Mike no.

Maybe Lucian (but those things are deep and probably won't come to surface until someone finds out that Ren's a girl)

None of the group is really able to fight the other organization on the same level... right now. I assume that Joshua also wants to show how strong this group is with these fights. Although it won't be long before we beat the Six Senses.

So it really is the obligatory unbeatable boss fight.

Always hated those XD

Personally if this big bad group had LET the Keybladers win or let them go after a brief tussle of just toying around with them (and made either factor incredibly apparent) that could get the message across that they can't do shit to their group better than: 'Imma gonna beat the shit out of you and you can't stop it'.

I mean with Lucus it took all of them (cept Reno and Thomas who were absent), several of the veterans, and a bunch of Nobodies (all puns intended, sorry, I couldn't resist XD) (jk jk) to stop him. That right there showed the incredible level of the other organization by pretty much saying that you would need an entire battalion to even get close to beating one of us.

Sorry if I seem rantish, but I never really liked the obligatory "you automatically lose and are gonna get yer arse kicked boss fights" (as it makes me just wanna stop trying if there's no way in hell to win).

But yea, that's my opinion on obligatory loss from the get-go boss fights.

Its not that I hate losing, I just hate when the outcome is set to automatically losing (its one of the reasons why my RPs have game systems attached to them, means that the outcome of any situation is never set in stone).

veering very closely into Berserker territory in D&D terms.

This right here.

.... Shadow, what part of 'Explosion after explosion would go off until both lay on the ground heavily wounded' did you not understand?

To be fair, there is this thing called an adrenaline rush. Lets people utilize 100% of their body's physical strength and go outside of their normal limitations.

Or if you want to get anime/fantasy logic. Fighting Spirit/Berserker States say fuck being heavily wounded. XD

So does general science. Being heavily wounded doesn't prevent people from moving around (unless you break their arms and legs)
They couldn't take Neo Bahamhut away (as he's kind of inside of Reno/Oner's very existence, as that is where their inventory is)
Just realized. Silas is the only male on his team (harem)

And Ren is the only girl on her team (reverse harem)

XD
Keiko listened to Sasha discuss their various roles, staying quiet until Sasha spoke to her. It wasn't that she was a quiet person, she was just observing for now. In truth, she was also doubtful about bringing these people along since they were still quite inexperienced, but she wasn't one to go against Keiichi's orders. If need be, she would have them retreat if things got too dangerous.

"I do not possess Spells". Keiko's voice was quite pretty and gentle as she spoke, but she also spoke in an intelligent manner. She had no idea how Sasha came to that assumption, but she wasn't going to ask. "I am a Spirit Medium. I commune with the spirits and can borrow their power and request their direct aid. For example... please stand still for a moment".

She focused for a moment, putting two fingers in front of her chest. In the next moment what appeared to be paper talismans appeared in her hands. Muttering something quite quickly, it sounding like some sort of spiritual chant, beneath her breath for a few seconds, some form of power began to focus itself into the three talismans. With a wave of her hand they all flew from the two fingers she was holding them between at Silas, Erica, and Sasha, hitting them in the heart.

"Please Protect Them" She chanted, the talismans glowing before what appeared to be some sort of aura enveloped their bodies before vanishing, the talismans vanishing as well into the aura that had disappeared.

"Those are protective talismans, made by borrowing power from Guardian Spirits. They should protect you from several blows or one serious blow. Granted you still shouldn't try to get hit, but its always good to be prepared. I prepared them for the operation today, and I have more if needed", her expression growing a bit more serious and concerned as she said one more thing, "but lets hope that they aren't needed". It was a good hope to have.

"So I will be providing support from behind through the spirits as I can summon them to fight with you, or use their power to aid your own abilities. Of course... I can still fight close quarters if need be, but" she seemed to put a bit more serious, intellectual emphasis on these next words, "your goal is to find answers according to what you all said earlier, reconnaissance essentially. It is not to fight. Keiichi and the others are providing the distraction, but that doesn't mean that they will draw the attention of all of the enemies. We should focus on stealth, moving quietly and quickly. If there are enemies, we get the jump on them before moving on. So once in, we all stick together, move quietly, and stay out of conflict. Understood?"

She didn't want to seem bossy, and didn't actually. Her tone was intelligent, her words showing legitimate facts. The Gamers were here to find the answers that the Void Wizard told them that they could find, not fight everything that breaths. So Stealth was probably a good option to consider, especially since if they used it and ran into an enemy, they could get the jump on them before they were noticed, making any fights quick and instant.
Touma looked towards Mike as he asked his question, Keiichi and the others going over a quick checklist of what they needed to do, so Touma was the one to address Mike's question here as he had been looking at Ren's group as they talked, looking as if he was gauging their strengths, looking a bit pleased at how things were going. "Yea, you guys are newbies right? If Hunters did attack you then there is a chance that it is connected to this base here, and as for your second question..." Touma paused, scratching his head. Slavery was a sensitive subject, really hard to explain despite it being simple.

