Kosara

Location: Camlann City, Ellington Plaza Theatre

"Huh..." Kosara mumbled when she realized what the enemies were. THey were flying and floating and noisy. She grimaced for a moment before she tossed the warg head to the side at the seats, having it neatly fall right in the middle of one, as if watching hte impossible to see movie right now. She then pulled her sword and dodged away as more blasts of air came in her direction. The darkness was kind of not nice at this situation. At hte theatre hall it was pretty dark overall even with the movie projector running, it didn't illuminate much without the screen to actually reflect the light. She frowned again as she dodged by virtue of her other senses, mainly she used hte sound the banshees were making as they were attacking at her which mostly sounded like draft across a corridor.

She tried shooting at htem, but it didn't seem to be hitting." Ohh... so... ghosts wanabes." She added and dodged again, slashing at another one that she just sensed above herself, but it wasn't physical so her demonic sword passed through it like it wasn't there, instead to be met with a terrifying sound attack of sorts that caused her ears to hurt like mad and forced her to dodge as far away in a single move as she could."... guns don't work and getting close to static ones don't work... What's the weak point?"

With that confirmed, she noticed that whenever they swoop down to attack her up close, they seem to be interracting with the enviroment which in this case was getting the theatre seats destroyed. So that was the moment to attack. She nodded and dashed towards hte middle lane before aiming her gun and shooting at hte hinges of the door to the entry hall htat was still illuminated, getting a line of light into the movie hall. To her pleasant surprise one of the banshees tried to go for her at the same time, getting a metaphorical deer in headlight look as it got put in it's place. It staggered and she realized something was up, and followed with a dash and a slash, up from the top down to the bottom in one single move, splitting it in two. It wasn't really alive for her to confirm, but she gave it designation dead since there wasn't any activity of it anymore. The others weren't making the same mystake though, they stood out of hte light, so Kosara dashed at them instead.

She dashed, dodged and jumped, delivering hails of bullets at the other 2 until one of them got triggered enough to make a dive for her, turning physical in the process as it got close. Kosara took the chance using her armored gauntlet proceeded to dodge to the side, finally getting enough momentum to leave phantoms and then delivered a devastating punch to the creature before it could turn incorporeal again, staggering it for a good moment, which she used to split it in two and then 2 as she swung at it twice. The last Banshee screamed, causing her ears to hurt, but it didn't get close no matter how she baited it. It just screamed at her and kept away from the reach of her sword. This wasn't working out well, so she decided to go for it once more. She sped up, ran up the wall, arriving by the enemy. It reacted right awya by screeming to get rid of her. She had to admit it was rather painful, but she had an ace up her sleeve. Her earbuds were blasting music at top volume so it didnt disable her as much, despite the pain and she allowed herself to 'slip' and drop on the ground.

Taking hte cue that it's prey was rendered harmless for a moment, the banshee dove for her, but this was what she had planned and as it arrived by her, it was met by the sudden upward slash from the huge sword, cleaving it again into two pieces. Two pieces she right away slashed at again. Having dealt with 3 of htem, she carefully looked around, eyes looking about for another enemy, it wasn't until she confirmed no other banshee was appearing, that she took a breath of relief and proceeded to wipe some blood from the corner of her mouth." Damn... bit myself..." She cursed in embarassement. She had indeed bitten her lip when she faked the slip and fell down.

Darkness... it was so damn dark in here right now. While the presence of hte voices of hte rest of the occupants of the attic gave in a level of reassurance that she wasn't alone in here, it also made the place rather unnerving. The way people could be around, but you couldn't see any of them. Hell she couldn't see her own hands even! It was going to get colder fast, and there wasn't a way out found yet. Well Titian seemed to have gotten out, so at least one door might be open? She looked around in vain, as her hand was placed on her injured leg. Everyone seemed to have their own task they were wanting to do, but they more or less denied the possibility of calling someone to come with a light.

"Be careful with that bed, it didn't look like the safest thing!" Rave called back to Walnut when the woman said she was going to be checking the bed. She was concerned about the survival of hte people here even if she wasn't as approving of some of their behaviors. With the others going for hte doors, she wondered why Walnut was going for the bed instead though. What sort of tool would the bed have? Honestly on this she was in agreement with Penance, they needed some light, or even if they left the attic it would be hard. Like how would htey go down the stairs without a light? Since she wasn't going to be moving much right now, she tried to figure out a way to maybe get a light going. There surely was a way to get some sparks or something to get a fire going!

