Press was a normal kid until around the age of 8, when the first sign of his abilies showed, after a small tantrum when he got his cupcake stolen by the head bully. Needless to say, the bully never bothered him again, and carries a scar on his arm to prove it. Everyone soon avoided him after the incident, except for a few friends who had known him since 1st grade. Press just tried to keep his powers inactive, vowing never to use them again, unless it was absolutely necessary. He grew up in this fashion for many years, always staying calm even in the worst arguments, and the incident soon faded from people's memories.
Then the "incident' began, where the entire nation panicked over multiple incidents involving the dead eating the living, stuff that could have been taken care of completely had people kept a level head, at least in Press' opinion. Trapped in a classroom with the doors gradually being broken down, Press felt that it was finally time to use his ability, forming spikes out of the metal on the desks and shooting them through each zombie's head. He saved many students in this fashion, and was regarded as a hero by them. They wanted Press to lead the group, but Press knew that his talents did not include leadership skills and gave that position to someone he thought was a leader. Fortunately, that chosen leader was remarkably capable, and led them to safety many times when others would have panicked and died.
It couldn't last forever, though, and the group eventually fell apart one by one until Press was the only one left. He lasted for a few days, fending off individual zombies and finding small stores of food and water wherever he could. He was almost at Death's door when a group of 3 people found him and gave him food and water. 2 of them had seen him perform his ability and thought he was the savior in their so-called "prophecy", while the last was still somewhat sane and gave Press supplies, then sent him on his way when the 2 crazed "prophets" were distracted. From there Press went on his own way, eventually put in the place where he is now, in Barclay, making new ammo and weapon parts out of scrap metal that people find and bring to him.

Metallokinesis (aka mapulating metal). Ranges from standard "moving it around as if using telekinesis on it" to changing durability and density of metal. Capable of removing rust too.
