Conna'Cel tried to dodge the attack, and was hit with a glancing blow. Still, it left enough force for him to spiral out of control and force him to land roughly on the ground to stabilize himself. He skidded on his feet for a few feet before stopping to a halt.
He took a moment to recalculate the creature's movements, but by then the beast was already killed. He then took the time to scan it now that it was visible, noting everything he could gain from it and storing the info for later reference. Ignoring the arguments in the background, he watched as the mysterious girl Marianne take the corpse and leave, then put away his metal wings. The time for flight was over, and the time for escape continued.
As he was about to exit through the doorway he had found earlier, he noticed another opening that definitely was not there before. The painting above it was negligible, though, and he ignored it. Moving past the porcelain girl, he went up to the staircase, looked up, and started scanning the path for potential dangers.

Yeah that happened, but he doesn't exactly have a human personality. He's not going to just lie on the ground unconscious. Point is, he's more resilient than that.
Yo Windel, Conna'Cel is already up and about. He's now flying in the air and attempting to slice the invisible creature's neck.
While others around Michelle were ecstatic about the upcoming tournament, she wasn't. At least, she wasn't as excited as the others were. Sure, rare cards were always something to get excited over, but the Dual Enrollment part was a bit of a downer for her. Her deck relied more on her ace monster Splendid Venus, and there just wasn't much Extra Deck support she could really use that supported it. Still, she supposed she could still have some fun in the tournament.
Press thought about which class he should Dual Enroll in if he placed in the top 3. Most likely he would go with Fusion. The Ancient Gears did have a very powerful Fusion Monster, after all. Still, it was only one monster, and the Ancient Gears weren't exactly known for Special Summoning. He decided he would give it more thought later. For now, he would focus on class, unlike some of his classmates who were excited about the upcoming tournament.
