Ahhh, just watched the latest episode of Arc V, and it is awesome!

Michelle flickered back into consciousness, and she had no idea what was happening. Then the pain kicked in, which was definitely not a pleasant experience, especially if you felt like you could barely move. Fortunately, the pain slowly faded, and Michelle's eyes fluttered open when she something gently shake her shoulder. She heard some sounds that she couldn't discern at first, but she was soon able to concentrate long enough to get a vague understanding of what was happening. She turned her head slightly to see Oliver in her peripheral vision, who had a look of concern on his face. Before Michelle could say something to him, he placed her in a sitting-up position and left to rejoin the fight.

Michelle took a deep breath, then winced as the pain in her ribs flared. She tried to push herself back up onto her feet, which the pain in her ribs flared again in complaint, and she managed to do it while leaning heavily heavily on the wall. Then she realized that her sniper rifle was not with her, and she turned her head left and right in an attempt to find it. She spotted quite a way away, and she immediately started heading towards it, pushing herself off the wall. She stumbled, but managed to regain her footing before she could collapse on the ground. She slowly walked toward her sniper rifle, her right arm clutching her chest, then reached her rifle and picked it up with her left. Michelle looked at her hands trembling, and realized that she'd never be able to pull off a successful shot if she tried. Instead, she used her rifle as a walking stick, heading towards the sound of Oliver screaming, something about letting them go.

Walking some more, Michelle was just in time to see the letters spelling out "LOGGING OUT". As the tentacles retreated and Oliver dropped to the ground, Michelle slowly made her way toward Oliver, hoping to figure out what was going on. She stopped walking after reaching Oliver's side, then asked, "What happened? W-why did those words appear?" Then she saw the tears coming down from his face, and she then knew that his answer would not be a good one.

@Jenno Yay a post! Glad to see you beat that stress and sickness! And yeah, the white page posting thing has happened before. I remember trying to get a post up five times, then having those five posts show up minutes later.

Well, perhaps it was a bit unfair to say that I hate it worse than Shaddolls. I fought a Noble Knight deck using a Perfect Plasma lockdown deck (D Hero Plasma, Horus LV 8, and Royal Decree) and I lost ridiculously badly. I think it was partially due to my lack of experience with the Noble Knights that I lost, and maybe a bad hand, but I lost all the same, and it sucked.

Well, I edited my deck a bit to try to make it a bit smoother (emphasis on try). Also, I edited Heaven's Gateway and Heaven's Reinforcements slightly. If there are any problems, then I can change that to make it more acceptable.

The Encounter

Press thought he heard more Grimm running about, and he came to a conclusion: he needed to find his partner. He was certainly capable of handling himself, but he was in enemy territory right now, and fighting alone was not the best option. He walked along the street cautiously, keeping his eyes and ears open for potential threats.

After some time, he thought he heard the sounds of combat. He was about to investigate the source of it, but there was a crash, and a girl broke through the wall of a building ahead of him. Without hesitation, Press rushed up to her and, upon inspection, identified her as Eurwen, the girl he had met on his first day here. She was breathing, that was for certain, and it seemed like she was conscious too. He kneeled down to her and placed his right hand behind her head. "Hey, you alright?" Press asked her.

Disoriented from the blow, and from crashing through the wall, Eurwen didn't even realize she had landed next to someone until her head was lifted from the ground. Groaning softly her eyebrows knitted together in pain as she slowly sat up, "Y-yeah, I'm alright." Opening her eyes and finally taking a look at the source of the voice, a weak smile stretched across her face, "Press! It's good to see you."

Holding the side of her ribs where she had taken the blow, the Faunus gave a hiss as she leaned forward, "It's really not as bad as it looks." With a grunt and a throb of protest from her ribs, Eurwen slowly pushed herself up, brushing off the dirt and pieces of wood stuck to her clothes. Glancing down at Press once more, her eyes slowly narrowed as she realized it was just them in the empty street, "Press... do you have a part-"

A chorus of howls interrupted her words and forced the Rabbit to arm herself with Euythmia, "Dammit," Looking down at Press she waved her arm, motioning for him to follow as she started down the street, "Come on! We have to get out of this area!"

Press watched as she pushed herself off the ground and stood up. It seemed like she was still in good condition, so Press probably didn't need to worry too much about her. She was about to ask something, but then a chorus of howls sounded, which was never a good thing. "Aw crap," Press muttered as he stood back up and turned toward the location of the sound. Adjusting the goggles on his eyes, he turned back toward Eurwen and said, "We'd better hurry. Lead the way." He then smiled and added, "Partner."

