Also if you want to be a tank chara like a templar, I recommend raising your STR more. You'll get more HP plus you'll indeed be able to use things like shields more efficiently. STR is also required to wear and move effectively in armor (which you all will get access to down the road).

Get your Wis/Int (although which one you raise will give you a different skill, I am not going to give the specifics) up high enough as well as raise your Focus Talent up more. Note though your chara doesn't know this. I am just telling you, the player. (essentially, don't use this knowledge to metagame. I am not saying that you will, I am just saying that I have given knowledge like this out before in some of my much older RPs a long time ago and someone metagamed with it and it pissed me off).