" If only there was a flint and steel..." She mumbled as she tried remembering and thinking of other ways to maybe get those sparks. She was ready to burn a piece of her clothing if she had to.

Constantin didn't reply to Veta's comment, but he gave a silent nod to it even if she wouldn't be able to see it. Despite everything, he had to once more remind himself that soulless weren't really brainless animals. The assumtion that they would have attacked held little value especially since many of the soulless were fully capable of cooking up schemes. Some of them did seem to continue to possess some sentience and hell even animals could be scheming. Wolves for one easily hunted in packs which by nature was a plan. He was forced to recall the flying multiheaded icy bastard of a creature that nearly killed them. That one put up a fog to hinder visibility and hinder people and then also bailed for unknown reason. Yeah Veta was right, figuring out the minds of Soulless was a fruitless task and one that was not for humans.

"Sadly, Ludwig died with many ansvers." Constantin said quietly as he sighed." When it happened, I had just asked him to try to identify that thing that attacked you by the lake. I still felt that it's appearance at that time was of importance." The firewalker explained to Veta as they rode forward. The haze didn't seem to be vanishing and THAT was just plain weird. It wasn't relaly too hindering, he would have been concerned if it was fog, but with the way this was, he just felt curious. He seriously pondered what Ludwig would have had to comment on it, had he not met that unfortunate fate earlier.

"Ohh... there's the church? Good." Constantin commented as he saw the building some distance away. At least the chuch was reasonably and logically located in the town. This was at least something good he could say about this place so far. Be it bad food, crazy seas, scary monsters, and dangerous events, overall Constantin didn't have much of a pleasant or good impressions of these lands. People were somewhat nice most of the time, but the rest of it...

Priscilla let out a soft laughter at the captain's expression and reaction to her little speech about the Occult. Apparently she found herself an unbeliever. Nothing bad with that, it was his personal right to choose so. Besides she didn't actually have proof it was an occult event, unless she actually found something or someone being brought back from the land of the dead. Now if that did happen, and she made the captain oversee the whole process, she wondered if he would believe then, but honestly she couldn't really tell what might be happening in actuality. After all, was someone tryign to pull something from the dead on the ship? That was also the reason she suggested the captain to send someone around to ask people around hte port too.

"Well, it might be gas..." Priscilla shrugged her shoulders." But isn't that thing more or less bad for us? If it's really is gas, won't we get kind of dead or sick if we stay here?" She asked with a raised eyebrow, eyeing hte captain, looking for a proper answer from him on this.

"Hey doc, I know to leave you to your work and all that, but when can I move?" She asked with a sort of tired voice. As much as tired and frankly not really comfortable she felt, sitting here with all these hazy vision stuff going on was a little too much." Like I would love it if I could instead go somewhere on the open air deck and sit there? Will that be alright with you captain? That way I will be out of the way of your crew while they do their tasks around the rest of the ship." She suggested to the captain.

Thank god the briefing had more or less ended with the explanation from Thana. Amelia was really grateful to Riley as her love tried to comfort her, but this briefing brought to the surface too much painful things she was trying to avoid for a long while now, things she was struggling to deny or to never think about. As she was silently trembling a lil, she was recalling their faces, of those who vanished with that collapse and of those who vanished afterwards too. Amelia couldn't help, but recall Ray. The poor guy, she basically dragged him out of the ruins and yet he wasn't with them anymore because of a fickle play from fate... luck... karma? There was a saying that Karma was a bitch, she never understood the extent of it until the apocalypse came.

She quietly just followed Panama out of the Briefing and all the way back to the Conference Room, once inside she didn't go back to the tv. She didn't even bring her chair, instead just found herself a nice spot by the wall and kept quiet, emotions stirred a tad out of control for the moment, she needed to sort them out, but the memories weren't cooperating at all. Now that it's been stirred, she was recalling people...

She hugged her knees and hid her face into them, quiet. She was going to go visit Jame's grave when a chance presents itself, that much she made her mind on, that was the least she could do now that she knew for sure he was here, but how should she deal with these emotions that were stirred up? The sadness, the loss, the regret and the pain they had experience in the wake of Newnan's fall. Sometimes even now she could hear it all whenever she closes her eyes, or she would dream of it too. In her silence she contemplated if something would happen to this place also... a tsunami maybe? It was technically safer here than outside in the wild, but... was it really when it all came down to it? Was anywhere safe? Suddenly she kind of wished to go back to the bedrooms...

