Appearance: Black hair, Green eyes, 5’8” and like most Meta her figure and muscle tone perfect no matter what or how much she eats.

Enhanced Physical Condition

Personality: Trinity is a strange young woman who can be very gentle and understanding one moment then turn cold and hard hearted if it is to get things the way she wants. Generous she helps people never pausing to calculate how she can write it off her taxes but because it appeals to her sense of justice. Determined she is like a Honey Badger once aroused; small but tenacious.
Bio: Born in Yellowknife in The Northwest Territories of Canada Trinity was always a curious child whose parents thought her inquisitive nature marked for the sciences and encouraged her to seek answers to her questions and cultivate a skill at research.

When she was only 11 Trinity happened to pick up a school friend’s coat by accident and was stunned by finding herself reliving an abusive beating her friend had undergone just that morning before school. She screamed for her friend’s father to stop beating her but found out she couldn’t be heard or seen and was just about to try anything she could to stop the man when she was shocked out of her fallback as she’s come to call them when her teacher shouted at her asking her name loudly.

Unable to explain to the school what she saw Trinity was sent to see the Board Psychologist and subjected to all sorts of screening and Diagnosed as a Schizophrenic and told that she was seeing things that weren’t there. Put on meds that made her sluggish Trinity looked to be damaged and had to attend a special school with other children like herself only they weren’t which she discovered after only three months and wished she never had.

It was while attending the special school that Trinity’s power bored through the medicinal haze showing her the life her fellow students lead when not at the school and she was horrified to see the things they suffered at the hands of the people that said they cared for them but was afraid to tell anyone what she was really seeing for fear of becoming institutionalized.

Only twelve years old there was little she could do that wouldn’t affect her in a negative way if she was found out so she put her abilities to use secretly gathering information about the abuse and printing the crimes in detail and sending it in a note to the abusers which actually put a dent into their activities and just to make sure that id did stop she began sending the Children's services copies.

Her school blew up in scandal when the RCMP dug deeper encouraged by the data they held and discovered a pattern of abuse in the staff along with coverups. It was this scandal that caused her parents to move to California and it was there that Trinity tired of how icky the meds made her feel and the classes designed more as daycare than school.

She gave her approach a great deal of thought and came up with a plan that was both entertaining to her parents; she did an object read on their car keys debit and credit cards and gave them an on the spot detailed description of what they had done that day. Naturally they thought it some sort of trick and her a clever girl but they also now had a bit of doubt and tried to prove it wasn’t possible but they quickly came around happy that she wasn’t a Schizo and then they felt guilty when the realized that they had allowed doctors to dope her up.

It seemed as if everything was coming up roses as Trinity discovered she held other talents such as the ability to understand whatever was said around her no matter what the language and grew close once more with her mom and dad.

It was the first time her cruel and capricious talent with probability revealed itself while visiting they were visiting Vegas. Her talent saved her by having her accused of theft and tossed into a holding cell, a holding cell that protected her from a raid by a gang who boldly but foolishly tried to spring their boss only to be felled by the cops when they stormed the jail. Her parents who had been trying to talk to the police were among the 23 dead but not the 65 wounded so she was alone.

Her parents dead and Trinity just 16 and loathing the idea of becoming the latest guest of Child Protection who’d likely find out her status as a Schizo and force her back on the meds which she couldn’t tolerate so she sued to become emancipated and won her case because she had by luck an insurance settlement and passed a screening for her former condition the doctors citing that she’d been wrongly diagnosed and was in their eyes capable of taking care of herself.

So two parents less Trinity now lives in the house her parents bought and manages her resources (1.4 million after paying off the house)

She graduated school early but didn’t go on to college realising she could make money finding things and translating papers for universities while indulging in her cause as a Witness

Full Name: Amelia Skipper Wintergarden

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bi

Role in the Community: Amy and her family breed and care for the horses of the garrison and she as well serves as nurse/field medic (warning she is trained by a veterinarian who has adapted to working on people)

Appearance: Amelia is lightly freckled but otherwise pale skinned which is due to her Family’s Dutch origins. Her hair is strawberry blonde and cut to shoulder length, her eyes blue.
She stands five foot eight inches and weighs about 125-135 and is athletically toned because of her work with horses

Biography: Amelia was born to John Wintergarden DVM DACVS Petra Skipper. Her Dad was a respected Veterinarian in the horse world and her mother the owner of a horse farm so a match made in heaven.

Amy was a happy child growing up her family comfortable and safe.

She attended a private school where she took advantage of it’s attention to the students scholastic skills. She was a dedicated student pushing herself so that she could eventually attend Auburn and be a Vet just like her dad; her life was on track then it happened and shattered her plans.

She was fourteen about to turn fifteen when the outbreak was first reported. Her family had a large and remotely placed ranch so in the beginning they were safe from the shambling horrors and they had enough room to take in survivors that found their way to the ranch. Her father though a Veterinarian was soon pressed into seeing human patients and treating their injuries and best of all was that few of the horrors were seen near the Ranch and the ones that they did see were blocked by the fence. It looked as though they might be safe from the horrors outside when they had something worse fall upon them, Bandits, People or Scum.

