When using Observe on the Mass Zombie the following window appeared.

This large, hulking undead creature is made from a large amount of undead spirits and resentment of the undead. This creature is slow, but extremely tough, its brute strength able to take down the strongest of fighters with mighty punches. It also seems to have a few special powers and likes to pick up large pieces of the earth from the ground and chuck them at their opponents.

After that Mike used Force Pulse on the Mass Zombie, although whether or not it could do any damage had yet to be determined.

The blast of energy nearly missed the creature. In fact, if it wasn't for it stumbling a small bit into the blast as it seemed to be even clumsier than usual for a creature with a Dex of 4 then the blast wouldn't have even hit at all. Unfortunately when it did hit it did an insignificant amount of damage to the point where it had no effect at all, dealing 0 damage as a 0 appeared over its head when the blast hit, indicating that the skill wasn't strong enough to do anything. It did go up in level though, which was a good thing.

The beast was looking at Lucian now, as the blast that hit it from Mike didn't even scratch it so it didn't really take any note of it. Suddenly it raised one of its mighty fists and then threw it towards Lucian, whose shield was still up. The attack seemed incredibly powerful, but also a bit slow. Parrying it would be impossible since the beast was too strong and too large, so Lucian would have no choice but to dodge.

Thankfully it missed. It hit the ground next to him, creating a somewhat large, fist shaped crater as it punched the ground. If that blow, which could crush the ground with its fist, had hit Lucian then his shield probably would have been ripped through like tissue paper and Lucian probably dead, or at least in the red and in a shit ton of pain.

Fortunately Ren was on the job here. Since Lucian was dodging he couldn't really open himself up to allow Ren to Force Siphon his MP, so Ren decided to attack for now. "Eldritch Flame!" That same green flame formed around his hands, Ren wincing as it actually seemed to burn him some and deal him damage the power also draining his HP a little when he used it. "Charged Spinning Mana Blades!" He put all the power he could into it as three spinning 'buzz saws' of mana with dark green eldritch flame licking over them as the three blades flew towards the Mass Zombie, materializing from the air around him as they flew towards the beast.

While the creature was tough, it was by no means invincible. The three blades slashed deep into the creature, the flame seeming to only enhance the damage of the blades and make it roar out even more loudly in pain. Fire was apparently a good thing to use against it, the creature being an undead so it had no resistance to fire. Fire was always a weakness of the undead, the fire seeming to still burn the creature somewhat and slowly deal it some damage.

Despite how much damage that attack dealt though it still had a huge amount of HP left. Not only that, but Ren said that it could also regenerate, which meant that they would have to find ways to chip its HP down before it regenerated and Ren, who seemed to be the only one who could damage it of the three, ran out of MP.

"Probably, its Int is only one because its a zombie. Just be careful, it has 50 Strength and can probably squash any of us like a bug in one hit... not only that... but it also likes to rip large boulders right from the ground and chuck them." Ren said to the both of them after Lucian voiced his strategy, Ren beginning to move to a different position as Lucian used his Chained Mana Surge Skill against the hulking beast.

All three surges hit, but the damage of the second and third one were 0, as evident by the 0 that appeared above the creature's head when the two smaller surges hit it. It was a good skill, but on a tough creature like this seemed to lack real offensive capabilities. Lucian would be better off saving his MP for an emergency or not using the second surge.

Ren saw how somewhat ineffective the low level skill was and stopped running, turning to Lucian, calling to him, not needing to worry about the stupid zombie hearing their plans as with its Int of 1 it probably couldn't understand them anyways. . "Let me Siphon your MP! Your skill can barely dent it, I would be better of using it with my skills while you two play decoy." Ren wasn't trying to sound mean, he was only trying to make a point, and there was some truth to it. Ren had fought this thing before and seemed to have more powerful skills that probably also stemmed from his extra month's worth of experience with the power that let him figure out how to get things like this.

Lucian's shield still had about twenty four seconds left of activation time, but whether or not it could take a full hit from this beast and still let him live afterwards was a different story.

The creature was looking towards Lucian now, but Mike still had a little bit of time left to act before the creature began its counterattack, its somewhat clumsy counterattack.

And boss fight.

Sasha, Genji, and Silas have built up some kobold kills to, so they have a really decent chance of getting into a boss fight as well.

