Okay, my CS is back on track. Probably going to gt a handle on where the story currently sits, then round out his backstory to fit smoothly into it. That said, if anybody has a suggestion for organizations that could use personnel or a general archetype (student, semi-faculty, normal citizen, etc) that the RP could use, feel free to tag me and let me know. The character is largely flexible, so anything's good.

Written Appearance: Typically sports long sleeved shirts and jeans or cargo pants. Is never far from his favorite jacket, which is black with orange decorations. Wears one necklace that consists of a simple chain connected to a (now defunct) Rain Badge, a gift from his father.

Personality: Seth is a smiling, happy go lucky lad with an impeccable ability to see the bright side in everything. Don't let the smiles fool you into thinking he's naive or foolish though; along with the optimism is a sharp mind and a competitive streak a mile wide. Get him involved in any kind of contest- particularly a battle- and he pulls out all he's got for it.

Motivation(s): Seth's motivation is that he's turned 16, which means it's time for him to set out into the world and find his place in it, just like dear old dad did. It's a journey he's been looking forward to for years, and with encouragement and support from his father, he's finally set off!

Written Appearance: Wears an assortment of warm clothes (similar to what is seen in the pic), but she refuses to part with her favorite winter grey scarf (also seen in the picture). When she shifts to her pokemon form, the scarf becomes a collar of sorts.

Personality: Despite her Ice typing, many people are surprised to find that she's very warm-hearted. She comes from Alola, where she grew used to everyone treating Pokemon with respect and companionship, and was greeted in Kanto by a nasty trainer who only saw them as tools for battling (see Other Info). As a result, she's drawn herself inward and finds it very difficult to trust people. But, if a human or Pokemon can prove that they can be trusted, she'll fight with and for them with everything she's got.

Other: She was originally raised in Alola by a breeder and was captured by a man visiting from Kanto, who gave her to his son as a birthday present. Initially the son was ecstatic and excited by her exoticness and difference from the Vulpixes he knew... but when he found out she was an Ice Type, he (rather ironically) grew colder and colder to her. "You have an inferior typing!" he would yell at her, "You only resist ice and you're weak to fire, fighting, AND rock! Those are the three most common attack types! And even if I evolve you, you'll have a double weakness to Bullet Punch! What a worthless Pokemon! If you weren't a gift from father, I'd never use you!"

Her first post will be getting away from him in some form or capacity.

Right, I figured that was the case, otherwise there's too many abilities that are "Snap fingers, win fight." So it's like old school Final Fantasy's Shell where it reduces magic damage taken but also reduces white magic effectiveness.

How exactly would one go about whittling down a shield? Just throw prana at it until it drops enough?

@Grey (or whoever else may know the answer), about this Prana Shield, the thing that stops abilities from affecting the bodies of others... what are the crunch details on that? I'm assuming it stops things like mind control and hemomancers just stopping somebody's blood do they pass out or die, but does it also prevent helpful abilities (like healing)? And if I did run a character that affects the regeneration of cells, for instance, would inducing DEgeneration also be stopped by it?

BTW Fei, Salt. What can a level 8 cryokinetic can do? I need to make it consistent, can Ria freeze oxygen or anything below that?

@Saltwater Thief If you were going with the Hana route, btw how much will she know about Ria? Cuz Koto and Ria are nakama as well rolling in Friensei(Teacher+Friend). Also this version of Ria is light hearted compare to the original ACCA.

Well, Cryokinesis is a difficult thing to pin down. Mostly because "Cold" isn't really an element that exists, it's just an absence of heat. What that means is that Cryokinesis doesn't manipulate cold or ice at all, it draws heat away from a target to lower it's temperature. The freezing comes from drawing the heat away from liquids and moisture in and around a target though- part of your ability would probably have to be psychokintically gathering moisture in the air around your target to freeze them faster/more solidly, since you're essentially bringing the ice block into being around them and locking them inside. To answer your questions in relation to that, 1- you couldn't really freeze oxygen in the sense of specifically targeting it, because "freezing" is just turning a liquid into a solid and oxygen isnt a liquid unless it combines with another element (like Hydrogen), and 2- your level would probably correlate to how quickly you can freeze how much how solidly, since you're essentially flash-freezing things (normally liquids takes an hour plus to turn to ice), and to make something like a solid ice wall to block for you you'd be freezing many many MANY smaller ice walls over each other to make it sturdy enough to not shatter like glass on impact.

Also, I'm not sure. A Hana here with this Kotori would likely have an ENTIRELY different relationship with her, so I really don't know if she'd know about Ria or not. Hardly matters though, since I'm not making her.

Typing up my CS now, pretty much know what I'm going to do. Just need to check something with Fei on backstory real quick.

@Vocab Well, quarks are sub atomic, they're theorized to be like atoms TO atoms. Since Kotori's notability as a Lv 10 is being able to work with atoms (so it seems), I would think quarks are pretty far beyond us mortals...
