It'd be nice to be able to *play* an RP I'm interested in for once, rather than having to *run* one all the time. Of course, doesn't help that I'm picky about what I enjoy.

Bio

I've been roleplaying in one form or another since the late '90's. I've played as many tabletop games as I have online ones, and the quality of both has varied wildly.
I have an active imagination, and I love immersive, descriptive roleplaying. My genres of choice are sci-fi, and modern-day (with a sci-fi twist). I like RP's that mix reality with fiction, and throw an unusual and exciting twist into an otherwise normal setting - something like Stargate SG-1 would be an example, or Battle: Los Angeles. An almost recognizable world, but with some sci-fi twists.
I'm a fan of military and action-based RP's that do this especially, and they are easily my favourite - though I rarely see any that appeal to me enough - all the military RP's are too 'plain', and anything else modern day is usually fantasy or fandom. Or *shudder* school RPs...

I have a lot of fandoms; Transformers, Macross, MLP: FiM, Fallout, Battletech, Ace Combat, and others to varying degrees. But I don't often join fandom RPs because the ones I'm into don't come up, or I am very picky about my RPs and their plots and feel.

I don't play in free, as I find the short posts and bad spelling and grammar infuriating. I like a lot of depth, story, setting and character to my RPs, so am usually found in Casual and sometimes Advanced. Though, usually running my own RPs.

I'm 43 years old, and live in the UK, so I may not be on all the time.
I also like playing non-human characters, especially anthro ones, robots or synthetics, or some hybrid of both.

Outside of my RP tastes and hobby; I read a lot of books, play wargames and TTRPGs, make model aircraft and vehicles, and am also a brony and furry. I have been running a large local furmeet group for the last 10 years and have been involved in running a very successful UK MLP convention.

The strategy Blade had planned out was working. As Mike's rounds began to pepper the convoy, they started to spread out and halt, forming a defensive circle - but that maneuver was shattered as the Javelin missiles screamed in from overhead and further threw the formation into chaos. Though the barrage didn't cause as much (simulated) destruction as hoped, the effect was enough to pin the group, and co-ordinated perfectly with the fire-and-maneuver Blade had directed. The Roughriders team was now in place to outflank the 'hostiles'. As they moved, Blade fired the mortar on his machines' shoulder with precise changes of elevation and timing, a quartet of rounds thumping out of the tube in rapid succession to arrive all at the same time, two hi-ex and two AP to land squarely on the vehicles and dismounted troops. Another pair of trucks went down, before practice small-arms and mounted machine-gun rounds lashed back at the attacking team. Silver weaved and bobbed between the sparse cover, opening fire with his autocannon and head-mounted guns in reply, replying to Kradis' words with a clipped 'Roger, keeping you covered. Raisa, suppress the far end of the convoy. Nawlin, move up to close range. I'll provide covering fire".
Another pair of rounds from the mortar; smoke to screen the advance and a screen of chaff to disorient the sensor picture as the vulpine covered his allies movement.

You're far too worried about what other people think of your posts and whether you're doing the 'right' thing or not. Running an RP (from my end) is mostly about reacting to what the players do anyway, and adapting to suit that. You should just do what you think your character would do, rather than waiting to run everything by someone. That's more acting to a script, than playing out your character.

Makes sense - then we don't have to catch up on what we've been doing :P
Since we're in a training area, you and Slypheed could be at a mobile command post nearby watching things, outside of the combat area, which is how you could be introduced afterward. We could even introduce both of you a little earlier with that idea. Shoot me a PM with what you're thinking, and we'll work something out.

I'm waiting for some of the others to post before I move things on with the battles. Obviously, having set up a strategy for the assault, I now need people to act on it for us to move on >.<;;
