully incorporate an agile or fast movement of acrobatics into your attack you deal an additional amount of damage equal to 15% of your Acrobatics Score. To Level Up: Perform an Acrobatic Strike, get a Critical, Defeat a Foe

Crippling Strike (Level 1: 0/100) (Passive): When you target special points on the arms or legs of a foe you can attempt to cripple them to try and slow them down. Upon success, you reduce all abilities involved with the target part by 5%. You also deal an additional 10% damage upon a successful Crippling Strike. To Level Up: Perform a Crippling Strike, Get a Critical.

Precision Strike (Level 1: 0/100) (Passive): You know how to target weak points on a foe's armor or other forms of protective wear to get past them and ignore the protection. A Precise Strike though is harder to hit with, reducing the accuracy of your strike by 10%. You also deal 10% more damage when you deal a precise strike. To Level Up: Perform a Precise Strike, Get a Critical.

Melee Expertise (Level 2: 0/100 EXP) (Passive): With your swift movements and good physical strength, you are a pretty good melee fighter. All Melee Attacks get a +6% Damage increase and your Parry and Dodge Speeds against Melee Attacks are 1% faster. To Level Up: Attack with Melee, Dodge/Parry Melee Attacks, and get hit by Melee Attacks.

Spiritual Powers

Energy Strike (Level 11: 50/100 EXP) (Active: 6 MP): +1 Focus. You focus energy into your attack, allowing it to deal more damage. Your attack deals an additional amount of damage equal to 11 + 32% of your total Focus Score. To Level Up: Defeat an enemy with Energy Strike, get a Critical with Energy Strike.

Hiragaiya Tamashī no Nesshō (Level 2: 75/100) (Active: 20 + X MP): This special skill is a basic technique learned by martial artists of the Hiragaiya clan. It involves harnessing and burning their spiritual energy (MP) to channel it into various attacks or other special capabilities. On its own in the most basic state though it can be used to burn spiritual energy (MP) to enhance your physical capabilities for a short amount of time. When you use this Skill the X MP cost of this Skill is how much additional MP you spend (it has to be at least 5). Your Physical Abilities are all enhanced by a % value equal to how much additional MP (X) you pour into the Skill, currently only able to put up to an amount of MP into the skill equal to your Wis Score. Not only that, but any attack, whether magical or physical, deals an additional 12% Damage while this Skill is active and you take 6% less damage. This Skill lasts only for a number of seconds equal to 5 + 12% of your Focus Score though. To Level Up: Use the Skill. Defeat an Enemy while the Skill is active.

Raging Spirit Blaze (Level 1: 0/100 XP) (Active/Passive: 30/60 MP + 20 HP): +1 Focus, +1 Wis. Through pure anger, or sheer effort, you summon forth burning power from your spirit and body, combining them into a devastating, blazing attack. While it is not actually fire, it certainly feels intense as fire. This attack lets you add on 10 + 50% Focus Damage to any melee or energy based attack on contact, the attack then bursting to deal an extra amount of damage equal to the 50% damage dealt right there. If naturally angered or enraged, this Skill costs only 30 MP and is used passively, meaning it can be combined with another Attack Skill. If not, then this Skill must be activated as any other Skill and costs 60 MP thanks to the extra effort spent summoning forth this power of rage. To Level Up: Use the Skill, Defeat an Enemy, Score a Critical Strike.

Ban Family Techniques

Ban Family Martial Arts Technique (Talent Skill): The discipline and strength needed to use the basic martial arts style of the Ban Family are yours. As you further level this Talent you will be able to better execute these special martial arts techniques and grow stronger overall.

Ban Family Foot Technique (Level 4: 25/100) (Passive): Through applying the special styles of movement of the Ban Family with the legs and feet you can move faster and still conserve energy. Running Speed increases by 20%. Dodge Speed increases by 1%. To Level Up: Dodge opponent attacks, practice running and moving faster with the aid of this Skill.

