Gorun proceeded to take a step back and use the further range of his halberd to stab the murloc. While his armor would hold, it was better not to push his luck. He killed the murloc, and noticed the rest of them fled.

"I don't believe we have any wounded, mi'lady."

The knight recognized her from the village, along with the lone warrior. Had they formed into one group?

Sir Gorun of House Gravelbeard realized that she was talking about delivering him back to the village. The dwarf spoke as he headed over to pick up Lustro, "I'm sorry, but a knight has a duty to the realm, and my goal is likely where you are headed. Do you seek the Dark Stalker blade as well?"

Can I interject here and say that a post length is a really inaccurate measure of time? Like, some posts have hours passing between them wheras some have seconds?

Gorun joined in the fray, confident that he would win with the help of his allies. He tossed a golden coin into a pack of murloc, whispering something beneath his breath and then watching the coin let off an explosion. Lustro was one of his favorite creations, most often used to simply start fires.

The dwarf then joined the melee, using his halberd to crush the skeletons that stand within arms reach. "C'mon ye cowards, ye living shit of undeath!" The knight was somewhat curious about why some of his compatriots chose to use small swords to crush their opponents, but he chose not to say anything about that. He whacked off another Skeletons head, glad that the horde was thinning.

Gorun delayed, keeping his weapon close to him. While confident, perhaps some of the saviors in the previous village were heading the same route?

Gorun assisted in the takeover of the village, killing some of the raiders while new allies also appeared to help save the small town. The dwarvern knight was fairly confident that he could have handled his opponents solo, but the assaults from the other group were certainly helpful. The villagers went out to thank their saviors, heading out to a small party and another individual to thank them. Gorun decided that this was the time to slip out, and nodded to the few that thanked him while he passed by. It was better this way.

Gravelbeard planned to hop back on the cart, use his mules, and ride off into the sunset.

Okay, So it is just me, dragon, and black knight at the village right?

EDIT: and my cart is still in one piece.

Gorun stopped his cart and quickly tossed the remainder of his armor on. The longsword and a stab from a spear might see success against the chain areas of his armor, but the knight knew that short swords and the other weapons would utterly fail against it. And that wasn't accounting for any of the protective enchantments placed on each individual piece in the chain. Seeing the well armored hobgoblin leading the raid, Gorun sheathed his mythril sword into his belt, grabbed a halberd, hopped off the cart and tied his transportation to a nearby tree.

He checked to make sure all the chests were locked an bolted down before leaving, and then mildly wishing that someone would attempt to steal it in his absence. They would fail of course, but it would be well worth the mess he would have to clean up afterwards.

Gorun began to approach the village, not attempting to sneak in nor attempting to make his presence known. They were busy fighting the minimal resistance there, and wouldn't pay too much attention to the village surroundings.
