It's race as in species, if you wish to include Race as in skin if yours is a human then go right ahead, otherwise it's just species because the city is massively diverse making all kinds of things you don't normally se. I have re-read the 3 books in the past like 4 days (1 book a day with a break at the end lol) in order to refresh my memory on some of the world's lore and on some of the cannon characters sense their NPCs in regards to the rp.

not sure which thing ur reading lol, no one had a character named Alex. at lest not from what i'm reading Aria had Annalyn lol.
my first ooc post has all the names besides 2 that was accepted and i don't see an alex.

That isn't specifically what i meant. i didn't mean base as in just Red Blue and Green. one reason because then there wouldn't be much of different in the magic then, and even if it is a mix of any of those 3 doesn't have to be specifically attuned to them entirely. similar traits sure but isn't completely dependent on the other colors, and technically not sure how you can balance Wild and Calm which pretty much are polar opposites. If it was literally just those 3 types there would be no real variety which i was hoping to accomplish. Base colors mean each of the different colors themselves. Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Black, White, Yellow, Etc....

Basically by Mix of the base colors i mean like example: Pale-Blue. it's somewhat mix of White and Blue but without it being an entirely different color, or Shade of the original colors. Yours is trying to be Redish-Blue, or Blueish-Red, a mix of red and blue that doesn't create purple yet has similar qualities to the original blue and red.

..you really just confused me on trying to explain your source...

book had an outside source as part of his primary but isn't all that's in the sheet. it's what will become his primary when his character learns more in controlling energy and everything. but also added in a source of magic within his character, and gave bit of a reason as to why the character's primary would be an outside source once we reached to the point in the rp where his character learns how to use an outside source.

and people still have to create a path for their magic to flow in terms of where they wish it to go, sense they can't just grab the energy and use it, because it'll become instantly unstable and blow up in their face with a 75% chance of killing them.. at one point in training sure people will be able to do it without having to focus for a few moments and just do it on instinct but that'll be a while, and by that point most if not everyone will be able to do it.

I want to join, but before I post my character sheet I have a question: pertaining to the Race, are you going for something like human, elf Etc. or are you going normal like Hispanic, Caucasian Etc. I haven't read the book and just want to clarify so I can make a proper character sheet.

hm.. there be bound to be people like that sense not everyone can use magic, makes sense some. and seeks to give a scientific reason as to why some people can and why some can't or what ever, trying to find a scientific way about magic, even if there may not be any.

Even though most people die not because their unsuitable but because of themselves. of course most don't understand what it takes and so they just want to become powerful and it destroys them. even if they survive the ritual, they can still die during training.

it kind of fits and everything. alright currently I don't see anything completely wrong about it, so the character is accepted. that'll make 3 characters who have made it so far. including one who was only discussed in PM currently.

cool, did you need me to change my characters name by the way, I noticed in the old RPG there was already someone named Alex, so if they want to join and use that name. I can change it. I believe it was RomanAria who used the name. I think, I'll need to check.

one thing i just noticed of you history is talking about his doctor father using time magic, one thing i did like is how you didn't say he simply speed, reversed, or slowed time or what ever. no he did 'personal time' in other words he speed up the body's responses instead of time itself. that works a lot better in a good balance to not cause time magic to be a forbidden magic. BUT there is specifically Healing magic.... that can do that and more without causing a person to become older and lose parts of their life because of their body's time was shortened some.

I personally think if his father is a Magic Doctor, (which there isn't a crap tone of magic users just so you know so it's not a common thing 75% of the people die from simply attempting it even if they come from a family that has magic users in it) he would be more using just healing magic sense Time magic is more complicated subject, and if he only knows one kind of magic it probably wouldn't be an advance type.

Which would also explain why they'd send him away to learn (incase you started to think that if they lived in a magical family they could just learn from them) sense 1. wouldn't want to see him die in front of them by their own hands.. and 2. Masters who teach others (which is a good amount.. considering how few there are) tend to be over hundreds of years old because of one reason or another thanks to magic.

So either offer some insight about that bit in the history or change it to fit a better suited ideal. then i'll do a quick re-read and you'll be accepted.

I edited the history. since there are few magic users in the world, I changed his father to a normal human. however, I kind of made into one of those people who wanted to find a scientific reason for why people use magic and how magic works. one of those people who believes in it, but knows it's not just "magic", but a more scientific reason to how magic works.

it's alright, like i said it is simply one of the new additions I've made sense the original so i figured it would have some confusing moments. Just like i should figure for Talent lol, in the original rp about 85% of the people who joined messed that up lol.

most likely over thinking it again.... it's just the nature of magic inside of themselves. it could be totally opposite to who they are, it could be the exact same. It doesn't affect what they can use magic for. it only affects 2 things. 1. the color the magic is in it's pure form. and 2. how it reacts when you try to use it. which makes it more difficult or easier to channel magic.

ok, it more of a connection to the magic? if I'm thinking right. So the reason why he is better at using lightning is because he adores thunder storms because he loves watching the lightning dance in the sky. or am I still over thinking this?