Ban Family Inner Ki Technique (Level 5: 0/100) (Passive): +2 Str, +1 Vit, +1 Dex. +10% MP, +10% HP. By learning and gaining the awareness and focus needed to harness one's Inner Ki (Mana) your physical attributes will increase as the more one's inner strength and energy, or Ki (Mana), is at one with their outer strength the stronger they will become, uniting the body's outer physical strength and inner focus and physical strength for incredible explosive physical power. +25% Damage with Physical Attacks. +25% Power increase to all Ki (Mana) based attacks and abilities. To Level Up: Simply use abilities that harness your Ki (Mana)

Ban Family Breathing Technique (Level 5: 0/100) (Passive & Active: 40 MP/Minute): +10% MP, Resilience +3, Concentration +3, +3 MP Regeneration, +3 HP Regeneration, +1 Focus. Stacks with Ban Family Inner Ki Technique. A special breathing technique that helps better flow the Ki (Mana) through the body with focused breathing that helps further strengthen the body by further uniting the Ki (Mana) and the Body. Can be used to meditate to help circulate the Ki (Mana) to speed its recovery. When this Skill is activated you get +25% Damage with Physical Attacks, +25% Power increase to all Ki (Mana) based attacks and abilities, +2 Resilience, and +2 Concentration. Ki (Mana) Strike can also be used while this Skill is active, these bonuses stacking with the Ban Family Inner Ki Technique as well. To Level Up: Use the Skill, strengthen the Ban Family Inner Ki Technique.

Ban Family Sword Technique (Talent Skill): A special technique for sword or blade users of the Ban Family that involves harnessing one's Ki through powerful sword strikes and four very special and powerful techniques. As you level this Talent you will discover how to harness these four somewhat simplistic, yet powerful sword techniques. You can now wield your sword regularly using these techniques, a more efficient form of using the sword than regular weapon training.

Daichizan (Level 4: 0/100 EXP) (Active: 25 MP): +1 Ban Family Sword Technique. +1 Str. The Daichizan or Earth Slash, the first technique of the Ban Family Sword Technique. This Technique is one of brute power, meant to cleave through the very earth itself, allowing you to harness all of your Inner and Outer Ki (MP) as explosive, brute force added to your current physical strength for one single attack. Your Str score is increased by 58% of your Focus Score the moment you use the technique, plus it deals 33% more Damage than a regular attack.

Ban Family Breath Flow Technique (Level 1: 0/100 XP) (Active: 50 + 50 MP/Minute): The next stage of the breathing technique. This powerful form of breathing allows a person to focus and flow energy through their body more quickly to gather it and strengthen the body itself. This technique can only be used while the Breathing Technique is active as it augments the breathing technique. While this Skill is active, your STR and DEX are both increased by 5. Also the damage of your physical attacks is increased by a % amount equal to 50% of your Focus Score. You can continue to build up the flow of your breathing to further increase your strength. By spending an additional X MP, a max amount equal to your Focus Score, every five seconds will further augment your strength by 25% of the MP you spend. You can do this for a max of an additional 25 seconds. The problem with this is that its a double edged sword. As you build up more energy, you speed and focus the flow of your breathing more. If this flow is disrupted through a powerful hit or anything else, the breath in your body will momentarily cease its flow in an abrupt, dangerous way that will leave you Stunned for a few seconds. Note that the strength buffs from the additional augmentation is spent after a single attack is made, regardless of whether or not it hits. To Level: Activate this Skill. Perform an Attack while its Active. Use the additional augmentation. Attack while the additional augmentation is active.

Can also be used to heal spirits or other ethereal beings, restoring 200 HP to them per dose. Rank: Highly Uncommon

Squash Racket: A strong, sturdy racket made of light metals that is used for Squash. Lighter than a metal baseball bat. Damage: 1~10 Really Common

Bokken: A strong, sturdy wooden katana used for practicing kendo. It appears to look brand new. Damage: 1~8. Rank: Really Common

Yakisoba Bread (2): Yakisoba bread. Tasty. Heals 10 HP. Rank: Really Common.

Imp Claws (3): Claw of an Imp. Used in basic alchemy or black magic. Contains a little bit of demonic energy. Rank: Common

Imp Horns (2): Horn of an Imp. Used in basic alchemy or black magic. Contains a little bit of demonic energy. Rank: Common

Genji heard Silas' apology and noticed that he seemed genuinely apologetic, even offering to give him some information about it and he just shook his head, grinning. "Nah, its alright, I did say you can learn from it if you wanted to and having the book get destroyed in the process means I don't have to put it away. You saved me a trip to a bookshelf." Genji chuckled a little at his joke, not really mad at all that Silas made the book practically vanish from existence. If anything, he was impressed and somewhat baffled by it. "Besides, I can just ask for another from the Hiragaiyas and I was done reading it anyway, I was just... a bit surprised. I mean...I take it you now know the technique now?" He guessed from whatever Silas just did and his attempt to try and tell Genji that he would explain the Skill he just learned meant that he could not only perform it, but knew how to. "So from my understanding of what just happened, if you do know how to use that technique... you all can learn anything as long as its written down in a book or something... like the characters in videogames can or whatever, like that one a friend gave to me... Skyrim was it?"

