Omnipotent? You mean the barkeep is all powerful?

Also yea, the way Leifr keeps calling him Sir Selvus would definitely make the few guards (as in there are about around three of them in the barracks currently, rest are out and around the town, this not including the one who brought Fiore into the barracks, and also not including the captain) snicker.
Also Selvus is not my chara by the way. He's just a named NPC. If anyone thought he was my chara, they are wrong.

My chara will come along later.
Yes they are. I generally have a sort of side rule that for crafting Talents you need at least a Dex of 4 to use them efficiently. This is just for Craft Talents though, not things like Herb-Craft or anything not described specifically as a Crafting Talent. (Crafting Talents are Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Tailoring, Stone-Cutting, and Leather working)

But yea, Craft Talents are Aptitude, not Dexterity.
And yes, Fiore could have sat around, but he was brought there by the guard, who went and talked with his captain for just a few minutes, so Fiore wouldn't have been left alone for long. So Fiore was left alone for about three minutes (and when I mean alone, I mean there were about maybe one or two other guards just in there about)
No.

The Stat listed next to a Talent shows which Stat enhances it. For instance if you have Apt 4, then you would get a +4 to all survival rolls. It is also the score used for straight rolls of Talents that are untrained (and that can be used by your chara).

For instance if you have no ranks in survival, but an Apt of 4, then you would get +4 whenever you make a Survival Roll. Your total score for a Talent (what is added to the result of your roll) is equal to Ranks in said Talent + Stat Score for said Talent + any other bonuses you have (from Traits, Synergy, or other things. It is possible to even get in game things that give bonuses).

So if you have 6 Dex, and 5 Ranks in Melee Weaponry, then you would get a +11 on all Melee Weaponry rolls (as that is your "Talent Score"), meaning when you (and by you, I mean I make it, I make and perform all dice rolls then tell you the results) make a Melee Weaponry Roll the result of your roll would be the result of the d20 roll + 11.
It wouldn't have been twenty minutes, would have been less than that (probably about three to five)

Keia was actually say 'No' because he knows what Brent Roless truly is. He's afraid that his masculine knight's masculinity would be undermined by the arrival of the One True Man. XDHm, so it's not possible to create things such as painkillers/aphrodisiacs/hallucinogenics/inhibitors and such, currently? As in...Salvemaker is a super underpowered Job class here?

Oh its totally possible to create those kinds of things if you can find the right plants.

Oh yea, a question mainly for Renose, but others may answer...I want to make a salvemaker/potionbrewer/druglord. Is that alright? Or is there not enough science-powa in the world yet to bring out all the potent things from natural plants? Was also thinking about naming him Brent Roless.

A salve maker is possible. You wouldn't really need alchemy if you were just using plants and creating basic salves, poultices, or even liquids from the essence of the plant. A plant known for its healing properties could be made into a healing salve or even a somewhat weak healing elixer.

Alchemy can use herbs and plants (but it also doesn't)

Also dat name....

I kinda have to agree that in this time period a name like that isn't really possible.

For starters, only nobles or just very few commoners have family names.

And also Brent Roless isn't really a medieval name :3

I mean, you can name him that if you want (its up to you) but you may get a few strange looks.
The tavern keep smiled as the iL was slid to him. "Thank ya kindly laddy." After pocketing the coin he watched as Leifr left, looking now to Lyrisa. "I have to say lass, you don't really see people like that every day. First person to call that ol' Selvus by the name of Sir Selvus. Man is no knight, but i'll bet he can fight better than one. Drinks better than them too. Still, that Leifr fella will be a face I remember for a while. First person ever to call me 'milord'."

"And probably the last, eh Khelgin? The only thing you're the lord over is holding your swill." The patron who had held Leifr down earlier spoke, laughing as he took a drink from his flagon.

"Aye, ain't that the truth. I'm also the lord over knocking smug fellas like you face first to the floor with my fists." The tavern keep let out a hearty laugh before turning back to Lyrisa. "Sorry bout that lass, and don't worry, I know not to treat ya like a child, although others might. You're gonna have to get used to that lass, anyway..." He pocketed the iL that Lyrisa slid to him.

"If its specials ya want, come back on the day of the festival. For now, its some beef, meat, and drink for ya. Ya seem more like a water drinker though, most Scribe or knowledgeable types like ya are."

A few minutes later a different tavern wench than the one Lyrisa talked to earlier came by, placing a plate with some pork and bread upon it, a basic tavern meal. It was warm though, and tasted quite good for a basic meal. It was also filling as well for a person with an empty stomach.
When Fiore entered the small, but effective barracks they were small, but they worked. When Fiore entered the guard that brought him here looked back to him. "Alright, stay here for a moment, ill go grab the captain." With that, he left, walking to a door on the other side of the barracks.

A few minutes later the guard returned with another man. He seemed to be in about his mid thirties, a halberd strapped to his back and an axe upon one hip and a short sword upon the other. The man had an air of confidence around him, one that was needed for protecting a village.

"So, you are here to help investigate the disappearances? Probably here for the promised coin no doubt. Doesn't matter really, just as long as someone finds out what happened to them stops them, maybe even bring the missing people back alive. The name's Selvus. I take it you are someone who likes to get to the end of things quickly, so lets cut to the chase. You'll be awarded upon your return with either information on the disappearances, proof that whoever is doing this is stopped, or perhaps even those who have been abducted." Selvus then walked over to a table, a map upon it, gesturing for Fiore to come over.

"If its leads you want, we think that the culprits are a group of bandits, who we believe have made camp a north of here by about a day's ride. They've been harassing traders, hunters, and whoever else is unfortunate enough to travel that area." He pointed to a small group of hills on the map, which were not too far north of their current location. A day's ride about. "Any questions?"
