Who came up with the idea to make our statuses quotes from philosophers, anyway?

We could be doing something productive with our lives... instead, we're here.

A random quote from some philosopher that we'll forget in a few moments.

Daniel - Free Runner

Daniel was back in his dorm, lying in bed, and he was bored. Having to wait one day was incredibly boring. He tried other things to fend off the boredom, but nothing worked. It was hard to focus when all you could think about was jumping through the air on D.G.O. On an impulse, he tried to log in, and was surprised to find that it worked.

Welcome, Free Runner

In seconds he found himself back in the Black Guild Hall. It was rather bare now that the Kings were gone, but there was nothing he could do about that. Instead he turned around to leave, and was greeted with the startling sight of about a million Dissolutions outside. "Well things just got more interesting," Daniel said to himself as he pulled his shotgun out from the holster on his back. He charged at one and jumped toward the Dissolution. It attempted to intercept him mid-leap, but Daniel merely double-jumped backwards and discharged both shells within his shotgun at the Dissolution. It did heavy damage, but didn't kill it. Daniel quickly reloaded as the Dissolution slowly moved toward him, then fired again, firing only one shell this time, but killing the Dissolution.

Daniel gathered the xp crystals, then leaped over hordes of Dissolutions. He even stepped on a few of their heads as he jumped, quickly reaching an alleyway and wall jumping between the two buildings, quickly teaching the rooftops. Daniel sighed in relief, glad to be back in his element, and looked down. He could see Dissolutions everywhere, which was unsurprising, but he also noticed the truck he passed by earlier. He looked at the truck more carefully, and... was that Corpse Collector? This had Daniel raise an eyebrow and wonder what she was doing here.
So, uh.... Captain Jenno, you feeling alright?
Yeah, but oh well.
Press was geared up and ready for combat. His wrench and buckler were in his hands, and his goggles were on and operational. He had heard a few stories from the upperclassmen, and had created a few plans to deal with the challenges. Of course, the Headmaster had to say, "Whatever ideas you have about the test, forget them. You twelve will be set out to achieve a different objective," which sent those plans straight into his mental trash can. Press decided then that he had to improvise. Upon seeing white circle of runes, he was startled, wondering what was about to happen. After being teleported away, he quickly found himself disoriented and lost. That was to be expected, though, and after getting his bearings, he instantly set off in a random direction, hoping that he would complete the quest given to him.

Only minutes of pointless wandering later did he come across a pair of Beowolfs. They howled and lunged at him, claws outstretched to strike him. Press reacted by dodging to the side, then striking at the one closest to him on the head with his wrench. The one struck was disoriented, but the other leaped over its comrade and tried to swipe at Press. Press merely jumped back and held up his buckler, tilting it slightly to deflect the claws. This allowed Press to counterattack by striking its stomach. The blow knocked the Beowolf away a few feet, the creature clutching its stomach in pain. The one Press had hit earlier shook its head, then lunged to bite Press, who thrust his wrench into its mouth, keeping its jaws open.

As it backed off trying to get the wrench out of its mouth, the other Beowolf had moved to the side, being more cautious with him now, and proceeded to charge at him, eyes raging with fury. Press merely smiled as his right arm proceeded to transform into a long blade, twice the length of his forearm. He moved to the right, spinning as he did to build centrifugal force and slice off the top half of the Beowolf's head. The slain Beowolf collapsed onto the ground, while its comrade was still occupied with the wrench stuck in its mouth. It was shaking its head around and trying to open its mouth wider, all the while being completely unsuccessful in the process. Press tossed his buckler aside and had his left arm transform into a gun. Having his goggles lock onto the target, he fired a grenade right into the Beowolf's open mouth. The Beowolf began to choke, and then its head exploded, leaving a sizable hole where its head and torso was. As it collapsed onto the ground, Press found his wrench and was pleased to see that it was still in working condition, although just barely. He decided that in order to preserve it, he should save it until he could repair it.

With a sigh, he transformed his arms back into their normal form, then grabbed his wrench and buckler off the floor. Putting his wrench back onto his belt, a Boarbatusk charged from his left, taking Press by surprise. Reacting quickly, Press lowered his buckler to intercept the Boarbatusk's path. As they made contact, Press placed his other hand on the buckler's handle to keep his grip on his shield. The Boarbatusk squealed, then charged its spin attack. Press' eyes widened in surprise and he jumped out of the way as the Boarbatusk zoomed past him, straight into a wall, where it was stuck upside down, and more importantly, with its stomach exposed. Press took this opportunity to charge at it, his arm transforming back into its blade form, and stab the Boarbatusk, effectively killing it. "Phew," Press breathed out as he removed his blade from the Boarbatusk and transformed it back into his arm. Glad to see that his equipment was in such fantastic shape and that he was able to handle himself well, he continued onward, looking for anyone human or Faunus.
Should we get something to move the plot a bit? Activity on this rp has dropped dramatically.
Sorry, 'tis closed to newcomers.

Also, I too am against randomized teams.

EDIT: ok now I'm not sure about the open - closed status anymore
I think we need an antagonist to show up. What's a bit of Borderlands without a villian?
Oh, this is still alive?
You should have put this in the interest check thread instead of here.
You think Loki is the type to care?
