Who came up with the idea to make our statuses quotes from philosophers, anyway?

We could be doing something productive with our lives... instead, we're here.

Leander Xenovia

Leander let out yet another long groan as he leaned back against his seat on the bus. Of all the things he had been expecting for this place, he certainly hadn't expected the heat. Good lord, the heat. Leander also didn't think to bring a water bottle with him or anything, which meant he was getting rather thirsty as well. Leander shifted slightly so that he wasn't always on the same spot on his seat, although it was now getting a little difficult to find a spot that wasn't slightly covered in sweat.

Fortunately, the bus finally came to a stop, and Leander made his way off as quick as he could. Finding his luggage among the rest of everyone else's, he began making his way into the Duel Tower, where his academic Dueling life would begin. Now that he was here, Leander was a bit nervous about the whole thing. He had no idea what was going to happen now. Still, that was perhaps part of the charm, and Leander began rushing in even faster.

Unfortunately, Leander missed the first group for the elevator to go up and had to wait for the next. At least the inside of the Duel Tower wasn't as hot as the outside though.

Making his way up on the elevator with the second group, he then made his way to a table where Structure Decks were being handed out. Leander took a moment to admire the boxes. It wasn't every day that he was able to see such a sight. Unfortunately, people were already choosing Decks left and right, and it wouldn't be long before Leander might lose a Deck to someone else. Leander quickly made his choice, saying, "I'll take the, uh... Knights of Light Structure Deck." The deck was handed to him, and Leander walked away while examing the artwork on the box.

Finally, he made his way to a table where there were some forms for him to fill out. Leander gave the matter a bit of thought. After all, he didn't want to end up in a place where he might regret his choice later on. This was supposed to be a fun place, after all. At least, that's what he wanted to think. Standard Dueling was great and all, but he wanted to see what else was around. Turbo Dueling... what was that? Card games on motorcycles? Interesting, but also seeming incredibly dangerous. Finally, Action Dueling. That looked like the best choice for him, so he wasted no further time putting that down.

He also took the time to admire the Duel Disks. It also wasn't every day he could do something like that. Leander gave each one a good examination, and he ultimately decided to pick the lightweight folding Duel Disk. Leander looked around, then realized all the important stuff was out of the way for now. Leander then walked over to the seating area and got himself a comfy spot, then began to look over his Duel Disk and Deck.

This was going to be a good time, he could tell.
Basically everyone's doing Turbo, except me, cuz I'm doing Action.

Name: Leander Xenovia

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Personality:
Leander is a happy-go-lucky guy. He almost always has something good to say about any situation. However, there are times when he can act like an idiot, and there are times that he is clueless about blatantly obvious things, but that just adds to his charm. In Duels, his happy personality is expressed even more than usual as he tries to make everyone laugh.

History:
Leander was a pretty average guy at home. He had his group of friends, a normal family, etc. The only change in that life of his is when he discovered Duel Monsters. As he learned about the cards and the rules, he discovered that he liked it. A lot. So, he thought it would be great if he used it with his usual antics to make people laugh. Fortunately for him, Leander had decent skills for Dueling, so whether he won or lost, Leander was usually capable of giving his friends both a challenge and a laugh. As time passed, Leander also discovered Duel Academies, schools that taught people how to play Duel Monsters. Natually, Leander couldn't resist and his parents eventually sent him to the Duel Tower to fulfill his wish.

Name: Michelle Kine

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Personality: Michelle can seem a bit cold to other people. She often wears an expressionless face, and speaks in an emotionless to cold tone, if at all. Truthfully, she is just bad at expressing her emotions. She also tends to have a lot on her mind, which often makes it harder for her to express herself, and she is a bit shy. All of that adds up to what she is now. However, Michelle is a complete Duel Monsters enthusiast. She remembers the names and main cards of every successful Duelist to have shown up in the world, and possesses a decent bit of skill at the game herself.

History: For as long as Michelle could remember, she had always been a recluse. She made very few friends, sometimes none at all, and she rarely spoke with anyone. Instead, she poured her efforts into schoolwork and studies, and spent the majority of her time in libraries. She liked the peace and quiet. Her grades, of course, were exemplary. She didn't need anything else. Why would she, when she had everything she needed?

Even so, she felt unhappy. She believed she had everything she needed, but not necessarily everything she wanted. She felt like there was a void in her, something that was missing, but she didn't know what. As time passed, the feeling only grew, until even her regular locations didn't give her comfort anymore. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore. She decided to go outside and see what it was she was missing. She began walking around her town for a while, taking in the sights for once. Eventually, she came upon a Duel Monsters card shop. Curious, she went inside, seeing people with smiles on their faces, playing the card game known as Duel Monsters. The shop manager offered her a card pack to borrow for the time being, noticing she was new and all, which Michelle soon took an interest in.

Time passed, and Michelle became a regular at the shop. She was never the best Duelist, but she was... having fun. It was a feeling she hadn't experienced before, and finally felt the void in her disappear. She also began looking up various cards, as well as various Duelists. Duel Monster events, merchandise, etc, she was in love with the game. However, what really caught her interests was the Duel Academies. Schools dedicated to Duel Monsters, or at least teaching it. She did her research on the subject, wondering if it was alright for her to go to one. She liked Duel Monsters, but she also had to consider her studies. She asked her parents on the matter, and they encouraged her to follow her interests. Convinced that it was right choice, Michelle chose to apply for a Duel Academy after all.

Favorite Card/Archetype or theme: None; she likes all cards and archetypes equally.

Not many people have been posting anything, is all.
I wonder where everyone else went?
Basically all evolutions of Odd-Eyes, Pendulum and after, won't be available. Except possibly Odd-Eyes Saber Dragon.
Look who's back for a visit!

What's been going on while I was away?
Time to dust off the ol' Parshath deck.
Fuck H.A.T >:(

I keep losing to it.