It wasn't really unexpected, given it was the only way of interracting with the rest, but suddenly the chatter felt like it had increased. People were speaking out and expressing their opinions once more. The sounds of people in the room, certianly beat not having any voices though, it this was complete silence, well it would have been really scary experience, being locked in a completley dark and silent room, not knowing what was out htere. With people talking, at least you could get a feel that you weren't alone. She frowned as the people in the room started accusing Titian right away again. Well yes he did break out a door and by the sounds of it left them behind, but could he really be blamed if all these people were accusing him like this still?

Though that said, it's not like she couldn't understand their point to a degree. Still as far as she had seen the man act until now, he didn't seem like someone who if he wanted to hurt you would do so by underhanded means. He seemed like a direct kind of guy to her and he did help her earlier, so she wasn't really willing to blindly blame him for this mess, so on that count she was in disagreement with the others who voiced such opinions.

Anywas, she also spotted the fact that it was getting kind of colder now. Only now she realized, yeah... fires were out across the manor, so there was not constant source of hot air to warm the confinement and well... this was the attic sort of, was it not? Above them was only the roof and tiles, they wasn't much to isolate them from the cold outside. She frowned as her hands grasped in the darkness, only to find her animal in her lap still, so that was nice. Taking it carefully she blindly put it in her pocket again, as to not lose it in this darkness.

"Well... I'm having harder time moving... and I'm sort of in the middle of the wall without a door so..." Prima Rave said as people seemed to agree that locating the doorways was the course to follow for hte moment. She didn't really want to go outside without someone from the manor to be present, but well... neither did she want to freeze to death later." Maybe we can call out to someone to come with a light?" She asked." I mean they probably would want to keep an eye on us in this darkness after all, right?" She suggested and with that said she slowly and carefully started to attempt to stand up at least. Using the wall behind herself to lean on, she put as much weight as she could on her healthy leg, as to not strain the injured one.

"Mmmhmmmm." Mosi nodded as the captain confirmed he too was experiencing this for real. She had rubbed her eyes and well it wasn't helping any. At most it only made her slightly uncomfortable because of how her body was feeling. She blinked and looked about before rolling her eyes." Yeah it's one of THOSE days again..." She sighed and reached with a hand to her stomach, still moving somewhat not as well because of the swelling, but hopefully whatever the doctor was injecting her would be helping with that soon. She pulled the edge of her shirt up as far as she could to display the brand on her body." See this? Would you believe me if I told you that it just appeared out of nowhere? Yeah, was walking down a street adn suddenly searing pain and I had a new fancy symbol on my body." She added." So I guess my point is that at least the haze isn't painful..." She added with a laugh as she suddenly recalled something.

"Hmmm... talking about hte weird and unexplainable... there I seem to recall something about a haze like this before." She mumbled and narrowed her eyes in thinking manner." Well this might sound more than a little weird, but I seem to recall some occult knowledge I read or heard about, can't quite recall where. It's a hobby." She added with a grin." Anyways, supposedly something like this was bound to happen whenever the dead were being raised!" Mosi started to explain with as most mysterious and dramatic voice as she could, before stiffling a chuckle." Well... at least that's what I've heard... or was it read? Not sure, probably should write it all down in a journal from now on. Seems interesting."

"Anyways that's under the pretext that the occult is real, which given the near curse like happenings around this trip so far, I'm currently very willing to believe in. Also we should totally check if hte other people on board and around the ship are experiencing it too. " She shrugged and looked at the captain, finding it fun how he was looking hazy as well." By the way... while we were away, did something interesting happen on board? I mean the obvious unconscious doctor and missing patients aside?"

"Right." Constantin said as he heard the confirmation from Veta and nodded as he ushered the horse ever forward towards their destination which should be the center of town. If towns followed normal town logic, important places were usually at town center. Who knew, they might even find that Vlad was at town center waiting by the church that was sitting in the middle of town? Constantin was reasonably convinced that it probably wouldn't be that easy. After all nothing about these lands had suggested to him that these people valued sensible logic.

"I have never seen or even heard of something quite like this." Constantin commented as they were moving, paying really close attention to surroundings and well Veta who was holding onto him with one arm for security on riding behind him. He could see the people of the town panicking as well. This was just getting really weird. It didn't match any soulless events he was familiar with. At first when haze appeared he was pondering if it could be that flying bastard with the fog again, but well this haze wasn't the same as that fog. So it probably wasn't the flying bugger that nearly drowned them. That fog was neigh, no impossible to see through.

