Who came up with the idea to make our statuses quotes from philosophers, anyway?

We could be doing something productive with our lives... instead, we're here.

Ignoring Revel, Michelle turned her attention back to the Immortal. She ran behind a pillar to take cover from Specter's grenade, and was not all that surprised to see that it did no damage. The kill order then came, Crosscut and MicWiz were doing what they could to take him down, but they weren't doing much more than slowing him down. Michelle also knew that she couldn't just do nothing forever. As she got out of cover, however, the Immortal headed over to Witch. Alarmed, Michelle sprinted over, but she was too late. The Immortal had already snapped her neck.

As Chimera charged the Immortal once more, Michelle reached Witch's body, although not as quickly as Gloria did. Michelle shared Gloria's feelings, although Michelle was more accustomed to the idea of death. Her partner and best friend since childhood died in battle as well, after all. "She died too soon," Michelle muttered. After Gloria left Witch's body, Michelle knelt down and closed Witch's eyes, then turned her attention back to the Immortal. It was time for her to act.

...or so she would like to believe. How was she going to even attempt to hinder a near-invulnerable superbeing?
I kinda regret not giving Michelle any powers now. Leaves me doing next to nothing against Immortal.

I think I will just end up dropping this. I've lost complete motivation to make a post for this.
I was wondering why I didn't recall Beacon being on a floating Island. I mean, that clearly wasn't mentioned in the show.
Yeah, good luck with that, considering that no one knows how to do that.
Appearing alongside Revel and Chimera when she teleported, she saw the Immortal in person for the first time. She trained her submachine gun on him, but did not fire. After all, bullets weren't going to serve much more than an annoyance. That was the problem with people like him, that tough skin made any assault she could do pointless. She would have to rely on her teammates to do any significant damage.

As she watched the battle, she briefly wondered why the Immortal would come here. The nuclear reactor didn't seem to have any significant value, after all. Then came Revel's revelation about the Immortal trying to end his own life through the use of the reactor. Surprised, Michelle was momentarily stunned, then recovered from the shock. Those words made the mission to stop the Immortal even more imperative than before.

But what could they do? Their attacks didn't seem to be damaging him in even the slightest. There were some rather daring attacks, like Gloria's, though, although it was interrupted by Revel.

Her train of thought ruined, Michelle turned to Revel and said, "Then stop babbling and tell us! Quit wasting everyone's time!" She doubted the Immortal was more interested in his words than she was, and Revel's words were beginning to bore her. "What we need right now is a solution, not pretty words about ants and strength!"

Then Gloria's words came spouting out of her mouth. Only then did Michelle actually at least respect the bluff Revel was using. Michelle began to speak, but quickly silenced herself. Anything she would say would perhaps make it worse.
Name: Michelle Kine

Hero/Villain name: Sniper

Age: 17

Race: Human

Appearance: This person.
Costume to hide identity.

Powers:
-Sniper: As her name implies, she is able to launch projectiles, whether by flicking or throwing them. She is able to control the amount of speed and force each projectile has, and each projectile will not lose energy or be affected by gravity until it strikes something. Michelle can also change a projectile's physical properties (to a point) so that they can penetration better, make nonlethal takedown possible, etc.

Skills:
-Observation: There's not much she misses. If something is visible, chances are Michelle has spotted it.
-Nice aim: If conditions are great, it's rare for her to miss.
-Hand tricks: She needs to be able to send projectiles flying at any moment, so she needs to be good with her hands.
-Fist fighting: there's always going to be that moment when she runs out of ammo.

Weapons: None

Gear:
-Coin rolls. Quite a few coin rolls.
-A small collection of dice.
-Eraser, for ripping apart and creating more small projectiles.
-Binoculars, for those long range shots.

Personality: Michelle is quite the tomboy. She prefers to do things like start a fight or play violent video games rather than wear dresses and makeup. Still, she still has some feminine traits, such as caring about her looks. As a friend, you'd be hard pressed to find someone more loyal, and as an enemy, you'd be hard pressed to find someone less willing to give up.

Background: Michelle lived a fairly normal childhood, up until she was about 7 years old, when she discovered her power for the first time. She was being teased by a local bully, and she threw a rock at him in revenge. Michelle missed, but the rock made a deep hole in the wall it hit. Ever since that incident, Michelle was careful not to throw things at people, no matter how much she hated them.

However, what she had done also made her curious as to what she could do. She practiced her ability in secret, learning what it was and what she could do. She kept it a secret even from her parents, thinking that if it were revealed, she would be branded a freak, if not worse. Instead, when she got into fights, she would use her fists, or throw rocks without using her power.

One day, however, as she went into the kitchen for a midnight snack, she found a robber in her house. The robber noticed Michelle, but Michelle acted quicker. By that time, she had perfected the ability to rapid fire coins from a coin roll, and knocked out the robber with a few well placed shots.

After a bit of questioning from the police, Michelle's ability was finally revealed. However, instead of the verbal abuse of "freak" and "monster" Michelle had feared, she was deemed a hero to her parents. Michelle was glad about that, although she still had to go through the verbal abuse of concerned parents who say how dangerous it was and blah blah blah. From then on, she used her power a bit more frequently, although she still didn't want more people to know she had it. Old habits die hard, after all.

Other: None.
I wonder what some of us are to do now. Some of us are now stuck with either dead ends or pointless posts about the daily routines of life.
I may have lost interest.
