I have to head home, ill post for Val and the Aeron when I get back.
As Mike finalized his purchase, choosing the express delivery option, and spending nearly all of his money on three books, he would hear something outside the window to his room nearly moments later. What appeared to be a small UFO with present tied to the underside, like some kind of strange delivery system. If not for how quickly it arrived, it would be almost comical. This was apparently how good the Abyss Auction was if it could get things there that quickly. Of course, as did Ren, Mike had to put in his address when he registered the account, but to deliver something in a few seconds to his window was quite the impressive, if not somewhat creepy, feat.

As what happened with Ren, a robotic voice instructed Mike to put the cash in a small hole that opened up in the top section of the UFO. Mike could try and just take the parcel and destroy the UFO to get free stuff, but pissing off the Abyss Auction probably wasn't a good idea unless he was suicidal since they seemed to have people working for them that were ??? Level and could get stuff to their windows in just several seconds. Needless to say, it would be better if Mike followed the rules, unless he decided to be incredibly bold and not do so.
"Heal it with wind based skills huh... sure, I don't mind, but don't you have any other powers you can grind? Sure these things aren't too tough, but they can still be a bit of a pain..." Saito responded to Lucian's inquiry about him healing the elementals around the same time that Ren and Undine managed to destroy the one they were fighting. Although he was interrupted as when Ren destroyed the Air Elemental, the level number above Saito's head went up by one, indicating that he leveled up, although Saito didn't seem to notice.
Lucian Negotiation: 54 - 31 Negotiation = 23
Saito gave a heavy sigh though and just nodded. "Alright, go ahead. Just be careful alright, using too much of a power on an elemental of the same element can not only heal it, but make it stronger too, so if you have any other Nature Powers on you, I suggest you grind those as well." With that he looked over and saw a lone elemental, it being about fifteen or so yards away. "Alright, you hit that one with your wind power then ill cast one of my spells on it..." With that he moved forward a short bit and began chanting, now being the time for Lucian to join in on the grinding.
Yea, but you barely understand what the thing is saying. Ugling tongue isn't exactly a language even scholars commonly verse in since its so primal and guttural that its nearly impossible to understand without years of study. Even their writing makes chicken scratch look neat.

And understanding 'kill them' was just an assumption on Lyrisa's part, a basic looking into how its 'words' sounded and its hand gesture were also a part of the assumption that the thing said to kill them.

But yea, kill this thing, kill it with fire XD
Updated everyone's XP totals (everyone got 2 XP from the first wave of those creatures) and updated the Lore and Adventure Tabs on the front page.
Vialesa got what I like to call a super Fumble.

She rolled a 1, got a 20, then I had to roll again and subtract even more (which I rolled a 1 by the way, so lucky for her XD)

She is still probably dead anyway though, monster got lucky with his crit to get a second strike from a Free Attack.

EDIT: So much for bringing her back later XD (as she is Probably Dead)
Unfortunately, as the prospect of money would be appealing, it seemed that Lyrisa's words fell upon deaf ears. Well, not deaf ones anyway, as the girl was very fine of hearing evident from the fact that she responded when spoken to by the others. Still, she didn't seem any bit interested in the prospect of some reward, which was understandable considering what they were dealing with. Either that, or she just didn't care. Either way, she wasn't interested in going with them and didn't really seem to care about their reward either.

Suddenly though the girl stopped walking and drew her sword, and for good reason to. She was about ten yards away from the party and the corpse that Allereun was dissecting. Out from the 'darkness' in the distance came three more of those strange creatures, snarling and growling. But instead of charging they just sat there, tendrils from their mouths excreting some strange liquid as if they were 'drooling' in the sight of food, or so was the best way to describe whatever these monstrosities were doing.

A figure stepped forward now, chittering in some strange tongue, the likes of which none of you recognized, except for Lyrisa. and Allereun. Allereun couldn't understand what it was saying at all, but Lyrisa, with her study in the various languages of the land, understood just a couple of words. Something like 'master', 'pets', and 'sacrifices' were the only words she could really discern since they were enunciated a bit more clearly in its chittering. There weren't many who studied their gutteral, feral language and thus what knowledge both of them had about the language was incredibly miniscule at best.

