I am very faintly interested in the Drakken and the Roving Traders. Too faintly to believe I could make high-quality efforts with either of them unfortunately.
well, if you're that interested in the Broken Lords, I could easily whip up a CS for another faction.
I'm in. Haven't played any of the Endless games, but I'll do a bit of research into Endless Legend. Broken Lords, here I come!
A wild arturn appears.
*Pokemon battle music begins to play* Also, you get all the bonus points for Blacker fucking Baron.
Name: Actual name- Ardee. Fake name- Thom Adonis Age: 32 Gender: Female, but currently disguised as a Male, as she's well aware of the power the opposite sex holds in the lands outside Kalesia Faction/Allegiance: Kalesian Empress(May she live forever) Relic Description: Ardee's relic is a tattoo of a quill pen. It can become an actual quill pen that never runs out of ink(due to drawing on Ardee's blood), and can bring whatever it draws to life. For drawings that are the actual size of the drawing in the book, it only requires blood. For something bigger than an inch or two, it requires the materials of whatever she's creating. For example, if she wrote down with her quill pen that what she was drawing was six feet tall and made of metal, she would need metal to create something six feet tall. As long as she has the materials she needs, she can essentially create characters. For example, she can draw the figure of a man. Off to the side, she can put his height, what he's made out of(flesh, earth, light, etc.), what his personality is like, and what his skills are. Unfortunately, if her ink doesn't give life to something in 24 hours it fades away, and when it does give life to something, it fades away as well. Appearance:
That's Ardee. Currently her face looks nothing like it does in the picture, a fake beard around her mouth and fake scars over her face. Dirt and grime cover her, and her hair is ragged and wild. She is not Ardee, the dignified Imperial Agent. She is Thom Adonis, crude mercenary for hire. Flaws: Combat- Ardee has basic training from her time in the camp, so she can hold off your average street thug, but anyone more skilled has her beat. Sensitive- Ardee is very, touchy about the subject of rape, and her own self esteem. Sometimes violently so. Doesn't like to be touched- Ardee tries to avoid people touching her at all costs. Dislikes Murder- Ardee, despite all her training, prefers to avoid killing people, if left with any other choice. Skills: Artist- Even before she gained her relic, Ardee was a skilled artist, be it changing how she looks, or simple painting. Actor- Ardee can fake just about anything, given the right tools. Fast- Ardee is very quick, both in the traditional sense of running, and the not so traditional sense of with a blade. Biography: Ardee has never known her parents. Her mother died at child birth, and her father was a foreigner who raped her mother then left. She grew up in an orphanage, feeling something was wrong with her despite repeated assurances that there was nothing wrong with her. She was a child of rape, a result of the sick mockery of worship. At best she was unclean at worst she was a living insult to the Goddess, and thus, the Empress(May she live forever). At the age of 12 she decided the simplest thing to do would be to redeem herself by serving the Empress(May she live forever) in the military. Hopefully she could gain a redemption in death. During her time there, she met a young man named Roan. The two became friends, despite it being obvious they were going into different factions of the Kalesian military. Ardee's talents lay more in espionage and deceit, while Roan's was more suited for the mauler cavalry. They managed to stay in touch when they went their separate ways, primarily through letters, and meeting face to face when they could. It was an imperfect system, but one that worked nonetheless. Ardee actually discovered her Relic by complete accident. She was researching in one of the libraries the Imperial Intelligence had and picked up a quill pen to write down notes from a book she was reading. The quill pen instantly tattooed itself onto her skin, giving Ardee no time to react. It was a peculiar sensation, and the silence was only broken by her heartfelt 'well, damn.' She couldn't do anything but report the event to her superiors, and be moved to another faction of the Empress's(may she live forever) military. As luck would have it, her Relic only increased her talents in the Imperial Intelligence force. Still, she spent some time learning how to control her new powers, and during that time, word of Roan Adonis's betrayal reached her. It was a hurtful, enraging blow. Upon learning of his betrayal to the Empress(may she live forever) and his subsequent escape, she begged her superiors the right to track him down and demand answers. Much to her relief, she was given that right. Personality/motivation: Ardee is usually reserved and dignified, keeping her true emotions a secret from everyone but her closest friends. When you can put on emotions like most people put on clothes, you tend to stop showing your true emotions for everyone to see. She's mistrusting of new people, thinking that they might have an agenda that they aren't showing. However once she's sure you're not going to betray her, and you're a friend, she's fiercely protective. Ardee never had many friends and she treasures the few she does. Right now however, her confusion and anger aren't faked. Roan was one of the most loyal people she knew. And to hear of his betrayal was a blow she was not prepared for. Right now she's unpredictable and emotionally unbalanced. Roan was one of her rocks, one of her foundations. Now she's found out that foundation is rotted and falling apart. Not good. Relations: She had a strong friendship with Roan Adonis before word of his betrayal reached her. Final Point - Secrets: Ardee is a child of rape. In a cruel twist of fate, she herself has been raped before, though no child came of it.
