@Azaria Blue Pft. The urban one was full on bias xD But that's what the actual thing on the internet is nowadays, sadly. The second one was the actual definition that no one really uses anymore and spouts out random crap about how they're being triggered. But non non, we were pretty much just posting hilarious memes about them and I guess since people use trigger warnings on articles, joking about how they should be used? But anyways. Just forget all that and pay attention to this:

Here, this is the internet definition nowadays:
- Urban) A phrase posted at the beginning of various posts, articles, or blogs. Its purpose is to warn weak minded people who are easily offended that they might find what is being posted offensive in some way due to its content, causing them to overreact or otherwise start acting like a dipshit. Popular on reddit SRS or other places that social justice warriors (SJW) like to hang out.
Triggers are of course, as you say, serious. However, nowadays people are taking it to the extremes and saying "Ah! THat'S MY TRIGGER!" for a lot of things without thinking about the actual meaning. And it's happening a lot. Poking fun at that, not the actual trigger meaning which is:
anything, as an act or event, that serves as a stimulus and initiates or precipitates a reaction or series of reactions.
Urban dictionary:
A word used often by idiots on Tumblr to justify their bitchy attitudes, most of whom don't know what a real traumatic experience is.
So yes, triggers are things that pretty much bring back someone's traumatic experiences but you don't see much people on the internet actually saying trigger about that. So yeah. Anyways, i'm not trying to make you mad Blue! ^^