The Scum in the beginning looked as if they might be able to commit as many atrocities as they’d like but they too discovered how fickle fate was when the Hunters who’d taken the guns and bows to hunt game with returned and fell on the beasts like a vengeful tidal wave. Some of the people staying on the ranch felt safe again but her mom who’d always been a practical thinker insisted on an armed scouting party which returned with bad news.

The nearby town was already under the control of some self appointed warlord and the party that had attacked them seemed to be attached to them and they were just being missed. The Scum had been difficult to fight and gain victory over and because the number of people at the ranch who could fight was just eleven people with nine children and two grandmothers.

It was decided that they would all escape using the forty-two horses Amy’s family had which wasn’t easy because of the fact all but three had no idea how to ride a horse but Amy and her mom were excellent teachers and soon had all the group old enough to learn trained as passable horseriders.

For three months they traveled and fought seeking safety for their band some of them dying and new members joining till one day they bumped into a band of scouts from a place called Sierra-Armstrong who saw their herd which had grown as other horses that had been released had joined them swelling the number to just over one-hundred and twenty-five so giving the twelve soldiers no trouble at all. The soldiers gave off mixed signals till they discovered her father was a Veterinarian and a skilled surgeon and her mother his assistant..

It was shortly after the disclosure they began telling her family about their wonderful home and the safety it offered and how they could use people like her parents and those that followed them. Her parents already shy after encountering so many violent people were hesitant but the people her parents felt so protective of begged that they go there and at least look it over; that was six years ago and the reason they stayed was because her dad had been declared an asset of value not because they liked the place.

Her Father had immediately sought to protect his daughter from the leering soldiers by taking her as his student and teaching her the Art of Veterinary Science. In this way she became a valuable resource which the military had reasons to protect from their normal methods of society and the fact that she and her mom were the only certified Horse trainers in the entire community made her a real touch me not; to Amy it was horrible and filled her with guilt when she saw girls she knew too crushed to to look people in the eyes after the tender mercies of one of the Jacs visited its self on them.

She was safe from the drunken advances because she never went to the village unescorted by her mother or father or stayed there after dark instead spending all her time at The Nova Ranch

Always having a good seat Amy became a prolific hunter of deer using her skills in the saddle and a handmade longbow finding the archaic weapon more suited to her sense of frugality. Few deer survive once spotted by her and Andy her Hunter horse.

Personality:Amy is an independent girl who tends to take on tasks without asking for help believing she needs to do things on her own or she’ll appear week and vulnerable. An expert with bow from horseback she is rightly proud of her ability to kill game at full gallop with a single shaft.

She appears to people watching from the outside to be reckless as she and Andy fly over the terrain at paces that might have once been good enough to get her a seat in international competition but she is actually preparing for the day she might need all her skills to escape some unwanted fate.

A soft hearted girl Amy is still able to cool her emotions when she needs to and do what is necessary to come to the best possible solution (She is thought of as cold blooded because of how she cuts the throat of an injured horse without a tear)

Chief Comber

….How it all began few know and the rumors many but in the end that no longer mattered it was the end of the world that once was and the beginning of a New world, a world of struggle. No place was left untouched as far as anyone knew and society had fallen apart. Many chose to act like beasts blaming it all on the disaster in the end they were always animals.

But some men kept their humanity, tried to hang on to what was left knowing that the future was decided now and one such man was David Comber who was once a parachute instructor with the Screaming Eagles or should I say the Commander of their jump school Colonel D.Comber who retired after only twenty years to take care of his granddaughters who had lost their parents in a plane crash 2 years before the disaster. He was at the time working as the Chief Forest Ranger of Mount Hood when it went to hell and like some he was off balance but quickly recovered when he found his family in danger.

He and men who had served in various services and who knew each other from the local VFW who had come to respect Chief Comber and looked to him for answers. He was immediately pressed into service as the local emergency commander because the Sheriff had fallen to the dead. Organizing sweeper teams Comber took advantage of the ground he was forced to fight on and observed his enemy and soon knew their weakness and exploited them channeling them into killing pens where he urged them on as many found it difficult to crush the skulls of former loved ones, friends, and neighbors. It was because of his uncompromising leadership before and after those long gone days that Comber became the elected Chief of the Band of Screaming Eagles the latter name not his first choice but of those who admired him enough to get on his nerves. Year after Year he was elected in the circle of the Band given power to promote and demote scouts and cavalry officers, to propose votes outside of the 28 day lunar schedule and break ties in any vote or trial which, he is a chief not a ruler

Comber is why machines and their use a very controlled item because he knew the day when you could order repair parts or fuel were gone. Some had said they could make biodiesel from vegetable oil forgetting that even that would soon be in short supply and because of it Comber held the use of fuel as a vote of the band.

The Screaming Eagles Band is made up of over 2675 people and of those number they could field an effective cavalry force of 550 and have over 2,600 head of horse along with 8,000 cattle and most importantly a hydroelectric power station that is still functioning.

Lasthope is Built along the Shore of Bullrun Lake using Shipping containers, Cider-block, Concrete, and Brick using Mill Creek and Taylor Creek as barriers to the Dead and the Living complete with earthen revetments and only one gate

The Gate is constructed of 16 40 foot steel containers and 10 20 foot containers serving as Towers.
