@LostDestiny first mate and quartermaster have about the same level of authority, so how about I be the one that deals with the ship, and you deal with the crew?
Name: Xythaen

Age: Old

Sex: Male

Appearance:
As the picture is in black and white, I will use the mandatory text to describe his colouration. His skin is the colour of ash, and his hair as white as bone. His eyes are a solid green, like a pair of emeralds, and glow with an eldritch power. The clothes he wears are of a rich green hue, with golden ornamentation.

Personality: Called the God of Fate by his followers, Xythaen is a being who bends the world to suit his needs rather than the other way around. Morality is pointless to him, as casting your side to either good or evil limits the amount of influence you can wield upon the world. He sees open conflict as a last resort, usually preferring the political or mercantile approach to gaining strength. As a man, he tends to enjoy the finer things in life, and over time he has come to miss the luxuries that the modern world has to offer. He is usually calm and collected, almost terrifyingly so, rarely acting without thinking five steps ahead of the opponent. His calm demeanour is broken when unexpected occurences break his carefully established plans, forcing him to explode in a dark rage. Although he respects many of his more useful pawns, he trusts no one, knowing that today's ally could be tomorrow's enemy.

Stats:

Strength: 1

Endurance: 1

Will: 3

Intelligence: 4

Dexterity: 2

Powers: Necromancy

Minion: 2 Hired Labour, Occultists

Doom Lord Deity: Independent

Bonus Condition: Modernise Myths

Hoard: Book of Betrayal

Capital city/dwelling: Xythae (Factory Village, Capital), Sen-Aurum (Factory Village),

Dwelling Add Ons Extensive Library

Relationships: Acts as a weapons merchant to anyone with the gold to purchase them.
Thank you, our lord of eternal damnation.
@Ryteb PymeroceI'm going to tell you right now rather than tell you to go back and make the corrections you missed that I'm more than likely not going to accept this character because his backstory is just too unbelievable. It's so unbelievable that you even write "luck" but then you don't make "luck" a passive ability. You even have him survive off corpses at a young age without taking into consideration any diseases or plagues. It's just too unbelievable even though this is a fictional game, it just fits that one thing I said not to do. The back story is even exasperating to read.

I guess I'll have to go back to square one, and redo the character completely. Sorry about the backstory, it's always been the part of the cs I struggle with most.
Might be biased, but I think Hunter would probably be the best first mate. Considering he's the navigator, he could take charge of the ship while Abigail is off with theach away crew.

Also we don't have a specialised swordsman, so there's that.
Updated my CS following your suggestions. I hope my backstory doesn't seem too angsty, I noticed the point in the rules about orphans.@Holy Soldier

Replaced Living Ones with Occultists. I figured it fit in more with his persona, plus I can make minions with Necromancy, so what I need are intelligent pawns rather than strong ones.

Hunter's face was pale, hands still glued to the wheel. The wood was actually cracked from the strength of his grip. Although he had done his best, the overwhelming bad luck they received had turned what used to be a top of the line marine ship into a hunk of junk he wouldn't dare set foot on lest it crumble afore his weight.

Upon hearing his captain's jape, he released his handsword from the wheel. Blood dripped from his hands as he walked down the stairs. Although the ship was trashed, the island held the answers to . As long as he could remember, he could read the flow of the world. It was what made him an excellent navigator. And that flow was telling him that all they needed was on Shipwreck Isle.

"Well, things could be worse cap'n." Hunter said, tearing off a part of a ruined sail and using it to wrap his wounds, "Considering we ain't sinking, and the ship ain't falling ta bits. I suggest we start looking for some wood to repair the ship. A fair wind is finally blowing, and we should not let it turn sour upon us."
Take 2. It took a while due to other stuff.

I'll make some changes to him then.

Would it be fair to say he got attacked off the coast of Mahoushima, and he's looking for the ship that killed 95% of his men?
