Blade waved casually to Oliver as the tiger called over to him, giving a small smile at his comment. "I'll take my chances, man," he called back. "They ain't managed it yet, among all the other damn things that've tried".
Venessa and Winter rolled up next, not too far after one another, and the fox stood up as the buxom snow leopard addressed him from ground level. "We'll get ta th' bottom of it one way or another. An' the engineerin' crew on the Claw is top notch. I'm sure they'll have yer pal there runnin' like a dream in no time flat. An' y'all are right too - a nice cold drink does sound pretty good ta unwind about now too" he tilted his head with a grin and a knowing smile as she took a sip from her hip flask. "Ah reckon there might be somethin' tucked away in mah personal supplies I can share around".
Winter turned up a few moments later and introduced herself, and the fox scrambled down the back of his GEAR, using the built-in handholds to reach ground level, before nodding and throwing a casual salute to the vixen.
"And nice ta meet you too. I was very impressed with yer performance on th' field. I'd heard about y'all before, and I'm glad ya decided to take up the offer to join. Hopefully though, when we get out in th' field, things oughta be a lot less, uh... 'restricted'".

It'd be nice to be able to *play* an RP I'm interested in for once, rather than having to *run* one all the time. Of course, doesn't help that I'm picky about what I enjoy.

I've been roleplaying in one form or another since the late '90's. I've played as many tabletop games as I have online ones, and the quality of both has varied wildly.
I have an active imagination, and I love immersive, descriptive roleplaying. My genres of choice are sci-fi, and modern-day (with a sci-fi twist). I like RP's that mix reality with fiction, and throw an unusual and exciting twist into an otherwise normal setting - something like Stargate SG-1 would be an example, or Battle: Los Angeles. An almost recognizable world, but with some sci-fi twists.
I'm a fan of military and action-based RP's that do this especially, and they are easily my favourite - though I rarely see any that appeal to me enough - all the military RP's are too 'plain', and anything else modern day is usually fantasy or fandom. Or *shudder* school RPs...
I have a lot of fandoms; Transformers, Macross, MLP: FiM, Fallout, Battletech, Ace Combat, and others to varying degrees. But I don't often join fandom RPs because the ones I'm into don't come up, or I am very picky about my RPs and their plots and feel.
I don't play in free, as I find the short posts and bad spelling and grammar infuriating. I like a lot of depth, story, setting and character to my RPs, so am usually found in Casual and sometimes Advanced. Though, usually running my own RPs.
I'm 44 years old, and live in the UK, so I may not be on all the time.
I also like playing non-human characters, especially anthro ones, robots or synthetics, or some hybrid of both.
Outside of my RP tastes and hobby; I read a lot of books, play wargames and TTRPGs, make model aircraft and vehicles, and am also a brony and furry. I have been running a large local furmeet group for the last 10 years and have been involved in running a very successful UK MLP convention.

As Silverwind reached the command trailer, in formation with the others, he listened in as they spoke on the squad network. As expected, everyone had picked up on the unusual and abrupt end to the exercise. It would've been hard not to, of course, considering how soon and sudden it had stopped, after all.
"Yer not wrong, team," he replied. "Ah reckon there's prolly somethin' more'n we're seein' here, an' hopefully we'll get some insight in this debrief. An' if not, I'll do some snoopin' an' see what I can find out. Ken, land with th' rest of us here, th' debrief applies to y'all as much as any of us. An' I dunno, man - mebbe we coulda, but I reckon it woulda cost us our GEARs or a few of us woulda got zeroed tryin'. Either way, it'll be different when we're in the field an' that's fer sure".
Shutting down the Harlock after putting the GEAR into a crouch, he opened the hatch. Unstrapping himself and removing his helmet, the vulpine climbed out and perched on the shoulder, patting the machines' head affectionately before fishing a cigar out of his load-bearing vest. Tapping it out of the metal tube, he re-lit the stubby cigar and took a pull, sighing as the rich taste filled his muzzle. He glanced over to the others as they arrived, waving to them as they came to a stop around him.

It was fine with me. I'll get a post up tomorrow as well, at some point.
"Ah, Miku," Vigdis replied, obviously getting the hang of the shorter name much easier. "Well, hopefully you will have much chances to explore, with this assignment. I hope I will also". She gave a slight frown and touched one hand briefly to her stomach.
"Hmm, I think dinner was mentioned... maybe we should head that way, and see who else we come across, yes?"
Gesturing for Miku to follow her, she lead the way. "I have been here a little longer, so please; follow me?"
As she got outside she nodded toward a hangar not too far off, and the Splinter-patterned Viggen parked outside, canopy down and safety tags in place.
"There is my ride. She's not as new as some, but goes very fast, and she's agile. And has many weapon options too. I hope it will be a good fit with the rest of you".

I dip in and out of the UK Fur board, but there's no RP section on there, it's more to keep in contact with people and find out about local meetups etc. I haven't really done any 'furry rp boards' because yeah, they do all seem like threadbare excuses for not-sexy sex time.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I'll get a post up sometime in the next couple of days - not going to rush it, as there's not a huge amount that needs doing at the moment, and people can then get posts up first in they want to!
No problems! I figured it was something like that. I've had a rather hectic couple of weeks myself. Everything at my workplace is going topsy-turvy, and it's been crushingly tiring as a result, and things at home are rather grinding as well, due to problems with my partners' employment. But we're getting through, and have got to a quiet patch for a while, too.
Go ahead and post, that would be great - I think your idea sounds fine, and we can totally get start from there. I'm interested to see what you come up with and how it goes!