Eli grinned at the bartender, nodding, and his grin only widened even farther as Kuro approached him. Apparently the Rider had set aside the prejudices the entire band held against him. "I can get the chain cut, give me-" Then the girl yelped and Eli winced as Walkins, as he had introduced himself, took a step towards the bar. Eli turned to see every Guildmember with a weapon in the room leveling it at the four newcomers. Shreckt had her own blade out, and dragged it across her palm. Rather than dripping off of her hand or blade as her blood welled, from the wound, it simply pooled in her hand. Shreckt waited for something to happen before she attacked, however. "Shit. No time for fancy tactics. At least this will be a qui-" Eli began to reach for his rifle as he spoke, only to abruptly stop talking as his gun disappeared into the hand's of the boy. Before Eli could do much more than draw the pistol on his hip, the gun was fired. Nothing happened. Despite this Eli only laughed aloud. This is going to be fun! He thought gleefully, pulling out his short sword as well. Kal, Lumin, Zaz, and Saruk all appeared behind him. Kuro immediately floated over to the twins, protectively circling around them. Eli laughed again as the man revealed himself to be an inquisitor. He only briefly noticed the robot murdering one of the thugs, focusing on the real threat. "Oh good!" He called, aiming at Walkins. "I'll certainly try my best, and succeed. Because I love killing Inquisition dogs!" He only shrugged at Helen as she thrust the rifle at him, leaving the useless weapon where it was. He hadn't meant for the kid to get the gun. Eli emptied the pistol at Walkins, Saruk increasing the piercing power of the second shot. Shreckt ignored the remaining thugs, who were obviously deciding living is better than dying, quite literally throwing her blood at the ice spirit. An unnaturally solid and long stream of blood floated horizontally at the spirit, before breaking apart into spikes of blood that flew at it. Shreckt swung her sword at Walkin's back. Lumin sighed, then breathed in deeply before spitting out a fire ball at the ice spirit. Zaz crackled with electricity for a moment, then shot a bolt at Walkins.
This will come in handy with my next post, as the thugs will now attempt to bribe Helen- because things are obviously going so well for them.
Aren't they at least a little nervous by the sound of the man with an unconscious and bloody body next to him loading a gun, the man who obviously preferred to be alone and people preferred to leave him alone walking towards Eli, and essentially the tension in the room skyrocketing and being focused on THEM? :p
Eli ignored the spirit robot, glaring at the spirit cat of Helen's. "Damn thing." He muttered under his breath, ignoring Shreckt's snicker. He turned back to the bar and got another shot glass, sliding over more money to pay for the shot glass and any other damage he may have caused to the bartender. The man took it with a sense of resigned familiarity, as if this wasn't the first time Eli had gotten in a fight in his bar, and he doubted it would be the last. He gestured to Shreckt, giving her free reign to pursue her conversation with the Kusagi. Sensing her opportunity the spirit took two steps towards the Red Hawks before she stopped as Eli and all the rest turned to see two twins walk in, give money to the bartender, and hide behind the bar. Eli could easily see them, and there was an actual, genuine smile on his face, even if it was a concerned one. Trouble. Stay where you are for now Shreckt. He ordered mentally. The spirit muttered something in Kusagi under her breath, which turned into a loud groan as Eli's prediction turned out right. If those thugs weren't the trouble he expected, he didn't know what to expect. Still, he refrained from making any aggressive movements. Taunting a Serpentine into a fight was one thing. Taunting what could be innocent men was another matter entirely. Even if he was a rude man, Eli still had scruples. These men could simply be workers wanting to refresh themselves in the bar. Looking at them, Eli somehow doubted it. But still, there was a chance they could be unrelated to the children. That notion was quickly shot down as one of them asked Helen about the whereabouts of the children. Eli's smile became much grimmer and if one of the children were to catch his eye, he'd wink at them. As he listened to Helen's answer he raised an eyebrow. Why would she not just say no in the first place? He saw a spirit materialize next to the children and speak softly to them. "Ah, you were always clever Hellcat." He said softly, primarily to himself. Shreckt, get ready for violence. I'm always ready.. Eli chuckled at her reply, before pulling out his steam rifle and setting on the bar counter. At first it looked like he was merely checking his gear and maintaining it. Then the ominous sound of a bullet sliding into the chamber came from it, and Eli pointedly looked at the bartender and gestured with his head towards the thugs. The question was clear. Can I shoot these ones?
