Who came up with the idea to make our statuses quotes from philosophers, anyway?

We could be doing something productive with our lives... instead, we're here.

A random quote from some philosopher that we'll forget in a few moments.

Yeah, and I'm not even mentioning the grammar mistakes, mainly because I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt there. You know, like, maybe English isn't his first language or something.
Really, @The Patriarch? I didn't want to be the one to say this, but your posting style is... how do I describe it... convenient. Probably not the best word to describe it, but perhaps I should explain my reasoning.

The first thing I started disliking was when Bolt was shot by a security guard, but you weren't too badly injured due to a bulletproof vest. However, I was willing to forgive that since I myself have no experience dealing with bulletproof vests and shouldn't be one to judge about that.

Then Bolt was able to dodge Press' laser that targeted Bolt's bag of money. In that post you claimed that he "noticed the hero." How? Press and Bolt weren't exactly next to each other or even in front of each other when it happened. Still, I was willing to forgive that too, since there weren't exactly precise details about their locations.

Then on to the subject of getting shot by Press' laser. Bolt was hit by a laser bolt that explodes upon impact. And I mean EXPLODES. Bolt just shrugged it off like it was nothing. Bulletproof vest or no, intense training by the Shadows or no, Bolt does not have toughened skin or anything like that, so it shouldn't be possible for Bolt to not at least feel some lingering pain from that.

Finally, your latest post. Lifting a car, even if it is a completely totaled car, and your surfboard using electromagnetism? A guy that repairs a car in a minute? For a car that's practically been sliced into two? It sounds just far too perfect. Seriously, intense training by these so-called Shadows or not, He's still an adolescent. He's already been releasing massive amounts of electricity, and I highly doubt this car mechanic was right around the corner. Even if he was, repairing that kind of damage in merely a minute is quite outrageous. If it were that easy for anyone to do, Press could have done it himself.

What I'm trying to say is that you seem to be trying to make your character as unbeatable and as perfect as possible while barely staying under the radar of Mary Sue detection. You use this whole "Shadows" story as an excuse to have your character be stronger than an average adolescent. Thing is, our characters are still adolescents. They still have things to learn. You seem to have had Bolt learn everything but restraint. Frankly, it's quite too much.
Press nodded. Street Dragon, eh? Bit of an odd name, but then again, his own name was rather odd. "My name's.... actually, I never gave myself a name," Press said. "Didn't think I needed to. Oh well, I'll come up with something later."

Following Street Dragon, Press went over to those trapped underneath the rubble. Placing both hands on a particularly large piece of rubble pinning a civilian, Press instructed Street Dragon, "Alright, I'll lift this up, you pull him out." He began to tense his muscles, then continued, "On 3. 1, 2, 3!" He began to push upwards, slowly but surely lifting up the boulder. Thanks to his suit, he could do things that required more strength than a typical person had, but even that had a limit.

"Quickly now, can't hold this forever," Press said, his voice slightly strained.

Meanwhile, Horus decided that it had gathered all that was necessary. It began flying away, looking for an exit, while at the same time trying to hack into the ship's database to see if it contained the layout of the ship.
Daniel - Survival
Daniel listened to the instructor as he mentioned something about several tasks and the importance of Survival. He may have only a small amount of experience in survival, of any, but even he knew how to create a fire. At least, creating one his way. "A fire?" Daniel asked, already grinning. "That'll be easy." And it would be; after all, his Semblance could create fire. He went off into the woods and started to gather his own small supply of wood and tinder, completely ignoring someone's wisdom of gathering only the driest wood one could find. All he really did was gather a collection of sticks and the occasional dead branch on the ground. Taking his wood to a location close to the others but far away enough so that his wood would probably not affect them, he placed several sticks in a way as to resemble a traditional fireplace, with the ends of all the sticks meet each other. Then he grabbed a few more sticks from his collection and engulfed his hand with fire, setting the sticks ablaze. Dropping the sticks into his fireplace, Daniel grinned as he had created what appeared to be an actual fire, which was certainly more progress than some people had. "There we go, a fire. Easy as pie," Daniel said.
<Snipped quote by SilverDawn> his electricity mimicry power could allow him to out speed them
For one second, perhaps, and even then someone can still get used to it and predict where Bolt will be after that speed boost.
Alrighty, then. Name: Steve the Bandit
Hey-oooooo! Ahh I loved Borderlands. Only played BD2 and Pre-Sequel tho.
7 million dollars down the drain.
Sorry I couldn't make a longer post. Not much to really write up other than that.
Quickly slaying the last few zombies around him, Conna'Cel turned his head when he heard his name called. Seeing Rosaline calling them out, Conna'Cel made the logical choice of flying over to their location, shooting down zombies as he did so. The zombies were too low to touch him, so he was able to make the journey without fear of injury. Upon reaching the others, Conna'Cel asked, "What is the plan?"
Yeah in a bit. Got homework and stuff to do, so it may be a while. It will come up today though, for sure.
