He sees all forms of life as things to be experimented on. Very sadistic and cruel. He is known to despise the concept of perfection. Abilities/Weapons: - Zanpakuto: a blade that contains a spirit called Ashisogi Jizō. The blade has three forms: its standard form, its Shikai, and its Bankai. 1. [Shikai](http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100925140744/bleach/en/images/thumb/2/29/Ashisogijizo.png/480px-Ashisogijizo.png): it transforms into this form when Kurosutchi calls out, "Claw out," in addition to its name, although he has enough training to skip that. When a victim is stabbed with it, it severs the brain signals controlling the neural impulses for movement in the limbs of the victim, regardless of where they were struck. But, unlike regular paralysis, the pain receptors and nerve endings are unaffected by the weapon, so the victim can still feel pain, even in a paralyzed limb. Healing the stab wound does not immediately remove the inflicted paralysis. 2. [Bankai](http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20081210133812/bleach/en/images/thumb/1/10/Konjiki_Ashisogi_Jizo.jpg/480px-Konjiki_Ashisogi_Jizo.jpg): This form is the ultimate form, going so far as to even have a separate name, Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō, and it appears when Kurosutchi calls out, "Bankai!" The creature breathes out a poisonous gas created from Mayuri's blood, which is lethal to anyone who breathes it, aside from Mayuri and Nemu, his daughter. The poison spreads through a very wide area, and it is almost impossible to avoid. Side effects of the poison include purple spots appearing on the victim's skin, the victim coughing up an unknown purple liquid, and, after a long period of time and the poison is not treated, death. The poison has an antidote, which Mayuri keeps on his person. Mayuri can change the composition of the poison every time he summons his Bankai, ensuring that no foolproof antidote can ever be manufactured to cure it, and no immunity is developed against it, at least in Soul Society. The poison can enter through the skin, so even if the opponent does not breathe, the poison will still enter their body. So far, the only way to remain unaffected by the poison is to repel it, or prevent skin contact with it. Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō can produce numerous blades which extend from its chest, allowing it to run through and skewer opponents. This, when used simultaneously with its poison, makes Konjiki Ashisogi Jizō particularly lethal to anyone that cannot keep a safe distance, which is in turn difficult due to its immense size. In addition to creating blades, it can also apparently devour an opponent after it charges into them, killing them. As a safety measure, Kurosutchi designed it so that if his Zanpakuto ever turned on him, it would self-destruct and return to its regular state. - Enhanced Endurance: Mayuri has a high tolerance towards pain and damage. In his fight against Uryū Ishida, he survived having almost half of his body blown off. - Genius Intellect: Mayuri Kurotsuchi is the most intelligent, scientific, and inventive mind in Soul Society. - Nisehada: an ability to meld with the color and texture of the environment. When he reveals himself, the topical camouflage flakes away. - Hidden Kusarigama: He is able to pull part of his ear out to form a scythe, attached to a rope-like ligament, for use as a kusarigama. It is easily as sharp as a standard Zanpakutō, and he is quite skilled in its use. - Expert Swordsman: While not as proficient in swordsmanship as some other captains, Mayuri is skilled enough to hold his own in a fight. His expertise with his Zanpakutō lies in his effective use of its abilities while in either Shikai or Bankai, rather than his swordsmanship skill. He relies on those abilities, or his pre-planned strategies, rather than actually engaging in melee combat with his opponent. Mayuri seems to be ambidextrous, as he wields his Zanpakutō in his right hand and his scythe-ear in his left (often simultaneously). - Shunpo (Flash Step): a movement technique, which allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. However, due to the effort to produce such speed, this technique tires out Kurosutchi, so he doesn't use it very often. - Nikushibuki: When Mayuri stabs himself with his Zanpakutō while in its regular state, it shifts him into a liquid form. Doing so doesn't kill him, as it is a last resort technique, but instead simply leaves him unable to attack or be attacked, making it an effective escape tool. He can move around and speak in this form. He reforms after a few days. Backstory: He is the 12th Captain of Soul Society, and has the title of Head of R & D. He discovered the Multiverse after experimenting with portals that could connect different worlds together and accidentally opened one to the Multiverse. Naturally this interested him greatly, seeing new creatures he could research and experiment on, and the Shadow Eternity was willing to help him with that in exchange for his services. Perhaps he would show off a bit of his skill. He strummed his mandolin and said, "I'm a bard. However, I'm not just a simple traveling musician." He began playing an tune, causing a few of the occupants of the inn to fall asleep, some of their faces landing in their food when they fell. "I combine my magical skills with my music to produce certain effects." He stopped playing his mandolin, and the ones who fell asleep woke up again, wondering what just happened. "Direct fighting, though, isn't my thing. I will simply sit back and provide support while the whack-and-bashers get the attention of the hostiles," Alexander said, smiling. "So, how about everyone else?"