Mage Hunters
As Althalus (his crossbow loaded and in hand) and Mar exited the building, both looking more miserable than when the others had left them, there was a disturbance by the edge of the forest. A man, clearly Yarosmerian, ran out of the forest. He was bloodied and injured, from far more than just running through the woods. As he came closer to the group, it was clear he was wearing a diplomat's uniform from Yarosmere. It was also clear that that uniform was burned and the few places where you could see burnt skin were obviously chewed upon. As he reached the center of the town, ignoring everyone and anyone who tried to stop him in his terror fueled head long rush, he crashed into Grey. Landing on the ground with an audible curse and a thump, leaving blood on Grey's armor, he began to babble. "Oh thank the Sand God we need to get out of here. Mages who wield black, unholy magic that's an affront to the Sand God, would even be an affront to the false gods the rest of Tiien worships!" The man grabbed Grey's armor."We have to leave now. There is not time for questions, I will answer them when we are far, far from this place!" He continued babbling like this for several minutes, gradually growing more and more incoherent until it was just a bunch of terrified gibberish. Two things were abundantly apparent. 1. The mages they were supposed to find and kill were in the forest. 2. The man was going to be of no further use, terrified as he was. However, when Althalus and Mar came into view, he suddenly calmed. A disgust and hate warped his face as he glared at Mar. "What is that thing, that monster doing here?" Althalus leveled his crossbow at the man. Normally easy going, the assassin's patience was as shorter than it ever had been, run low by the previous conversation with Mar. "You have ten seconds to explain why you hate Mar, the Naga you're so pleasantly staring at. Speaking of explanations, where in the name of the Inferno did this guy come from Grey, where's Leith and where's Coco?"
I recall that Ragnarok apparently had a manifested form, so it may be spirits can manifest without needing a summoner - perhaps either Vietmyke or Rton can help us there? And I don't know if the GM is still accepting characters, but I do know that one poster who originally expressed interest and made the acceptance list never showed up. Which means we might have room for one more (can I get confirmation on that? I am referring to Themerlinhawk, whose character was Miss Fairweather.).
Spirit's are essentially like humans and animals. They walk around and do whatever they want and interact with the world on their own. Only difference is, they can be summoned and they can do magic. It's up to Myke to decide if we're getting another character.
Uicle "Tyrael, perhaps we should give her over to Lidda or Sam. I know how you like to rip thing's apart, but students, I'm afraid, are off limits. Please, put away your claws." Uicle said, arriving in time to hear Tyrael and see the carnage that had been once Khan's office. A look at the plants was all he needed to understand what happened. "Khan, I assume the reason you threw me into the nearby wall and fell over is because your watch plants have turned into attack plants and tried to murder the Elf Tyrael is trying to rip apart to save. I do apologize miss, our headmaster usually has more sense than this, but appears to have misplaced and is currently unable to find where he put it. I'm Uicle, the Necromancy teacher at the school and currently one of the few people trying to prevent your evisceration." Whatever the trapped soul, back in his usual armor, was about to say was cut off as a chunk of the ceiling fell and added a new dent to his already horribly dented helmet. "Really? Really. I swear, I actually look forward to variety now. That was your plan all along, wasn't it? To make me hate it more because it happens all the godsdamned time." For a moment he paused, waiting for something else to happen. "Now, Khan if you're done introducing students to your newest security system, and Tyrael if you're done trying to murder them as they walk through the door, I'll take the elf to Sam or Lidda or both to get help, and you two can settle the huggy orc in to the college nicely. Without doing anything nasty to him. Good? Good. Let's go elf, before the parasites burst from your eyes."
