We could be doing something productive with our lives... instead, we're here.

Hm... either I did something wrong, or my presence and entrance wasn't even noted.
Best game ever, skeletons/10.
As Conner looked at his once beautiful and prosperous farmland, he sighed. It was nothing more than a barren wasteland with patches of dry plants. After a few minutes, Conner moved on to see his dragon partner Axis. Conner knew there was no point in doing nothing, so he had to keep himself busy somehow. Going over to a nearby shed, he found Axis sleeping idly. "Hey there, time to wake up," Conner said, gently placing his hand on Axis' snout and attempting to shake him awake. Axis' opened his eyes and raised his head lazily, turning to look at Conner. "I know, you like to sleep in a bit, but we've got things to do. If we don't hurry, we're gonna be late," Conner said. Axis then got up and followed Conner out of the shed.

Conner had gathered what little supplies and coin he had left into his bags; it would have to make do for now. Gathering them up and getting everything prepared for a journey, Conner got onto Axis and said, "Let's go, we've got a meeting to go to." Conner had received the summons message only recently, and wasn't sure if they would make it in time. Judging from the position of the sun, though, chances are they would. Axis took off, and together they headed off to the meeting point.

Conner hurried inside as fast as he could, knowing he was most likely late to the meeting. It wasn't that long since sunrise, though, so chances are he might not have missed anything important. Making a sudden appearance, he took a short moment to assess the situation. Seeing a crowd of people already inside, including a councilor, Conner assumed the worst. "Apologies for arriving late," Conner said, knowing there was no excuse for it. "How much of this meeting have I missed?"