It was a rather short, goblinesque figure. Its ears were very long and pointed, its skin upon its ugly face a mixture of green and brown, quite grotesque looking actually. Its nose was long and pointed, various warts dotting across its face. In its mouth were sharp, pointy, but also crooked teeth, its tongue forked and its eyes as black as coal with no discernible pupils. It wore some type of tattered brown cloak, with some blood stains upon it. In its more bestial than humanoid looking, three fingered hands it carried a stave with several skulls dangling from the head of it, tied there with rope, strange markings on the skulls. Two appeared Galmin, but the third one, the one in the middle, was unrecognizable even to Allereun, who seemed to have quite the knowledge of anatomy. The markings, however, would be somewhat recognizable to Lyrisa, as markings of more darker, vile magics, ones much different than what she practiced.

Allereun and Lyrisa, who recognized the tongue, could tell that this strange creature was something called an Ugling. A mock name gave to them due to how twisted these creatures were in both appearance and personality. They were known to be vile, humanoid creatures that seemed intelligent, but were also no better than savage beasts. Abhorred and hated by all, it is said that if one should be captured by them to either try and escape or kill yourself as soon as possible because being captured by them is said to be a fate worse than death itself. Luckily though the sun was starting to come up somewhat, meaning they could all see better now and possibly have a better chance of avoiding any of those said fates.

Vialesa moved first, aiming to cut down one of the creatures closest to her since she was only five yards away from all four 'creatures', the main group fifteen yards away. As she charged though and aimed to slash the creature she had charged towards, this being one of the monstrosities, not that Uglings weren't monstrosities, she suddenly tripped, dropping her blade to the ground, the ground being a bit slippery where she fell. Not that it mattered, as the moment she fell during her attack all of the creatures, who were all within clawing distance, pounced and began to try and kill her.

Luckily she still had a tight grip on her blade, but one of them, the one she charged, moved with almost inhuman speed, like a savage beast, and sunk into her with its claws, eliciting a scream of pain from her as the claws raked very deep. Unfortunately for the female swordsman, this one was so quick that its other set of claws from its other hand raked right across her neck. All that could be heard was a gurgle as blood rose from her mouth, the life leaving her eyes as within seconds, her body went completely limp. This elicited a mad cackle from the ugling as it aimed its staff at the group and chittered what Lyrisa could understand as 'kill them'.

Luckily, despite the strange terror that the very presence of these creatures brought and the fact that one of their more skilled "comrades" had fallen in mere moments, most likely dead, all of the group managed to steel their wills and prepare for what was most likely to be an even tougher battle as they still had a chance to react, as Vialesa did before she met what was most likely her demise, to these creatures and their apparent 'handler' by the looks of it.
Your lazy DM has decided to get his butt his off and post a write.
Sure. To be honest, I have no idea where Aeron is. I will go ahead and post for Val. I hate to be a jerk here, but if he doesn't post within the next day or so, ill just make it so that Erica never existed so you could have a Gamer Character.

Still, Aeron has twp more days to post something after I post for Val. If Aeron doesn't post, Erica will have never existed cause its time I put on me GM hat and start speeding up the plot here. Got alot of cool shit planned.

So yea, feel free to start character planning (if Aeron does come back, then you can still make a regular Acquired or Natural Ability User character rather than a Gamer one, six is kind of stretching the limit on gamer characters here already, so no more than that XD)
Elim didn't really get the point of spilling each others' pasts to one another. A name was all that was necessary. There was no need to be friends, Elim didn't really care much about this whole judge predicament or whatever else was going on. He was only here because he got dragged into this, and the only reason he is sticking around these people is because they seem to know much more about world travel than he did. Still, despite them knowing more about world travel, they sure didn't know much about wilderness travel. Just what was this world like where these people grew up to the point where they could be so decadent?

Elim heaved a heavy shy and shook his head. "I hate to be the one to get us off track, but as we are now we will die if we go up there. We need food, water, and other such things. While water may be accessible from melting snow or the usage of Ice magic, we still need food. We should either find a town or start hunting for whatever sort of creatures that are around here. We'll just be heading straight into death's maw if we try to climb a mountain with no food in our system. As urgent as it is to complete our goal, we won't even be able to save the snow at our feet if we walk up there unprepared".

Elim had a couple days rations in his pack upon his back, but they were small, and split among four people would maybe last a single day, if they ate smaller portions even. That wasn't necessarily helpful. "I have a little food with me, but it's barely anything. We'll need more if we want to survive up there. If we could get some horses as well that could help, assuming that they even have such creatures in this world..." Elim just shook his head, wondering why they were even doing this again, or at least why the Prince didn't give them more to help them on their quest. Not that Elim would ask lest be rude to royalty and be executed for it, but still, according to his own assumptions, they were woefully unprepared for a snowy mountain climb.
