I'm adding a couple of small details here. You may recall I was thinking about a design for the Defenders of the E-6, its private military force. I had something in mind, but I've decided something along the lines of the following will do the job:

Defenders

I hope others are content with the design. I'm also adding something for the Novus Ordo. Their clothing may vary, but they each share the following tattoo on some area of their body, as well as on an item of clothing to show their allegiance to their group.

I'd like your thoughts regarding the opening of our story. We can begin around the point of the Novus Ordo explosion and proceed with optional flashback posts, or cover a brief chapter based on prior events exclusive to our characters. These would be entirely solo posts, based almost six months prior to current events. I'm thinking it could cover the first five days after The Ark's departure, a very significant period for the human race. It's a time when our characters are most likely unaware of the E-6's failure (excluding Girlie1Bomba), and so states of mind could be very different. Alternatively, we could cover a chapter based on prior events, only after our characters have caught wind of the E-6's possible presence. Either way, it's likely to be a short chapter, but an option to put some more story behind our characters before moving into current events.

The Defenders

The Defenders are an elite military force tasked with the protection of Ark ships, including the Endeavour Six. They are the world's very best soldiers and have been ultimately recruited to serve on Mars. They wear and operate relatively simple gear with small but effective enhancements, including the reduction of muscle fatigue, the improvement of shot accuracy, and better protection against the elements and long range bullets. The uniform also includes a protective helmet that provides a communication system, air filtration said to improve air flow under pressure, and improved vision and detection of targets. Their weaponry may vary depending on their assignment, but every weapon is a modern enhancement of a classic weapon. Enhancements include everything from better stability to increased rates of fire.

Novus Ordo

Nobody seems certain of when Novus Ordo came into existence, seeming to spawn from nowhere. They are a military-power with no identifiable leader, made up especially of ex-soldiers, gang members, and those willing or forced to join their rule. Their numbers accelerated at a dramatic pace, in part because of the mass of resources they had come to acquire, including medicines and quality weaponry. They seek no more than to spread their influence and oppress what remains of the dying world, determined to claim what's left as their own.

The Novus Ordo has spread throughout various regions of North America, claiming territories and developing bases and camps. Its members do not share a uniform, but rather a relatively standard insignia of a skull and snake, which is tattooed on their bodies and marked on their uniforms.

I figured as much, but you know what they say about assuming and all that. I'mma see if I can cobble together a CS and get that last spot yall have. I'm thinking I might base heavily off of, if not entirely recycle, an old character that never got to see the light of IC that focused around Drones and the tinkering thereof. More or less a guy that just scrapes together whatever scrap he can find to keep his lil' buddy going, and otherwise takes whatever job he can find that pays well enough for him to eat, legal or not.

This seems like something that might be up my alley. Though I do have to clarify, short term goal here is getting aboard the E-6? And I would assume that seats are limited, and our characters wouldn't be on the guest list?

Pretty much. I'm not looking to rush getting on the ship if I can avoid it, as I'd like us to spend some quality time on a not so quality Earth, but getting on board is the initial goal for our characters. One of the other stories I'd like to cover further down the line is major conflict on the ship itself. When it becomes known that Mars isn't a possible target, there will be a conflict of opinions in regards to what should be done. This will lead to someone trying to claim control of the ship and gaining influence from some of the military on board.

I am interested. However, I haven't been in an advanced role play as of yet. but I had the idea of throwing in a wandering scavenger with some engineering background.
