According to my profile's posting frequency calculator, mine is 1.85 posts per day. I too have a lot of free time on my hands. The only real obstacle I have is how easily I can get the wheels in my head to start turning whenever I try to make a post.

...Yeah, that had just occurred to me as well. That might have worked had this been a solo game, but now I'm not so sure. I may need to do a little rethinking.

I'm fine with giving this a go still. Even if you've never done play-by-post before, IRL experience will map onto it well enough. And if it does fizzle out before the end, that's actually a pretty common occurrence here.

In terms of backstory, my guy is obviously gonna be some kind of assassin. Though whether he'll be a secular contract killer or a death bringer of the old gods is something I haven't decided just yet.

As for connections, meeting each other as caravan guards has my vote.

My guy will still be going for the Pentakill and I don't mind being open about it in the OOC chatter. If you'd rather we be secretive about it though, I'm up for that as well.

I'm happy to drop the sidekick if you think it needs to be done. But I would like to point out that we have three players and you said this game is designed with at least four in mind. If we don't manage to get that fourth player, might I be able to convince you to reinstate the sidekick?

Brutrumukk shot an annoyed glare a Aurora when she tried to compete with him for who got to be the owlbear's new master. That glare quickly turned into a victorious smirk though, as the owlbear completely ignored Aurora's offering in favor of Brutrumukk's. "Thought you could snag the owlbear out from under me, eh?" Brutrumukk taunted the elf as he fed the rest of his jerky to the expectant owlbear. "Not a chance, knife ears. Not a chance."

Ok then. I'll make a 3rd level character and accompanying sidekick.

I would prefer to do traditional dice rolls and such.

As for my preferred platform, what would you say to the prospect of doing things here on the Guild?

After careful consideration, I believe I shall be taking The List as the personal quest for my character.

Character creation is underway, but I have two questions...

First off: What is the starting level?

And second: Since this is (potentially) a solo game, would you permit me to start with a sidekick (as laid out in the extra rules provided by Tasha's Cauldron of Everything) to help compensate for the fact that my character will be on his own rather than in a party?