Throwing a toothy grin back at him, Eurwen gave a brisk nod, "Partner." Repeating it to herself as she turned her focus back to the street ahead, a comforting warmth filled her chest. While it wasn't Ashart, or Fir, she was definitely glad to be paired with someone she was somewhat familiar with. Their meeting yesterday had been pleasant, and Press seemed like a pretty easy guy to get along with, so Eurwen had no reason to protest. However she was curious to see the other in action, and with the way things were looking, a confrontation with the Beowolves from earlier seemed inevitable.

"This way!" Turning down an alleyway, their running quickly came to a halt as large brick wall stood before them. "A dead end." Clicking her tongue in frustration, she raised right her hand and placed a slender palm along the brick. Turning around a serious look came to Eurwens eyes as she held out her left hand to Press, "Do you trust me?"

As Press followed Eurwen into an alleyway, his first thought was, Well, we're probably screwed. After all, he read stories of people going into alleyways and them just finding dead ends. Naturally this was no different. Press turned around to look at the alleyway opening. There were no Grimm to be seen yet, but he could definitely hear the thumping of their paws on the ground as they sprinted. It was only a matter of time before they were found.

Then Eurwen asked if he trusted her, and he turned to look at Eurwen, a serious look on her face and her hand outstretched towards him. He looked at her hand for a second, then back at her face, and made a split-second decision. He grasped her hand with his, and said, "Without a doubt." After all, what else was he supposed to say? A pack of Beowolves behind them, and nowhere else to go, that didn't really leave him with a lot of options.

Despite the danger, Eurwen couldn't help but smile as Press took her hand and reassured her. "Alright, now take a deep breath," She instructed just as the pack came barrelling around the corner, "And hold it for as long as you can!" Taking a deep breath of her own Eurwens semblance activated, wrapping them in a warm black aura as she tugged Press through the wall. Hand gripping his tightly, their bodies phased right through the wall and the abandoned objects scattered around the room. Like before the Grimm busted down the wall, snapping at their heels as she pulled them through another wall and out to the street.

Now in an open area, Eurwen dropped Press' hand and drew Arcadius from its gun holster, "These guys just don't give up." She said, finally releasing her breath. Blowing through the wall and sending bricks and wood flying, the pack of Beowolves lunged out at the two, teeth, and claws bared and ready to tear them limb from limb.

Press raised an eyebrow when given the odd instructions, but when Eurwen pulled him toward the wall, he quickly pulled in a breath before being phased through the wall. The experience was extremely unsettling, to say the least, having to go through a solid mass. After exiting into the street once more, Press exhaled, then took another deep breath in an attempt to slow down his beating heart.

He would have taken some time to recover from the ordeal, but that was not to be, especially since the Beowolves broke through the wall. He wasted no time tossing aside his buckler and transformed his arms into their gun and blade forms. He raised his left arm and quickly locked on to a small number of the Beowolves' heads. Despite the system's speed, he only succeeded in shooting down two Beowolves before the rest were upon them. He ducked a swipe from a Beowolf's claws and counterattacked by stabbing upward, skewering its torso.

With the fight on, and adrenaline pumping through her veins, Eurwen began to grin. Leveling out Arcadius with the pack as they were hit by a barrage of bullets, the rabbit took careful steps back as they continued to charge forward. Among the hounds a single Beowolf set its sights on her, jumping from its spot in an attempt to pounce, Eurwen began to fire.

Striking its chest with the first shot, the second punctured straight into its skull, killing the beast instantly. Before its limp form could land on her, Eurwen rolled onto her back, pulled in her legs, and with her aura activated, tossed the Beowolf off of her and into another. Not wasting a second, she rolled back onto her feet and charged forward.

Twirling Arcadius in her hand so her pinkies sat along its trigger, Eurwen slashed forward, gutting through the Beowolves stomach as stumbled back. Following up the attack with another, her left leg twisted around, digging the heel of her boot into the Grimms side and sending it flying to the left. Hopping back a few paces from another set of Beowolves, Eurwen twisted her gaze towards Press as she caught sight of another lunging at him from behind, "Press! Six o'clock!"

Press swung his blade to the right to dislodge the Beowolf, then parried another Beowolf's claws with the bayonet on his gun arm, followed by firing a shot into said Beowolf's throat. When Eurwen gave her warning, Press turned around to see the Beowolf almost upon him, claws outstretched and jaws open to deliver a powerful bite. Press moved quickly, moving to the side while continuing to spin, gathering more centrifugal force to swing his blade into its jaw, slicing off the top half of its head just like the one he had fought earlier. The body crashed onto the ground and rolled a few feet before colliding with a comrade.