Genji thought for a few moments, nodding to himself. "Well... your power just seems to keep popping up new tricks. If you really can learn anything from books, it'll make teaching you the basics of martial arts alot easier... so ill be right back. Just stay here and hang out for a bit or whatever." With that Genji ran off quite quickly, exiting the area, leaving Silas and Sasha alone for ten minutes.

When Genji returned about ten minutes later he came back with a box, a cardboard box, which he sent down on the ground before the two of them. He opened it up and it was filled with two stacks of books. "Well I'm back. Lets see if your power lets you learn from these books. If so, then your power will be more broken then I originally thought. Makes me a little jealous actually, that you can learn things that take others years to learn just by touching a book."

There were two stacks of five books in the box, a total of ten books, five for the each of them. The ones on top had the same colored cover, but no title on them.

Here is the basic auction list. Note that your characters can also search the auction when browsing it as well if they want to find anything special that could be on sale for that day only. (like some people might put something really special or cheap up and it'll get bought quickly or something). Note that the price listed is just an about price. If you dig around some you could find it for cheaper on the auction site if someone happens to be selling a cheaper one. Also I will be putting short descriptions of what each tab you click on the site gives you. Consider everything below the line in this post an IC post from me as if your character is doing a basic look through of the auction's site.

When you first enter the site you are given a black screen which has either a login button or a button to register and make your own account as it is the only way to use the site. You are also told to put in how experienced you are in the Abyss and whether or not you are a Natural Ability User. It mentions that this info is kept private from other users and is only used to help you find purchases meant for your Rank and purchasing power. Whether you lie or not on this is up to you. Of course, you are also given a terms of agreement and all of that other stuff. If you take the time to read through it the basics of it are things like agreeing to let the auction know and store information on all of your purchases, agreeing not to attempt to break through loopholes in the Interference Law, and a few various other technicalities like not using the auction to troll or be mean to people on the site.

Once you register the place you are taken to is quite different from expected. Its all flashy and colorful like the website for an MMO's game store including with a big box that cycles through some very expensive, rare, and featured items. These items are way out of your price range for now, costing either hundreds of thousands or even millions of Yen. Its quite incredible how expensive some of the stuff is. While the home page is filled with links to high reputation sellers, special and rare items (these being pictures you click on) and other such things that you would find on a very flashy game store site the left side is filled with various tabs. When you click on one it gives you some sub tabs. Clicking on one of those gives you a list of items with pictures and prices, all automatically sorted by price and even given a rank.

(OOC: Note that not everything possible is listed here either due to the idea just not being there in my mind or I consider it a rare thing that would be snatched and bought up rather quickly. If there is something specific you are looking for or if you don't like what you see here just ask me for something specific and we will say your chara did a search to find whatever I say is either that thing or closely related. After all there may be things that I either didn't list cause they would be a bit rare or special or I just forgot to put them in. )

Weapons

Upon opening this tab you see many different tabs that show many different kinds of weapons. Some were more common weapons, others were more exotic like Scimitars, Kukri's, or even The purchases from Rank F were all just common weapons ranging in price from 15,000 Yen to 30,000 Yen, the ones of a higher price possibly being better quality or craftsmanship, a few of the F Ranks also being either higher or lower than that range, the highest being 50,000 Yen though. The E Ranked Weapons were a bit more expensive and looked alot nicer, but they ranged from 60,000 Yen to 100,000 Yen. There were also guns within the E Ranks, the range of their price being 15,000 Yen to 100,000 Yen as there were all types of guns that looked about like average firearms from their pictures, but a few looked nicer here and there or stated that they had a few unique customization in their listing.

There also seemed to be one time use weapons like smoke bombs, regular bombs, and other such things as well and of course ammunition for bows, crossbows, and guns alike. There were even implements here for magic users, non-enchanted of course, but things like staves or other such kinds of weapon style implements. Even some of the guns that were a bit higher than E Rank, being around D Rank, were said to be Magic Guns, but those were also very expensive.

