Who came up with the idea to make our statuses quotes from philosophers, anyway?

We could be doing something productive with our lives... instead, we're here.

A random quote from some philosopher that we'll forget in a few moments.

Press laid there for a few seconds while a girl asked him a few questions. Slowly, he got up from the ground while groaning, "Uggghhh, I'll be fine... probably. And yes, that guy is a jackass. Got me while I was distracted." He looked up to finally get a good look at the girl, and he noted her... interesting appearance. "So, I take it you're also fighting these aliens?" Press asked while looking over the damage reports flooding the left side of his visor. Examining the various reports, his only thought on them was imagining how long it would take to fully repair his suit. Press then gave a mental command to his suit to deconstruct what was left of his wings after the crash, then looked around to see where he had crash-landed. As he did so, he saw the civilians who were trapped by the debris. Making a mental reminder to make that damned thief pay for what he did, he said, "Let's go help the civilians. What's your name?"
Still here, and still interested. EDIT: Actually, I think I'll leave it. Can't come up with anything useful. See ya.
This. In all seriousness, though, not that bad.
Name: Spy Age: Unknown, presumed mid-30's Gender: Male Appearance: A dashing rogue. Canon, AU, or OC?: Canon Universe of Origin: Team Fortress 2 Personality: Eloquent with words and even more eloquent in action, the Spy is not one to be trifled with. A lady-killer (figuratively) and a man-killer (literally). Keeps a calm head even in the worst of crises, and takes careful action during those crises. Abilities/Weapons: -Revolver: fires 6 shots. -Electro-sapper: disables and damages machines over time. -Knife: a butterfly knife, used for backstabbing or simply impressing colleagues with cool tricks that no one else can perform. -Disguise Kit: contains a mask that allows Spy to take on the appearance of another person. Also has a small supply of cigarettes. -Invis-watch: a watch that can render him invisible. Lasts indefinitely, as long as he stays still, otherwise his silhouette will become visible if he continues moving for too long. -Dead Ringer: a special invis-watch that will allow him to fake his own death, dropping a realistic hologram of him while shielding him from harm and the visible spectrum. When decloaking, it makes a loud sound signaling his location. Backstory: Most of his history is unknown. Employed by Redmond Mann as a mercenary in an attempt to steal Blutarch Mann's share of land they inherited in their father's will. Followed Medic and Heavy into the Multiverse after they did not appear for several days and RED team consequently lost many battles. His main goal is to now bring them both back and get them back to their respective jobs. Faction: Neutral
Seeing Bolt fall, Press believed that was the end of that. He then began to check up on Horus, linking to its camera feed, and saw the alien leader for the first time, as well as some others who were most definitely not the aliens attacking the city. However, before he could come up with anything useful, something struck Press' right wing. Press soon began to lose balance, and started to very slowly descend, the hover feature no longer able to function properly. Lights and alarms began flashing as damage reports flooded one side of his visor. He needed to find a place to land and hide, and fast. Press quickly flew off, though slower than before. His wings could now barely manage to keep him aloft. The self-repair feature was already working on the damage, but it was beginning to wear off, and it was only a matter of time before his armor became a fancy-looking suit of scrap metal. He managed to make it to the original area where had fought Bolt earlier before his right wing failed. Press then began spiraling downward towards the ground, yelling, "SHIIIIIIIIIIII-" before crashing into a building and falling onto the sidewalk face-first. His shock absorbers kept him from any serious injury, thank goodness, but the impacts still disoriented him.
Press and Bolt actually flew towards to ocean. However, I was planning to bring them to you anyway.

Faction: Neutral --- I needed a character that didn't rely on big sticks to interact with people, and this was the only one I could come up with.
Daniel - Survival

Daniel took his time getting to his Survival class, using his Scroll to guide him. Upon reaching the class, while noting that there were already quite a few students who had arrived, he immediately started wandering the class. The old weapons, the cans which were filled with some unknown substances, the guy strumming a guitar, they were all not what he had been expecting. Then again, there was a lot in this school he hadn't been expecting. Still, it wasn't exactly unpleasant. He walked over to the cans, wondering what could possibly be inside them. Deciding not to examine them more closely, he then went over to the pile of old weapons and wondered what they were here for. Some of them didn't seem like they could be used for their original purposes anymore. He then walked over to the cans, wondering what could possibly be inside them.

Then came the announcement that class was starting. The teacher explained that they would be jumping out a window to teleport to some unknown location, then jumped out of it himself, leaving no trace of him. Daniel, curious, wondered where that would lead. He grabbed a screw and waited his turn to go, then took a running start before throwing the screw in and jumping in head first, whooping as he did. Rolling on the ground to make a quick recovery, he quickly and smoothly got up from the ground. Well, this was certainly an interesting experience. Perhaps he could actually have some fun with this. He also wondered what those green rocks were for.
Yeah yeah, I'm working on it.
Hey @The Patriarch, it's your turn to post something for the battle between Press and Bolt. Waiting on you.