Ren finished meditating, his HP more or less completely recovered give or take a couple of points. "Nope, lets go one more time, making sure they don't get the drop on us like they did last time." Ren first gathered the drops that appeared each time before they had created a new Pseudospace as Ren figured they could split and examine the items later, Ren recognizing the teeth, but the other two new items were new to him. The young boy then broke the Pseudospace then created another Zombie one as they all got to work.

Ren and Lucian both did quite well, not having to waste too much energy, Mana, or HP on these beasts. Mike, not so much, but with Ren and Lucian there his shortcomings were easily made up for, especially with Ren's powerful Eldritch Flame infused spinning mana blades that sliced through the zombies quite easily. Luckily Mike leveled up near the end of the fight, so his HP and MP were all healed. Ren and Lucian would still be down a bit of MP, Ren down a bit of HP since Eldritch Flame actually drained that every time it was used as well, but not a whole lot. The MP was more concerning. Lucian only had 54 left and Ren only 130, both down around 50% or lower of their MP.

The reason why it was bad was because, for those who had their minimaps out, a very large, dark red dot appeared not to far from them. Suddenly what appeared to be zombies all appeared in one spot, seeming to gather and climb atop one another, forming a giant mass of them that grew taller and taller, a cold chill of death running through the air as spirits of undeath seemed to swirl around this hulking mass. Ren cursed beneath his breath and took his guard, quickly taking the moment to chug a milk, a blue 10 appearing over his head as 10 MP was restored, Ren talking another one out and tossing the small carton to Lucian. "Drink it to restore MP... because we are in for one hell of a fight against the thing that... well... that killed me before pretty much...as it has 750 HP, can regenerate, is incredibly tough, immune to critical hits, and can use something similar to my Force Siphon skill to drain both HP and MP."

When it finally fully formed it was a hulking, giant figure at least a good thirty feet tall or so, it was hard to tell. It looked like a giant zombie. Above its head in bold, dark red text was the words Mass Zombie Lv 19.

Ren quickly shot his hand towards the zombie, not wanting to take any chances. "Black Mark: Mark of Cursed Tasks!" Suddenly something beneath the bandages on his hand began to glow with a very dark black color. Suddenly a mark appeared on the creature, what appeared to be a magical pentagram that looked like something that would be used for black magic like out of a manga, pure black in color, only within the pentagram was also a strange looking symbol that had a slash through it. As Ren used this strange spell his HP bar would drain a little bit for some reason, as if the magic he used drained it.

The creature, however, would now seem a bit clumsier somewhat as it began to lumber over to them with its very long strides. Luckily there was still enough time for Mike and Lucian to act, and Lucian to drink the milk if he wanted to (which he would have had time to do while it was forming), this fight not going to seem easy at all.

The moment Sasha would activate the breathing technique a small window appeared saying "Ban Family Breathing Technique Activated." She would feel her Ki, or Mana in Sasha's case, flowing through her body with each breath, strengthening her as a green, misty aura, similar to Genji's when he used his Ki attacks from before, formed around her. As she aimed the Mana Revolver at the beast she would feel that with the mana flowing through her with her breathing, uniting more with her body it would be more focused and more powerful.

The attack was even more powerful than before thanks to both the Breathing Technique and the Inner Ki Technique. All of the bullets slammed into the creature, but its charge did not stop. If anything it just took the damage, gnashing its teeth more and letting out a bellow as with a few more very powerful strides. Now it was on top of Sasha, Genji unfortunately having to deal with around three of its other friends that were approaching the group in a similar blood thirst and rage. "Good thing about these creatures, is that when they rage they do it in groups to brutalize their targets!" Genji called this out to the others as he seemed to actually block two club blows against him with his arms covered in that same glowing, misty green energy that was probably Ki.

Its swing was wild, but powerful Sasha would be able to dodge out of the way easily, but what was there when she was dodged was a bit unsettling. A small crater in the ground about a few inches deep and a few inches wide. The attack was so powerful that it actually damaged the ground, meaning that if it had hit Sasha she would have probably been killed by that hit, and somehow Genji was able to block two of those hits with his own abilities. The world of the abyss was quite incredible, dangerous, and ominous if people could do things like this.

Fortunately though, with the Kobold having attacked Sasha and her having missed, there would be an apt opportunity for Silas to strike now.