(I am putting this here instead of a list cause, as your GM, i am too lazy to actually list out a ton of different weapons. If you have a question about a specific kind of weapon you want just freaking ask XD)

Armor

There even seems to be a tab for Armor. Rank F shows mostly just basic armors ranging from 7,500 Yen to 40,000 Yen for things like Leather, Iron, crude steel, chain mail, or other such basic armors of somewhat average quality. Rank E shows either nicer looking armors or more protective and harder to make types of armor ranging in price from 45,000 Yen to 100,000 Yen. Of course, normally it would be strange to wear armor in battle, but from when you all saw Ren change clothes in a single instant after opening his inventory it is safe to say that you can just use the inventory to instantly put armor on when you need it and instantly take it off when you don't.

Slaves

This tab seems strange. If you dare open it you see alot of listings with a picture of the 'slave' next to each one. Each listing gave a short, few word description of the person being sold and if you clicked on it there were various descriptions of the people being shown, all worded in various ways obviously. Men, women, children... all types were being sold as slaves. No infants thankfully, but if you actually did searching through this to see just what kind of people were being sold even the occasional listing of somewhat younger children around ten years old with special Natural Abilities appeared not all that often, but were still there. The people being sold were quite expensive, the cheapest, since it was being sorted by price, was about 350,000 Yen and considered a Rank C purchase.

Various tabs filled with all different kinds of miscellaneous small items popped up here.

Potions

All different kinds of potions in all different shapes and sizes of bottles seem to be listed here. Some of these, the ones that look a little more unique or special, are put here by people, but others are listed as 'Auction Stock', implying that one could buy alot of them directly from the auction as the auction probably supplies some of these.

This tab is filled with all different kinds of powders, roots, acids, and other substances meant for usage in Alchemy, all having different prices and grades, which the grade of the material was the rank of the purchase.

(OOC: If you learn an Alchemic recipe you can essentially just tell me how many times you want to make the recipe and ill tell you the total cost of the purchase as I am not listing out all of the bloody possible materials here, I am lazy)

Metals

From common metals like bronze and iron to more strange metals, some of them even claiming to be alchemic metals produced by alchemy. This is probably used for people who like to make weapons, armor, or other such metal items or even need metals for Alchemy, magic rituals, or other such things. Cheaper, more common metals are lower in price and rank while the nicer looking ones are higher in price and rank.

Ritual Materials

This tab is full of other materials or items that are used for many different kinds of rituals, mostly magical rituals, but for other brands of rituals as well. The things that are not under Alchemic Materials can be found here as some Alchemic Materials, for those who have a knowledge of magic, are used in magic rituals as well.

Magical Items

Upon clicking on this tab several other tabs, taking you to different pages of items like the others, appear, the tabs full of supernatural items and implements meant to be used by Ability Users with supernatural abilities like spiritualism or magic.

Tools

Staves, runes, strange metal symbols, talismans, and other such tools needed for magic or any other mystical art are all here, these seeming to be a bit more reasonably priced than some of the other items in the other Magical Items tabs, but not by much. There were even kits and various other things as well, including more mechanical devices that were probably enchanted in some way to have some special function.

Needless to say, the things in here seemed out of the range of the Gamer's current purchasing power by a long shot. Unfortunately the lowest ranked weapon here is Rank E and even then it is very expensive, costing 300,000 Yen. Needless to say, it'd be a while before you could buy anything from here. (OOC: Which is why I am not listing anything here)

Ren listened to Lucian speak, his tone sounding like he was somewhat nervous or something, but Ren just ignored that. "Upgrading your attack Skill would be good. Plus I also want to test out a few things as well, so I wouldn't mind helping you. We can use the Dueling function so that we don't kill each other..." Ren stopped speaking as he noticed a window, it being a PM sent from Mike. As much as Ren didn't like the guy and wouldn't spend time with that kind of outgoing idiot, as it wasn't that Ren didn't like him as a person as he was rather nice, it was just hard for someone cold and distant like Ren to keep up with someone that... innocent, honest, and outgoing.

"Mike says he's up for running an ID, ill tell him to meet us at the park where we all met the night before. We can grind Zombies there..." Ren began to quickly type up a PM which he sent to Mike, Sasha, and Silas, not bothering to create a separate one for Mike as he just sent out a mass PM.