Press took a second to examine the current situation. They had now thinned the ranks a bit, and there weren't too many left. His thoughts were interrupted when he needed to block a swipe from a Beowolf, knocking him back a few feet and causing him to lose his footing for a second. He took a few steps back as the Beowolf growled at him, advancing slowly. Press glanced behind him to see two more Beowolves, leaving him surrounded. Press considered his options, then picked what he thought was the best out of all of them.

Press raised his blade straight up into the sky, then as the Beowolves crouched down to pounce, he used his Semblance, charging his blade with electricity, then discharging said electricity at the three Beowolves, electrifying and stunning them. He then cleaved one Beowolf's head open and escaped through the opening, attempting to regroup with Eurwen. The two he had not slain were currently shaking off their stun and were now growling, moving to the side in an attempt to flank them.

As Press countered the attack and lopped off the top of the Beowolves head, Eurwen turned her attention to the two Grimm before her only to find them rushing at her partner, "Ah- Hey!" Firing off two shots at the beast, and only to have them further ignored as they surrounded Press, the Faunus scoffed in offense. Before she could even draw Euthymia from its sheath, Press stunned the group and successfully killed another, earning an encouraging 'woot' from the rabbit.

With her sword out, Eurwen held up a thumbs up to Press once he made it to her side, "Nice! You take the one on the left, and I'll take the one on the right?" She said, sliding her left foot back, and twisting Euthymia into a reverse grip.

Press smirked and replied, "Sounds like a plan." He raised his gun arm and locked on to the Beowolf's head, then fired. The Beowolf's head snapped back, and it collapsed onto the ground. A growl sounded from behind him, and Press turned to see a Beowolf swiping at him. Press instinctively blocked it with his gun arm, and a "crack" sounded from his arm. Press quickly retaliated by thrusting his blade toward the Beowolf, only for it to jump back and dodge it. As the Beowolf crouched to pounce, Press fired another bolt of lightning from his blade, causing the Beowolf to flinch. Press used that opportunity to thrust again at the Beowolf, this time successfully piercing its head and killing it.

Press wanted to check his left arm for damages, but quickly reasoned that it could wait and that he needed to examine the situation first. He glanced at all directions and could find no Beowolves apart from the one Eurwen was fighting.

Once Press started to fire, Eurwen rushed forward at her target. Eyes locked with the beasts glowing red orbs, the Beowolf lunged at her with a roar. Dripping with her heavy black aura, the blade met between the hounds jaws, and with a cry of her own, Eurwen sliced clean through the Grimms muscular form. Raising her sword, and swiping it to the right as she slid to a halt, blood splattered along the cement and off her blade, "That's for ignoring me."

Glancing around the area to check for any other signs of a possible threat, she sighed in relief as she came to realize it was just her and Press alone in the street once again. Sheathing Euthymia, the Faunus skipped over to the dead Beowolf, a wide smile now sitting on her features as she looked over the bloody carcass. Chopped horizontally into two pieces, she kicked its head, sending it rolling off along with the hide of its back, "Makes a nice throw rug, don't you think?"

Press did not answer, as he was preoccupied with inspecting his arm for damages. He had transformed his right arm back into a normal-looking arm, but his left refused to change back. In addition, it also refused to fire any rounds. However, it could still move around as normal, so it wasn't all bad. "Well crap, I'll have to fix this," Press muttered as he reached into a pouch on his belt and pulled out a small screwdriver. He was about to begin unscrewing some screws, but came to the realization that attempting to make repairs in the middle of the open was probably not the best thing to do. "Well, we should get going," Press said to Eurwen as he placed his screwdriver back into his pouch. "Don't wanna fight another pack of Beowolves just yet."

Inching closer to Press out of concern, and curiosity as he began to fiddle with the screws along his arm, Eurwen stopped in her tracks once he commented on leaving, "Right." She said hesitantly, eyes still along his arm, "Are you going to be alright, though?"

Press turned toward her when she asked if he was alright. "Oh, you mean this?" Press asked as he lifted his left arm, still in its gun form. "It'll be fine. I don't feel any pain or anything from my arms, and I just need a few repairs to get it back in working order." He lowered his arm back down and said, "So, let's go." Together they walked on, their next destination waiting for them to arrive.