"Maybe a source. This base appeared here not too long ago, so there probably hasn't been too much slave trafficking through here. What we are mainly concerned about is how these guys have gotten resources beyond the normal means of hunters, and are even bold enough to encroach upon the Void Wizard's domain. I mean, that guy is someone that even ten of me couldn't beat, as he's badass enough to be his own one man army that watches over the land in the Port Island District".

"That's right". Keiichi walked over, Touma having finished speaking by the time the others were finished discussing teams. "You might be aware of this already, but everything in the Abyss is ranked based upon monster killing efficiency. From F to S. There are those who are so powerful though, they are known as Unknown Ranks. The Districts of this city are watched over by various groups. The Ban Family keeps watch over the Residential district. We, the Enforcers, have our base in the Entertainment District. The Void Wizard, by himself, protects the Port Island District. The Business and Industrial Districts are both neutral Auction territory where anyone who pays enough can do whatever business they want in the land without interference".

After that bit of addressing Mike's question, and giving them all some useful information about the city through it, Keiichi assumed that the teams had been set. Keiko went with Silas' group and Henry with Ren's.

Saya stood up now, the mirrors vanishing as she walked over to Keiichi. "There are 22 humanoids inside. 15 are around Rank F, 4 Rank E, and 3 Rank D". Her voice was a bit quiet as she spoke.

Touma smirked, hitting his fists together. "Some Rank D's huh. Looks like this'll be a fun night after all".

"Did you manage to gather how they managed to make a Psueodpsace like this, something that should be out of the means of ordinary hunters?" Keiichi seemed concerned that there were Rank Ds among their midst. Hunters were usually thugs, Rank F - E. Rarely were there any people who were Rank D and stayed Hunters.

Saya simply shook her head in response.

"Alright, remember the plan. Either Ten minutes after the distraction or on Saya's signal, you all go in through the side entrances. I recommend heading to the top floor if you're able to. We will try and direct chaos to the middle floor" He looked towards the Gamers, giving one last bit of advice. "If any of you need to communicate with any of us, just do so through Henry or Keiko, and make sure that you aren't separated from them. This is a team operation and we all need to stick together..."

Keiichi looked at Keiko and Henry, not saying anything, but giving a nod instead, the two of them nodding back in return. After that, Keiichi drew his bokken and simply said "May Fortune and Justice favor you" as if it was some sort of motto. After that, he, Nero, and Touma ran towards the building and barged into the front.

The Operation had Begun

"Alright you three" Henry looked at Ren's group. "Follow me, we need to be in position to enter or retreat on signal". Henry's group of Ren, Mike, and Lucian would go to the right entrance.

"Lets all be careful, alright". Keiko spoke now, taking her group to the left entrance, Saya going back beneath the tree where she had been meditating beforehand.

The next ten minutes for the Gamers would be to get out any last discussions of abilities, questions to the Enforcers with them, or perhaps take care of any last minute preparations that they needed to do. For now, the operation had begun
Reno just looked up at Jake as he was carried, glad that they were running away. He wasn't one for battle, as fighting always hurt everyone involved, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally. He never understood why people fought. Why people desired to be stronger than others. Why couldn't everyone just live in peace? These thoughts went through Reno's head as he focused on replenishing both his Mana and Oner's Spirit. It was all of this that made him off guard when that Elven woman suddenly appeared, as Reno was always quick to react to anything. The moment she attacked, everything went dark.

Fortunately attacking the marks in a physical matter didn't actually do any more damage than attacking his actual body would. If anything, it was focusing there that saved Reno from taking more damage than he would have. Granted only a minuscule amount, but every bit counted. After they were deposited and left alone, Reno being unconscious, a flash of light would envelope his body, Oner now lying in his place as he slowly sat up, clenching his fists. "Heal". With a wave of his hand, the powerful healing of multiple curaja spells ran over the whole party as Oner spent every drop of Mana that his fully recharged mana reservoirs possessed to aid the others in healing their wounds, fatigue, and pain, even able to use this on Reno by touching the mark on his forehead.

After that, Oner said nothing, closing his eyes as he turned inwards to his thoughts, or his and Reno's, as he meditated and focused his body, mind, and spirit. Was this journey truly for them? Two people who wish to fight to protect others, yet both who dislike battle? He remembered something that Serin, their foster father, had once told him. That no matter what sort of craft or trade, be it magic, swords, or even cooking; there is always someone out there who is better than you. These words struck true more than ever. Their opponents had been easily falling to Reno's incredible magical might before, and the enemies here were no match for his and Reno's newly combined might.

Had he grown arrogant? Were they arrogant to always hold back in fear of hurting anyone? No matter where Oner traversed in the vast expanse of their mind, there was no true answer to this question that he could come up with right away. Should they discard there desire to not harm others, a hypocritical desire? All of these thoughts were moving through Oner's head, the light swirling through the marks on his body like a slow, yet turbulent storm as he contemplated and meditated.