"Vhy are all these people experiencing this, ve included? I originally thought it might be a soulless, but... if it vas, they vould have attacked someone already, right?" He asked Veta, eyes pearing still at the hazy surroundings. There was a certain degree of beauty in this seemingly hazy world right now. It made the surroundings look unearthly and to a small degree mystic. Still that did not make him lower his guard any! As far as he was aware, this could very well be just the prelude to a storm.

Amelia was really wondering why they had called them, before arriving in the briefing. Ash was already here and so was Beatrice. She also spotted Thana and Gunny, so what was this about? She was curious and slightly concerned as she took herself a seat to listen to the explanation or should she call it briefing nowdays? It was called a briefing room after all and they were located at a mostly military ran location. Anyways, her confusion lasted not too long before the now scarred Thana started her speech.

Parts of the speech were affected her more than others, for example the one about the Eden Squad didn't bring her attention too much, at least until it got to Newnan. From there everything was just a roadtrip down to hell as memories started to resurface once more. She just turned quiet as she was listening to what was being told down to all details. The cause, the effects and the aftermath. It all brought memories that she didn't want to recall, but they were still so livid inside her head. Closing her eyes, she could still hear the rumbling and see the devastation happening before her very eyes. It was overwhelming as she gripped the edges of the chair to the point her knuckles were white, silently trembling in it. Eyes darting about the room, searching for evidence that everything was going to hell yet again. When she closed her eyes, she could almost heard the rumbling happening...

Suddenly Amelia really wanted to get away from the room and hide somewhere or maybe just go in the middle of a fucking grass field instead. The revelation that it was no one's fault made things only worse, because at this point if it truly was an act of god, well... didn't the damn bastard have enough of their suffering already!? Why didn't he just end it all already!? Amelia hide her face in her palms for a moment before she started rubbing her temples. She wished this to end faster as she couldn't help it as all the information given was on a constant playback loop inside her head. The more she tried to not htink the more she brought it to the surface.

Finally the last bit of news just was the drop too much. James was burried around here too, yet another person added to the long list of rare friends that had slipped away and there was no way to avoid it now. She hadn't dared to bring to the surface of her memories him and the others from Newnan, that they lost back then, and yet today they were rudely brought forth in the limelight. She hid her face again for a moment, trembling." Can I... leave... now, please?" In the end she finally asked with trembling voice. She was sure she had gotten over it... she thought so, convinced herself. She didn't think about it... didn't dare think about it, because if she did, she'd have to face it again.

Rave was tired at this point and she honestly couldn't see why people were trying to head out and risk earning hte ire of the owners of hte Manor. Even had she not been injured, she wouldn't want to risk it, but the situation in the Attic seemed to be gettever ever more fiery? She really wondered why these people couldn't just act nice, what would getting in danger or running amok gain? She was about to open her mouth and ask why they thought getting out would be a good idea, when she heard music... What? Where was that coming from? She blinked in confusion, why was there music? Then the lights started flickering before going out." Why!?" She cried out as all descended into darkness, was this her luck for the day? Flying chairs, dying people, stabbing herself and now ending in complete darkness with a bunch of strangers?

She quickly thought about the situation, trying not to panic, but was reassured by the hard wall behind her back, still she did try to pull her legs back as much as she could, but she couldn't really easily do so with teh injured one because well it started to hurt when she tried to move it in any other position aside straightened. She frowned and forced herself to move the leg by using her hands until she could barely hug her knees, it wasn't pleasant, it hurt, but it was probably better than the possibility of someone trying to walk about and steppign on her leg or tripping over.

In the meantime she had heard Walnut ask if someone could get a light. Well Rave couldn't, so she didn't even speak out, mostly because there was also the issue with a really loud noise and crash, that sounded like something breaking, what was htat? Did someone try breaking open the door or did someone trip over the old bed and it broke down?" Is everyone alright?" She asked, trying to peer into the darkness and to listen well.

As she had asked that, she strained her head to go over the things in her mind. She had heard a clanging sound of possibly a doorknob hitting the floor. So a door was probably out for the count and they would have to break through it to use it. But... which door was it? There were two in the room after all. Suddenly she felt like Walnut's desire for light was indeed the best way to go.
